I love this store for great bargains! I stopped in to get a gift card and found some items for my other list. It's all brand names as you would see upstairs in regular Nordstrom store but for much cheaper prices! That's the good, now the not so good: 1. Store is always messy and sizes out of order. 2. Lines are always long for fitting rooms which are usually messy 3. Checkout line is always long and this last time it was out of the lined area and back past fragrances too lounge wear-longest line I've seen yet for a store! Overall though if you want some great deals on brand name items you may want to give this store a quick look. I recommend trying this store. 4/5 read more

Love this Nordstrom Rack! Their shoe selection is unbeatable. This one is definitely better than the one down in Canton! Check for when they have sales. At the ends of seasons they do these crazy additional 40% off clearance! My only critique is they never ask about your nordstroms account. This Nordstrom Rack is definitely a bit less organized than some others I've been to. I wandered around for a few minutes before my shopping anxiety kicked in. Oh Nordstrom Rack, how I love thee!! I have been coming here since it opened. This location is on the bottom floor of the Town Center, below the Nordstrom main store. This is how the older "off" department" stores used to be, thus the term " bargain basement" was coined long ago. One way to get to this store is by taking the elevator down from the first floor of the main Nordy's. I always felt a little weird taking the elevator down, as if the classier people were looking down on the cheapskates- j/k. I don't really care, the bargains I find are worth it. There isn't a direct entrance from the street. The Rack's Main Entrance is closest to the tiny lot on the side of the mall facing Fairmount Ave. It's tough to find a space at peak times, but worth looking because you can get in and out faster. If you snag a space there, there is a Mall entrance. Make a left at the Forever 21 and you will see The Rack. There are some other downsides. The shoe area is a zoo! Racks are squeezed together tightly and I always feel closed in by the racks and by the people more concerned with the hunt than courtesy. The store itself is small, and kind of disorganized or downright junky. But if I get a great deal, I am willing to overlook this. I will say that this store was the bomb in years past. The really crazy deals on couture seems to have dried up a bit. But I don't buy Hudson or Joe's Jeans full price, and the Rack is the place to get top designers for less. Tamika at Towson is the best of the best for customer service. I have been using a cane because of foot surgery and I asked if I could push the shopping cart out to the mall door. It was difficult carrying a shopping bag with the cane. Tamika immediately said that an alarm would go off if I took the cart out of Nordstrom. She then , also immediately , offered to come with me and bring the cart back to the store. I have not seen customer service like this for a long time. Tamika made today a wonderful experience. Kudos to her and to the Nordstrom management for having such fine employees. read more

I am not a fashionista but I do like decent clothes and The Rack usually has the best brands at significantly reduced prices. I especially love "Clear the Rack" when extra discounts are applied to clearance items. Staff are friendly and helpful. The Rack rocks! read more

Okay, now that I've frequented 4+ other Nordstrom Racks (in both Baltimore and Los Angeles) I can solidly say this one has been my favourite to date. If I had stayed up to date with my check-ins, I've probably haunted this joint 50+ times over the past 4 years. Trust me. I've been here too much. **Disclaimer: I like going to places like the Rack, Off 5th, and Last Call (RIP) for luxury items, especially the sad, bedraggled 90% off ones that I can resuscitate. As such, I don't really visit for basic t-shirts and jeans; I mainly go to hunt for rare investment pieces. Not everyones cuppa, but digging through mountains of unwanted goods is cathartic for me in some weird hunter-gatherer capitalist way.** The good: The designer row section! I thought this was standard at all Racks, but apparently it is a rarity. Gather 'round children and I will tell you a story of the best deals I've gotten over the years: a $750 Helmut Lang blazer for $70 (in immaculate condition), multiple $300+ Theory and Ted Baker dresses for $100 or less (all mint condition), and a $350 Tory Burch sweater dress for $30 (it had a minor snag I easily stitched at home). Not only were the deals good, but the styles were also A+. I was surprised to see some of these brands' best sellers (not their ugly duckling pieces) down in the Rack. Admittedly not every visit is a hit - and I often cannot afford most of the Designer Row offerings - but probably once every 3 visits I'll find a slam dunk. Last week I got a $450 Veronica Beard cashmere sweater for $60 (just needed one small spot on the hem re-sewed). As for the staff, return policy, etc. I've never had a hitch. The line can get crazy long, but that's the Rack. The meh: This place in 2015 was the jam. I don't know who their supplier was, but the goods were GOOD. It seemed like a lot of the high end Nordstrom returns got shuttled down here. I can still find steals here, but I think when they did their overhaul in 2017-18 the merchandise became less "high-end rubbish bin" and more "discounted mid-range goods, arranged in a more logical fashion." For most people, this is a good thing! But I personally loved digging through the Russian roulette of discarded Burberry and Alexander Wang. While the items were more expensive, the discounts would often reach the 90% off range and you could find some really solid classics. Some of my Rack wins are going on 4 years of heavy wear and still going strong. That said, I just visited the new Canton Rack and, while sparkly and immaculately stocked, the range paled in comparison to Towson. The Towson rack also had greater breadth with respect to sizing as well. (For Canton, think lots of young, casual stuff like Free People - there's no "designer row" section for clothes and was sorely lacking in business appropriate wear). If I want $20 off a Madewell blouse, the sales rack at Madewell almost alway has deals of that caliber. I go to the Rack for goods and deals I can't find at the flagship stores. So thanks, Towson Rack. Y'all have been a business causal and conference wear saviour. read more

