I arrived a few minutes early and she was ready for me with hot water in the basin. I only did a pedicure and was pleased with how gentle and thorough she was. She did a foot scrub and massage for a long time. It was lovely! I didn't have her put on any nail polish today because my toes look so nice without it. On top of the service being such a great experience, Hanna is so kind! She is talkative and friendly and an open book... Yin arrived around 12:20 and immediately started my toes. In the middle of my service, a white woman walked in at 12:35 for her 12:30 appointment, and another nail tech walked up to me (the only Black woman in the shop) and asked if Yin could stop my service and service the other woman. Dumbfounded, I felt backed in a corner and said yes. This turned into me sitting with my toes half done for nearly 25 minutes before I finally decided to just leave. The nail technician that stopped my service seemed to care less. Yin was apologetic but at this point it meant nothing. In response to the owners reply: Try closer to 10 times. I mentioned my experience to a nail technician at another shop and he was bewildered along with the clients sitting next to me. I'll be sure I include your response in my TikTok video.
