They want you to get all the bells and whistles and seem a little snotty when you aren't interested in options you can barely pronounce. Being a brick and mortar store, it's of course 3x expensive than an online retailer. If you like name brand and designer, you'll pay a pretty penny. If you aren't in a pinch I highly recommend trying an online retailer who can get you designer glasses for about $200 for a compete pair with all the options where visionworks would be like $600+. Some people, like myself who lose or break their glasses and need them same day.. visionworks isn't a bad option. I tend to like their "glasses in an hour" and how they like to get you in and out. Some may not like it or I've noticed some get angry having to wait for a consultant but these are commissioned employees. Go in knowing what you're getting yourself into. The is more of a convenience store when you're in a pinch. Update: was contacted by vision works district manager as well as the store manager. Was asked for my opinion and was given several apologies. It's humbling knowing visionworks reads their reviews and listens to their customers. They kindly compensated me for my inconvenience and I look forward to continued business in the future. Boosted rating from 3 to 5 stars. Way to go visionworks, you deserve it.

I was flat out lied to about a replacement/lost guarantee. I purchased a set of prescription sunglasses because of the fact that I was assured I could get a new pair if they were lost or damaged. I was given a card with that very promise. When I went in today to get a replacement, I was told by the current manager that it "expired after a year." I explained that this was never told to me by the manager of the store (who is no longer there) about any expiration. So, if you lose your glasses, or they get damaged on day 366, you're outta luck, I suppose! What a farce. The manager offered a 50% discount, but that is not OK with me since I was told that I had a replacement guarantee. No other offer from the the "manager," and when I informed him that I was not happy and would be writing a negative review, he merely said, "OK." For Eyes, as a business in this area, seems to all have low stars in any location.

The caller said she would call me back to reschedule, I never heard back from them. I called this morning to get rescheduled and was informed the appointment was not cancelled. I was in disbelief! What is going on there! I did not trust them and cancelled the appointment just in case they were misinformed., because I did not want to be charged for missed appointment. I requested that management call me so that I may discuss this issue with them. Then I find out that they reassigned my 10am appointment to someone else! Something seems fishy to me. I believe they wanted my time slot for someone else and figured I would not mind, telling me that the Dr. would not be in that day-9/25/25.

Visionworks used to be great but downhill after COVID. They used to have optometrists who actually performed in-office visits but, the company started Vision-link (virtual visits) during the pandemic and the optometrist were never returned in office. I stuck around out of loyalty, even though the equipment was often broken, service was slow, and employees came and went like a revolving door. I wonder why. The last straw? Well, I made an appointment for 3 weeks ago. On arrival, I was told that their equipment was down and had just restarted, that and it would be an 40-minute wait. I said, no problem and stuck around. About 3 people were ahead of me who have not been seen. I waited for an hour and half and decided to reschedule. The next available appointment was in 2 weeks. I said no problem, I would reschedule my other appointments. On the appointment day, due to an accident, I was 8 mins late. Immediately I arrived, the lady at the desk said, "we can't see you today, we have a 5-minute grace period". I apologized for being late and begged to be fit in. After all, there is still one person waiting to be seen. The man also stated he has been waiting for a while, and at the door it is clearly written "walk-ins welcome". The lady blatantly refused. I asked myself why I continued to take this nonsense. I requested for my previous exam prescription. They acted like they couldn't obtain it. They finally provided it when they found out I wasn't budging. As I left the building, I contacted Walmart Vision and was seen same day by an in-person optometrist who was very personable and works with a great crew. I was even provided sample contact lenses to try. I also found out that I have been over-paying for my contacts through Visionworks. I have been paying double the cost even with my insurance! Honestly, I'm glad this experience pushed me to make a change after these many years.

Lauren was super helpful, nice, and funny we didn't feel rushed at all and had great conversations with her! She was very knowledgeable and gave great recommendations! Customer service and information matters. Website and Google reads the clinic doesn't open until…read more8:30. Clinic makes an appointment with a customer for 8. Patient shows up at 8:15 because the clinic doesn't open until "8:30." They apologize for the "website being wrong" and state "it's been an issue for a while and happens all the time" but then won't let the customer keep same appointment (even though they were admittedly in the wrong). If they can't get their website and appointments right, then communicate with their patients that known website is wrong and then won't honor a patient's appointment when they were in the wrong, why would I want them to look at my eyes? Let's start the patient/doctor relationship on a good note. Thankfully I just need a routine eye exam and it's not an emergency! I'll be finding a different eye clinic to have my eyes checked out! Johns Hopkins, do better, your patients have busy lives and our health matters, our time is valuable to us and to be treated poorly from the beginning of the relationship is very disappointing.