I think this is one of the only Nordstrom Racks that I have luck with finding anything. I came here looking for a reasonably priced pair of Ugg boots. I managed to find some in my size. I'm glad the shoes were organized so I was able to locate them easily. Usually in discount stores, they never really organize the shoes and you have to go through all the sizes hoping to find someone you like and in your size. In and out within 15 mins. The cashier was nice and her transaction was quick. I hope to make this my go to Nordstrom Rack when I'm looking for shoes. read more

Pro! This store has an ungodly bulk of variety. Con! There's no organization whatsoever. Shoes are grouped by size, and even then, they've been strewn around and moved. Pro! The prices are largely reasonable. I've found some pretty high-end brands for under $50. Con! If you want the matching mate for the shoe you want, you'll wait in line at the stockroom desk for quite some time. Pro! The checkout line moves swiftly. Con! You don't get a shoebox! Pro! You get to laugh at the people foolishly shopping in Payless as you walk towards Nordstrom Rack. "Good luck with that shoe purchase, serfs!" Con! The shoes have stickers on the soles, which can be pretty messy, and a real pain to remove. Pro! The stock turnover is pretty heavy, so even if you visit the store once a week, they'll always have something different. Con! The shoes have been tried on so many times, they can be damaged. Pro! Ladies will be excited for the enormous selection they have compared to the mens. Women also have more to choose from when it comes to accessories as well. Con! It's hot as shit in here. Pro! I have bought from Nordstrom Rack many times. I definitely recommend them. I have never had a bad experience.

I don't particularly care for this Nordstrom rack. I feel like it is a little junky and I would rather go to the newer one out Columbia, but of course I live closer to Towson so this is the luck of the draw. I was here because I had a $300 gift card so I ordered some Nike Air Vapor max but I wanted some Toms to wear to work so I decided to go to the rack. OF COURSE I found a pair for $30 #winning The line went really fast, but the MOST impressive thing about my visit was the cashier Brittany D. She was so personable and I feel like she went above and beyond. She made sure that I was going to receive my points and she even called customer service for me to make sure I received my points for my Vapor Air Max but since I paid with a gift card I didn't get them. It's cool... I just wanted to say Thanks Brittany for you're amazing experience at the store and all that you do! read more

I went to return an item that was mailed to me and it was the wrong size. The associate did absolutely nothing to try to help us besides say call customer service. I work in retail and I know how it can be with returns but this associate did not try anything else to help. I will definitely not be going back to this location. She must not enjoy her job. Especially their Clearance and "Clear The Rank" promotions + Decent selection of items: Shoes, Mens, Womens, Formal, Casual, Athletic, etc - Several staff-members are uninformed and lackadaisical - Cleanliness and organization don't always meet a reasonable threshold - Common to find pins on and in the carpet of the changing rooms so step carefully - Long lines at peak times with only a half-dozen cashiers Final Verdict: If you are willing to put in some time digging through piles/racks of clothes, walk away if the deal isn't right and have reasonable expectations going in, you can absolutely find some fantastic bargains. Gifts, essential wardrobe pieces, or just a cute/dapper accessory for an upcoming event; it's all there if you have a bit of patience. I absolutely love Nordstrom Rack. In my quest to become a more responsible adult, I haven't been going to the Rack as much as I used to, but I used to be in here aaaall the time! Here's a secret: most of the stuff sold on the upstairs levels will eventually make its way down to the Rack - you just need to have patience! For example, the ladies of Yelp may be familiar with Maggy London and her dresses. I love Maggy London dresses, but I don't love Maggy London prices. 99% of the time if I see a Maggy London dress online or upstairs at regular price, I will find it downstairs 3 months later for less than half of the original price. The same thing happens with other various articles of clothing or shoes by other designers. Most of the time the clothing racks are well organized, but you may want to visit the Rack at an off time if you don't like dealing with a lot of people around while you shop. This especially holds true if you're looking for shoes; the shoe aisle works my nerves when they're too many people around. You may encounter long checkout lines when it's busy, but don't you worry your pretty little head, the line always moves quickly! Okay, for an outlet center this place is top notch. Honestly, it reminds me of Loehmann's... except without the awesome men's section. I snagged a great pair of leather gloves here for about 20 bucks. While I was looking specifically for gloves, I would have liked to have found a cute pair of jeans or a nice jacket to go with them. Again, referring to the men's section - There were lots of shoes and lots of clothes. Just nothing nice and it was all junked together. Who buys size 20 shoes anyway?!?! I doubt they had the same products available upstairs in the real store and that is a little frustrating. read more

