This shop is home to many many stylish frames that you won't find anywhere else in the area. Alex won't steer you wrong and won't let you buy an unflattering pair of specs. Be warned: your eye plan most likely won't cover the expense so you'd better really like what you select. There are no 2 for$99 frames, folks. My experience: I was looking for the same SwissFlex frame as my dude Anthony Melcurri from Hotel Impossible. I found Eye to Eye after an exhaustive web search. Terrible experience from the moment I walked in. The owner was too engaged in a personal phone call to greet me. Once off his call, he basically insulted my current frames; "who told you to buy that shape, that color...all wrong for you!" Then he proceeded to place HIS selection of frames on me and said whether he liked them or not and took them off of me before I could even see them myself! When he finally decided on a frame HE liked AND let me see them, he told me they were $600+! Fortunately I got a text from one of my kids and I had to leave to pick them up. It's a little pricey for sure, but you get what you pay for. I recently found out I had to get glasses for the first time in my life. Needless to say I wasn't too happy about it. Initially I went to a few place that seemed standard and like they wouldn't be too expensive (Pearl vision, Lens Crafters, Vision works) and the service was poor at best. Plus, their selections were pretty miserable. I was put off by the almost complete lack of interest from the people working even when I told them what I needed, explained I'd never had glasses before, and asked them for help/their professional opinions. They pretty much ignored me anyway. Not so at eye to eye! When I went in the guy was helping someone else but told me he'd be with me shortly and as soon as he was done with the other guy he came right over and started showing me frames that would fit my face even telling me what didn't look good and why and explaining what I should be looking for for my face shape/bridge width. This was fantastic since I had no clue what to get and I have a pretty small head so I tend to have a really hard time finding sunglasses too. Frames are usually way too wide for me. It took maybe 15 min of us going through different frames and me trying stuff on but we did find a FANTASTIC pair that I'm quite excited about. TL;DR this place has a pretty big selection and the dude that runs the place is really helpful and won't BS you about what looks good. OMGOSH!!! My wife wanted a new pair of glasses, so we went in to see what they had. She picked out a frame asked for a price. The young lady helping us told Alex (the owner) to help us, and before he even sat down, he asked ME where I got MY glasses. I told him, and he began to INSULT my choice of frames which he said were too big for my face. And he would NEVER have sold me those glasses. Next, he asked my wife where she got her glasses from, and after she told him, he said he would never have sold her the lenses, that he does not have lenses of that quality!!! He got reimbursed for contact lens and I bought my son very expensive eye glasses. Probably knows that he gets reimbursed more for contacts. When insurance company called his business today they say their records don't go back two years!??!? First lie. Then someone said he might have given us contact lens cleaning solution - second lie... STAY AWAY FROM EYE TO EYE LIKE THE BUBONIC PLAQUE Their business practices are very questionable. Recently, I ordered a pair of prescription glasses. I paid for the purchase in cash ($400 plus). I was told I did not need a receipt but fortunately, I did not leave the store until they provided one for me. When I went to pick up my prescription glasses the lenses were in a different frame than the frame that I had ordered. I insisted that Eye to Eye made an error and they disagreed. I refused to take delivery of the glasses and requested the frames that I had ordered. Eye to Eye told me that since it was buyer’s remorse and because the lenses were already created for the frames that I allegedly ordered I would need to eat the cost of the lenses. I tried to explain that they made an error. When I placed the order, I took a photo of myself on my phone wearing the frame I picked out to show a friend of mine. Even after I showed the sales person the photo, Eye to Eye did not want to return my money. Since they were out of stock of the frame I ordered and could not reorder the frame they wanted me to pick out another frame. This was not acceptable. I spent a considerable amount of time picking out my frame, they made an error, and then they wanted me to pay for their error. I was incensed at how they had treated me. Therefore, I demanded all of my money back. Again, they balked, so I threatened to contact the police if they did not comply with my request. Only then did they return all of money. Dealing with Comcast Cable's Customer Service was a dream compared to dealing with Eye to Eye and most people in Baltimore who utilize Cable TV would readily admit that they would rather get a tooth pulled then deal with Comcast’s Customer Service. read more

I had to give at least 2 stars because of the large selection of frames. Other than that, this was the worst experience I have ever had in purchasing eye glasses. Although he said he accepts my insurance, I had to make multiple calls to my insurance company and to the store to get Alex to agree with a price even close to what my insurance company said it should cost me. I was excited to purchase my glasses at Eye to Eye after being referred there by a friend. I found great frames rather fast and at first the man working there was helpful. (I think his name was Alex) Then it began...I was a bit concerned about the way the price breakdown of my frames and lenses was presented to me, there was no line items of cost just a total told to me. I was not asked what type of lense I would prefer, or even the choices available (tinted, coated, etc). I was just told what I wanted. Suspicious. I had an unrelated issue with the prescription and had to return three weeks later to get one of the lenses changed out. I was told my glasses would be ready two days later which was a Monday. I did not hear from the rude man at Eye to Eye Monday. On Tuesday I decided to give him a call to see if my glasses were ready and if I could pick them up prior to heading out of state for the holidays. I called the store and the line was picked up and then hung up on me 4 times in a row. Two hours later I attempted to call again and the rude man finally answered the phone but did not say "hello, eye to eye" ... or any other greeting just starting talking loudly into the phone that my glasses wouldn't be in the store until 12:30 and he would call me in two hours. I tried to tell him if they wouldn't be done by 1:30 I would just get them the following Monday because I was heading out of town. Before I could utter a word he cut me off, and told me "2 hours" and hung up. At 1:30pm my husband stopped by on his way home to see if they were ready before we left for our holiday trip. He was told 25 minutes, so he kindly waited. The man brought my glasses out handed them over, and rudely said "here". The glasses were not in the case they were dropped off in, nor did they have the cleaning cloth that was in the case. I came here to get a pair of glasses for my sister. The associates didn't acknowledge our existence until we asked for help. The girl grabbed the glasses off of my face and told them they were crooked and took them into the back. When she came out, the boss came up to me and asked where I got my glasses and I told him Walmart. He smirked and said "yeah, I can tell." He then tried to repair it by complimenting the way they looked on me, but then continued to rag on me for only spending $100 on frames. I explained that I'm a poor college student and he scoffed and just said "you get what you pay for."
