I am so disappointed with the deteriorating customer service at this lenscrafters. I have been coming here since I came out the womb (literally) and things have changed dramatically. They never have enough people on staff and every time I come in I would face really rude matter of fact attitude. I just want to get my glasses adjusted and I have been waiting here for almost 30 minutes. In addition, they are RIDICULOUSLY overpriced and always have been. You would think that with all this extra money they have they would hire more staff with better attitudes. For how much business I have given them I would really expect better from this place. read more

I had stopped in with my mother a few months back and she had a positive experience with glasses. She received them in just an hour as they advertise. My husband and I have decent vision insurance and recently it changed from NVA to Eyemed. They accept many types of insurance I believe including Eyemed. We were able to pick out stylish frames (Dolce & Gabbana for me and Ray Ban for him) and with insurance our total was $ 589 for both including frames, progressive lenses for my husband and reading/driving lenses for me (I am near sighted). Danny helped us and was very courteous. He didn't try and push any products on us. We knew what we wanted and he recognized that. We also had our baby in tow so couldn't peruse as leisurely as we might have liked. They were busy with several customer service agents assisting other people but we were able to be helped within 10 minutes and our glasses were ready in just over an hour. The selection is decent, the prices fair, and the customer service was solid. Would go back next year for sure. read more

SO HAPPY. A special thanks to Mr.Dunham and Ken! I believe they are the sales manager and sales supervisor of this wonderful Lenscrafters. So! My partner and I came in because he needed new prescription sunglasses. We had been to other lenscrafters, sunglass huts, etc and hadn't been so impressed by the selection and attendance from the staff. Ken was very knowledgeable and pleasant to speak with. So generous and welcoming. Mr.Dunham's hospitality had my partner and I walking out of this lenscrafters with smiles on our face! Overall, we were attended quickly and it was a full house. Pretty good place, been coming here for years for my glasses. I haven't had an issue with the people who make the glasses. Sometimes I've gotten new frames that didn't fit so well but they work with you on that. No issues with the optometrists for the eye exams. Occasionally I've had a sales rep help me who seemed to compliment anything I wore but I've had others give real feedback and advise for/against certain frames based on your head/face shape. A comment on one of the 1 star reviews: - if you've had the same prescription for 10yrs and the optometrist only recently increased it .25 in one eye, what are you complaining about? For anyone looking to get their yearly eye exam done this is a great option. The staff are friendly, the store is clean and I was seen very soon after I checked in. You can fill out your insurance information online prior to your appointment. I have not purchased frames at this location, only completed my eye exam. The staff/doctor was very helpful in communicating exactly what I would need to pay out of pocket for co-pay and contact lens test (which is billed separately on my insurance). Needed glasses in a hurry. Broken glasses and bad eyesight aren't a good combination. Went to LensCrafters wanting to test their "glasses in about an hour" claim. Not only were we waited on right away, even though it was fairly busy, but our salesperson, Sherry, was professional and courteous. We ordered the glasses and went to go have lunch. We hadn't even given our order to the waitress at the restaurant we chose (maybe 15-20 minutes after we left) when I received a text saying the glasses were ready. Amazing! Although overall I had a positive experience, there were a couple of things that irked me about this Lenscrafters. I did not like the fact that they were using out of date software to input customer information. It took way too long to get my information in the system, and it wasn't just because the woman working there was new, I could tell it was because the user interface for entering all my info was counterintuitive, causing her confusion. I even saw the dumb things the stupid app was doing while she was typing. It's time for an upgrade guys. When it came time to pick up my glasses, I tried them on and they felt great. I could see perfectly at a distance with them on which is what I care about. Now, I don't need to wear glasses all the time. I only need them when I drive at night or when I'm at some event where I'm far away from whatever is going on. When I took the glasses off my face and put them in the case, the older male associate was pushy and kept telling me to put them back on, and asked me why I didn't want to keep them on. I didn't think my actions warranted any kind of explanation, but when he asked me "why not wear them now?" the first time, I thought I'd just explain to him, that they fit fine, and I could see great, but I don't need to wear them all the time. Even my doctor said so. After he kept pestering me, and asking me to keep them on about 3 or 4 times, I told him that he just didn't get it (I'll admit it, I lost my patience with this guy, but I don't think I needed to explain myself here at all). Well, he shot back "no, but apparently you don't". I wanted to think that there was some miscommunication between us, but if he wanted to know if there was something wrong, or if I didn't like the glasses I just bought, he should have just flat out asked me instead of talking around the issue and repeatedly telling me to keep them on my face. I love my new glasses, but that guy was really obnoxious, and he probably enjoys telling people what to do or how to think. Ugh! I would have been able to deal with the technological issues, but when customer service is terrible, I quit. I'm not going back there. It's a shame, because everyone else was great, this guy was just a jerk. read more

