Yin arrived around 12:20 and immediately started my toes. In the middle of my service, a white woman walked in at 12:35 for her 12:30 appointment, and another nail tech walked up to me (the only Black woman in the shop) and asked if Yin could stop my service and service the other woman. Dumbfounded, I felt backed in a corner and said yes. This turned into me sitting with my toes half done for nearly 25 minutes before I finally decided to just leave. The nail technician that stopped my service seemed to care less. Yin was apologetic but at this point it meant nothing. In response to the owners reply: Try closer to 10 times. I scheduled my appointment for 4/24, but when I was about to leave, my phone alerted me that there was a tornado warning in my area and it was unsafe to drive. Luckily, I was able to call HV and easily reschedule my appointment to 5/25 with no problems! Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted with a cold water and directed to my massage chair. I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking! My first visit, I went for a more natural look (see photo with nude nails and silver flower design). I had them for about 2 weeks and one of my nail's gel builder did lift by the end of the second week (not pictured). Dani definitely took time at my next appointment to consider why that nail lifted and made some adjustments in how she applied her gel builder. The nails with the black stethoscope in the background was taken a day after my second appointment. I got SOOO many compliments on my nail design and, best of all, no lifting or skin damage!! The pictures of my nails against a white door is the retention after 2-2.5 weeks. Nails feel really strong and not a single nail has lifting. I have been a Patrick Nails regular since August 2025, and every time, I have had incredible service and flawless nails. Yes, they make you wash hands as soon as you arrive, which is a good practice. The chair is awesome with the back massage, or shiatsu. The foot bath is nice. The pedicure was OK, but my feet were really beat up, so he did the best he could. I decided to go with his recommendation for Gel polish, so it'll last longer. I know the other will last a while anyway. When that was done, then I was passed on to Mindy for the manicure.... she worked with me on the color choice, and it looks nice. My hands are all beat up too with gardening and manual labor (housework). Then she noticed that I could benefit from getting my eyebrows done. So they will still look natural. But my eyes and makeup will look better? Besides, what's another $12 when I'm already there and doing all this self care? She took me in the back, and voila, it's much, much better.