SCAM ALERT !! DO NOT SHOP THIS LOCATION BEWARE AT REGISTER Cashiers are stealing your gift cards at Nordstrom in Towson. If you use a gift card at the register please check your receipt. Was at Nordstrom Rack in Towson on 10/11/14, and upon checkout the cashier essentially zeroed out my gift card. What this does is it makes it so the gift card appears on your receipt (after sales tax has been applied) but because it has been zeroed out, the balance of the gift card is then added to your after tax sale. Bottom line: you just donated your gift card to the cashier. Pretty clever, but I'm pretty certain it's illegal. Spoke to the Manager in charge at the Rack in Towson and she claimed she did not have access to the receipt. Baltimore County Police claim this is a fairly common occurrence, not just at The Rack. read more

There are bigger and better organized Nordstrom Rack stores, which was disappointing. The store was poorly organized, especially in the shoe section. The dressing room attendants were rude, and there were holes in several pieces of merchandise. Dissappointing experience all around. read more

I think the shoes are the ones people return . Hello , they should be reduced dramatically, if that is the fact!!! I do find thinks at the rack however; still expensive . You can get the same bras at Marshall's for half the cost. Many of the same thinks at Macy's for less . Although Macy's raises their prices and then gives you coupons. Yay! This is one of those stores where you have to be 100% prepared and in the mindset to rifle through piles of shoes and handbags and countless racks of clothing to find a few awesome finds. It's the place where rejected and unsold items go to retire and get sold at a cheap, cheap, cheap price so no one should really complain about the lack of organization. If you want a pristine shopping experience, head upstairs to the regular Nordstrom. That said, I found the brand Tex by Max Azria (the collaboration from France) which sells really lovely garments for super cheap to begin with, so with the added discount of being from Nordstrom Rack, it was amazing. I got a t-shirt for $7 and a really soft sweater for $9. I also found a fun mermaid-fin-green organza ball gown-type skirt for $20 on the clearance rack. And I also left the store with a Philosophy Hope Is All You Need set (contains a purity face wash, microdelivery exfoliating wash, and hope in a jar moisturizer) for $29 (sells for $48 at Sephora, $63 value). They also sell hair supplies (Fekkai, Biolage, BedHead, to name a few), hair styling accessories (curling irons, straighteners), nail polish, and makeup. They carry many designer bags and have a decent selection of jewelry and watches. They also had a lot of fun shoes and prices were great. I saw a lot of Sam Edelman shoes for under $50. They also have a good selection in each shoe size, starting from size 4 for women. And since I have tiny feet (size 5), it was nice to see a variety in the selection in my size. Hands down the best place to shop for authentic designer wear at discounted prices. Went shopping here the other day and walked away with a new pair of true religion jeans ticketed at 360.00 and all I paid was 65.00. They are awesome studded on the butt and well worth the money. Found a new Burberry purse for my grandmother discounted to 300.00 originally 1,100 And finally I bought myself 3 new Burberry polos for 45 dollars each. I have been shopping here for many years and I will continue to shop here! I always come out of here with something. Whether it's a designer pair of Cole Hahn pumps or Calvin Klein undergarments. There is something for everyones taste here. I never leave disappointed.Sunday I didnt come for anything important. I was just out there with my bff. She was doing the shoooing and I tagged along. But I did score some awesome Hunter croc embossed tall rain boots in black. And I have been hunkering for a pair for months and everytime I saw a sale anywhere whether it was hautelook or guilt group, there was a major sell out each and everytime. I love this basement in the mall! LOL It's not really a basement, but it is on the bottom level in Towson Town Center Mall under the Nordstrom store...The Nordstrom Rack has clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry and accessories that are marked down to lower prices (clearance). This could be due to the item being out of season or perhaps Nordstrom upper levels are no longer carrying the merchandise, so the stuff ends up here. Everything in "The Rack" is name brand items and many people flock here to check out their selections. I love popping in here and sifting through racks and racks of shoes...I rarely go through the clothes because there is so much of them but there are good deals and good clothes in the RACKS. It can appear cluttered and not appeasing to walk in, but guaranteed you're going to want something while you're there. For the men you have your very own department. They even try to care enough for you "guys" to have a wall in the back dedicated to suits. LOL There are different styles, sizes, cuts and colors of suits for the dressed up look lol. As for everyone, The Rack offers everything from school clothes, casual, dressy, under garments, summer, winter, you name it. The shoe department is a little retarded because the shoes are abundant and everywhere. A hint while shopping for shoes is: they are grouped by men/women and by size, you try the shoes on with no assistance and the shoes on the racks are just one shoe for you to try on....if you consider buying the shoes you'll have to go to the shoe counter and have them retrieve the matching shoe from out of the back, then you can take them to the cashier and go on merrily about your day. Explaining this euphoric basement in the mall sounds weird but there are plenty of cheap steals and deals for everyone in the family. read more