I have never been to a LensCrafters before. Recently I took whole family for eye exams and new glasses. I was pleasantly surprised by the service providers by the doctors and all of the staff on the optometry side of the business. However, the eyeglass side of the business was kind of a mess in my opinion. Although they seemed to have a decent selection, I had a really hard time getting any help. Eventually, I was able to get a salesperson's attention long enough to get schooled on their wait-room system. I learned that they had an innovative system where the employees all kept track in their heads who was next. But, on busy days, you have to interrupt a salesperson while they are helping another customer to get into their hive-mind virtual line. That is really awkward. After waiting a very long time (over 1 hour after my exam ended), we were told that we were next. We were not helped next. Two other customers were helped after we were told that we were next. So we took our new prescriptions to Pearle Vision in the same mall and got helped right away. I would probably return to the optometrist at LensCrafters, but I don't think I would waste any more time trying to buy glasses from them unless I needed a new pair immediately. read more

Our family of 4 all have glasses from LensCrafters. We've been coming here for years. I like that they have our records, offer discounts, and will help you decide what pair to get. Their staff knows what looks good and what frames will fit your prescription. We also get our eye examines for glasses and contacts at the a joining eye care. The optometrists and staff are very friendly. The convenience of getting the examine, picking the glasses out, then wearing them within 90 minutes is worth it. Lastly, my kids have broken their glasses, lost a screw, and needed glasses to be tighten and bended back to shape. No problem, just take them back and they will fix them. For broken glasses - you do need the protection insurance but they were replaced no questions asked. read more

The lady behind the counter waited until I finished filling out my paperwork before asking me if I had ever been to a Lenscrafters before. I said no. She looked nervous. "Um...so we are a little pricier than most other places...." She proceeds to inform me that my out of pocket expense for JUST my eye exam is $70. That doesn't include the cost of my contact lenses or glasses. Ok, 1) I'm glad she told me BEFORE my exam, saving us a scene at the end and a trip to jail for me. 2) They have lost their ever loving minds. I'm not a cheap person, but this is a matter of principle. I've been wearing glasses for well over 30 years and never had my insurance not cover the cost of my eye exam! And guess what? I come out of my "free" eye exam with 20/20 (corrected) vision. So unless they're back there serving champagne and giving massages as you get your exam, I can't think of a single thing that would make them worth the additional expense. read more

I will qualify this by stating that I haven't compared this eye center to other places as my need for glasses has only come about in the last year. But there is at least one person here that has been with the same store for 30 years. That means she is good at her job, and also very experienced. I wish she had been the person that took my order, but she did assist with it towards the end. It was a relatively painless experience since I knew the style of glasses I wanted, and only one company this store stocks (ray ban) had it available. It took a total of five days to get my two pairs into the store, and there was no excess spam. Just a two line text letting me know when they were ready for pick up. But because everything in my view looks like it is melting in my right eye vision, I deducted one star. Either it will take getting used to the new glasses, or something went wrong with the prescription. read more

While I was with the salesman, he interrupted the conversation over 10 times to talk to other customers. Even during the eye centering measurements he was not focused on the task and the measurements had to be redone, and only then because another salesman noticed the mistake. The salesman couldn't wait to move on to the next customer and didn't give my glasses the attention they deserved. When I got the glasses from the lab, I immediately noticed 5 "crazing" lines on the left lens, between 1/8 and 1/4 inch long! They also forgot to add the edge polish and I noticed the cut itself was both rough and irregular. They remade the left lens and still did not add the edge polish! Another trip back to the lab and finally the glasses were ready. Total time spent: nearly 3 hours. read more

