I walked in and was pleasantly accommodated by Val who pulled out all of the frames for my face shape and helped me pick the best fit.Trying on new frames is hard when you can't see yourself and she set everything up for me to have my new frames delivered to her location where I felt like someone listened to and sympathized with my issue.Thanks Val.Youre a gem.

While the providers were good, the front desk staff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. As…read moresoon as I walked in I was told I did not provide my insurance information prior to my appointment and they had called me multiple times and I never responded. Then I was told I would lose my appointment if I didn't provide the proper information within 15 minutes, this was after I said that it is my husband's insurance and I needed to get it from him. I also explained to the lady addressing me that I had provided all of my personal and insurance information over the phone when I made my appointment and that person had confirmed they had all they needed. I was rudely interrupted and told that I never gave them the right information and what I provided was wrong, granted I had given them my husband's social security number, DOB and the insurance policy number. I questioned this and I also stated that I never got a phone call or message but the lady insisted they called, she then turned around and told her colleagues (2 other front desk workers) "she claims she never got a call or voicemail but we left her multiple messages." At this point I'm calling my husband to try and get the info from him again, but because it took me about 10 minutes to give them this information, they still bumped my appointment time and 45 minutes later I was still waiting. I went and asked why I was not being seen, they had my information and had confirmed my insurance (it was the same information I had given them over the phone prior to my appointment). The lady proceeded to tell me it was because I had not provided my insurance information on time and then insisted again they called me multiple times. I advocated for myself and showed the lady my phone call log, never got a call or a message, why was I not being heard, believed, and why was I being made to wait now about an hour? I let her know I needed to go back to work and I had been waiting for this appointment for months. She finally told me the truth and said " I think what happened is that the person who took your information on the phone, who no longer works here, made a mistake and we have also been having issues with our system all day." However, instead of being honest or collaborative and trying to problem solve, they blamed me, were accusatory, rude and dismissive, when it turns out it was their error? I also experienced very different treatment than others there, I am Latina and it was interesting to see the hostility they had with me versus the soft and friendly tone they had with their Caucasian clients. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. I will never be going to this place again and unless you want to experience unprofessional staff, long wait times despite having an appointment, and different treatment if you are a POC, save yourself the time, energy and money and go somewhere else. There is a friendly optometrist just a few doors down, just saying. If I could give it zero starts or negative starts here, I would.

Walmart, Aberdeen, Maryland -- I am very concerned about what I observed while at Walmart on…read moreTuesday, April 28, 2026, at about 5:00 p.m. While waiting in line to purchase my items, I was looking around. What I saw was disturbing. I am a white woman living in Harford County, Maryland, where the store is located. I saw an older white woman employee at the exit on the grocery side acting strangely. Specifically, I observed the woman approaching black customers and overly scrutinizing their receipts, but did not do the same to people of my race. The employee would violate the black customers' personal space and go through their baskets as if they were stealing something; the behavior was apparent. This continued over and over. When I exited, the same employee gave my receipt a cursory review and waved me on. With all of the tensions going on, blatant racism only causes more division and makes things worse. Walmart should be ashamed of itself for contributing to societal problems. If people do not stand up to wrongdoing and evil, nothing will change.