I visit my Nordstrom Rack today. Let me just say I didn't know if I walk into Savers the thrift store or junkie Gabe retail store. The set up is awful. This store is too high quality to be looking that way. They have the under garments and the coats and ready to wear all in the same aisle. Everything is so brunch up together it's terrible. The handbag section is wrong. I love this store. But not going to shop here if I can't figure out what is what. They change everything around seem like every month now. Its not working. I wasn't the only one that felt that way. A lot of other customers was saying the samething. Please fix it Towson Nordstrom I love this location. Yet its started to look cheap. I love a good deal and I can always find one here. It is often a hunt, but that is half the fun. The store is seemingly disorganized, and sometimes it is, but if you know what you need, or what you are open to taking home (because let's be honest, if you are here, you don't "need" much of anything outside of a deal) you can be in and out. Oddly enough, I really like their women's workout section. I always think that shorts and tanks and sports bras are overpriced for something you are going to sweat in. As expected the shoes are AWESOME, jeans are great if you want a good deal on Hudson, 7 for All Mankind, or Joe's. For dresses this is my go-to. I love a good bargain. Ask anyone...the only running I'll ever do is to a Nordstrom's sale. That said, why do I feel like a troll when shopping in the Rack? The poor souls who work in this bargain basement are quite lovely. I feel like it's the corporate suits who view us bargain fashionistas as less than.....for example what gives with the insane lines? Yes they usually have 4 or 5 cashiers on busy days and the line moves quickly, but it's still crazy when it snakes to the back of the store and there are perfectly good salespeople upstairs twiddling their thumbs! Wake up suits! Gas is so high we all want a bargain! The clothes are awesome and stylish if you have the time and are in the mood to pick through the racks. I stopped into this Nordstrom Rack not having the highest hopes of finding what I was looking for, but expecting something to catch my eye at least. The name brands here are okay as well as the selection, but finding my size in places that were 2-3 dress sizes down is too unorganized for me. The staff here look overworked and do not seem to open to readily assist you at your whim. The fitting room was quite clean and well-kept, but the positives stop there. Also, the shoe aisle took only two minutes for me to run through before I realized there was not much to search for. Bland. Dull. Next! read more

This store has the RUDEST cashiers. I've had two bad experiences. The first was a month or so ago and I said "hello, how are you" when I came to the register but she didn't hear me and she (in a condescending tone) "hello, how are YOU" like she was teaching me manners on how to be polite and greet people. I don't need a lesson in manners especially when I was originally being polite. The next time I had a cashier that did need a lesson in courtesy. She ignored me the whole time she rang up my order and then just handed me the receipt. No, "thank you" or "have a nice day" nothing. You really have to dig and hope you came at the right time to find anything good here. Usually it's very picked over and not well maintained, i.e. sizes everywhere and random placement. Great place for high end cheap stuff! My wife can graze for hours on end, gathering the nuts and berries of high end reduced price shoes, clothes, shampoos, coats, and more! I prefer the hunt- dive in, score a great Robert Graham shirt, dart out and enjoy a nice espresso at the Nordstrom espresso bar right outside. Great place!! read more

The exceptional service and pleasent conversation we recieved from a member in the changing room, Ericia, really brightened are day. That said, I do nearly all my shopping online and come to the Towson store with returns. Staff has always been friendly, helpful and courteous here. I've obtained Nate Nast items for my husband for reasonable prices (I can't let him loose in any high end store or else he'll end up in the boutique area upstairs and purchase excessive amounts of designer bolero Nate Nast and Alexander Graham shirts.) I obtained Coach sunglasses for $60, with good selection. They also sell high end hypo-allergenic makeup at reasonable prices, so if I don't find a high end clothing bargain, I'm still satisfied. read more

I have never been to any other Nordstrom Rack and I don't know if I would ever need to. This one is Pretty Awesome! I always find really cool shoes or clothes or coats. It's really nice too, I don't think it looks picked over or dirty at all. It's especially good for me and other people with size 11 or 12 who have a difficult time finding shoes. This place is amazing. I got a pair of Seven jeans for $50 (and not the ugly weird ones. Hot ones. You should see my ass in them). This place has some amazing deals. It's sorta hard to pick your way through it (although perhaps it being a Saturday before Christmas contributed to the war zone that this place resembled). But you have to at least check it out.