One should be extremely careful when working within the eye wear industry. Based on my recent experience with this establishment, I noted that the quality of service and reasonableness of pricing appeared highly questionable. Remember, the health of your eyes, and the quality of your eyesight, are at stake here. (Money is also a consideration, especially when presented with a $500+ bill for eyeglasses!) Having said this, the more money you pay for plastic or metal eye frames, does not at all ensure that the quality of care is assured or even justified. I highly recommend that prior to making a considerable investment in purchasing new eyeglasses that you seriously consider taking a few minutes by reviewing 'Consumer reports' on this topic, do some on-line research about this industry, and be aware that the above establishment, together with other similar retail establishments (Pearle Vision, Sunglass Hut, Sears Optical, Target Optical, Glasses.com, and others), all operate within the consolidated corporate operation of a single multinational firm named Luxottica S.p.A., which is headquartered in Milan, Italy. The firm also owns a number of eyeglass frame brands, including Oakley and Ray Ban. On the surface, one could reasonably conclude that such a controlling corporate interest may have an impact on free-market competition and, therefore, objective pricing for your eyeglasses. If you have healthcare insurance that covers your eyesight, you may want to contact your provider to learn of optometrists whom they recommend might provide a more reasonable, cost competitive, quality service for you. read more

After searching for over an hour to find an ophthalmologist in the area on a Sunday we came across LensCrafters. We called and were able to get seen by 2:30pm. The staff at this location were very friendly and helpful. Laura the store manager was awesome. She really informed my boyfriend on a lot of information he was not aware of. Got my glasses made from here twice and both times I ended up returning them because my left eye was blurry. I even got my eyes rechecked but the optometrist kept making my left eye prescription higher. The second time I got my glasses made the lens wasn't even cut properly there was dents on the side of it. Never going back here again. I even told the manager what happened he didn't even apologize for the inconvenience. read more

Only given a one star because there is no option for zero stars. I do not usually write reviews but this place is ridiculous. Customer service is poor, both from the optometrists and the floor staff, when there is an issue. I had an eye exam and contact lense exam done. I bought frames and recommended lenses. A few months after my purchase, the lenses began to have marks on them as if it was peeling off. I kept my glasses in a case and wear them rarely. Also, during my contact lense exam, the optometrist changed my prescription by .25 after being in the same prescription for the past 10 years. The lenses I wear only come in .5 intervals so I was unable to order my contacts when I was ready to. I had informed the optometrist of the lenses I wore before the exam. I called to see if my prescription could be changed back to what it was so I could order my contacts and was met with a very inflexible response. The optometrist refused to change it and stated if I wanted it adjusted, I would have to come in a pay for another exam. I explained to her that I had the initial contact lense exam done with the intent of buying the same contacts and they knowingly gave me a prescription I could not use. She basically told me "I don't care about the contacts you wear" and continued to tell me I would have to come in and pay for an exam. I refuse to step foot back in this store and I recommend you chose a qualified optometrist office with good customer service, quality materials and a caring approach in managing customer issues. read more

Bought a pair of Ray Ban Rx glasses. From the outset the screws to one of the legs of the frame were continually coming loose. I came in 3 times to talk to them about and all they did was tighten the screws. Within 3 months of purchase one of the screws came loose, fell out and was lost. When I went back to the store, they told me there was nothing they could do. Since I didn't purchase their protection plan for $35, all i could do was to purchase a new frame. They wouldn't even bother to contact the Manufacturer to see if they could get a replacement screw. I left upset that 3 months after having paid $500 for a new pair of glasses that were defective to begin with, and telling them several times there was a problem with the frame they accepted no responsibility and left me hanging. Fortunately for me Ray Ban does stand behind their product unlike Lens Crafters. I was able to get the frame repaired by Ray Ban because they have a two year warranty on their glasses something that Lens Crafters doesn't tell you about. They are just concerned with getting the additional $35 from you and then charge you another $50 dollars when you need to have the frame replaced. I did like Lens Crafters for the convenience, but with service like this I won't be returning. Even Walmart Vision Center Customer Service is better than this. read more
