Kevin has done an amazing job once again. I brought in this little design, not even knowing if he would say yes, and he did so happily. These took a little less than an hour and I am so beyond pleased. They are so cute!! If you're looking for quality service, this is your place.

I got my toes done today. I'm not sure who did them, but they did an amazing job. I just got my toes trimed and painted and it was only $20. I came in the afternoon and there was nobody there besides me. It was amazing and worth it.

I didnt catch his name but my friend says its kevin? well he did an excellent job. highly recommend! :) their salon is very pretty and comfortable too, felt very welcome.

Great people and service! Kevin and his wife Tiffany are the nicest people and they do a terrific job on nails - manicure and pedis! Clean space and nice new chairs! Definitely recommend!

Love this place! I walked in the first time without an appointment after several times visiting another place in the area and waiting for too long. A man, who later introduced himself as Kevin, told me they had others with appointments ahead of me, which I understood, so I was willing to wait. His appointment was late, so Kevin opted to help me while he waited. He worked FAST and still did an amazing job! I had an idea in mind when I walked in and Kevin literally did exactly what was in my head - better even! Kevin was able to completely finish my nails before his appointment made it in. I left super content with my nails, the price, and the speed. I don't get my nails done all the time, but I definitely will be coming here any time I do. They're great! read more

I have been going here for a little over a year and I am beyond disappointed with this. My main girl I went to no longer works there but I went because I don't know many nail places. One of the ladies made one pinky way too small and one way too big. I texted the lady I usually go to and found out where she was at. She took the paint off of my acrylics and saw this (photo below) I am incredibly sad and disappointed and honestly grossed out. They don't sanitize enough. I get my nails done every two weeks and now I need to wait AT LEAST 2 weeks probably more. Don't let the young girls do your nails, I literally have fungus growing under my nails and it's so foul. Never again. read more

I hate how they always try to get an extra 5 bucks off of you. Not truthful. Last time I was here last summer I got matte nails done and (not got mention names) did my nails and the final step is to apply the matte polish. He just wiped it with alcohol so they weren't shiny. Of course charged me extra for the matte and me not knowing it. I leave the salon and meet up with my girlfriend, and she says those aren't matte and I said I know. Then when I checked my bank account indeed I was charged extra $5. After that I was to never come back. Today, a year later, I come in for a regular manicure should be $10 bucks, but they raised it $15. Ok that's fine. When I went to pay she says $20 please. I'm like for what?? Oh because they had to take off my old polish to do my manicure. ??? There you guys go again very consistent with the extra charges!!!! read more

I've been going to see Kevin and his wonderful crew for two years now and I have NEVER been disappointed! I don't live close and have gone elsewhere just because it's farther then I'd like. I end up being upset with myself because I know better. No one comes close to Sun Nails! My nails last (I always get gel) for two+ weeks. They're so creative and willing to do anything to make the customer happy. If you catch them at a bad time it will sometimes take a while, but that just shows you how wonderful they are. They are worth the wait! read more

This is my favorite nail salon now.I was honestly fed up with mediocre places who rush me and I don't end up with what i want. This place though.. first impression was it was very open and big which felt better than my basic little hole in the wall i had been going to. The decor is very nice, and the station was clean. I made an appointment with kevin. He is a nail guru! the shape, hand painted details and rhinestones he suggested were flawless. everyone was and friendly and the price is good. I won't be going anywhere else from now on! this is where i put my pedicured foot down! Lol love sun nails! read more

A breath of fresh air! Literally! I appreciate the great airflow in this salon. Kevin & Trang did a fantastic job on my & my daughter's gel manis and pedicures! They were fast, but accurate and with perfect artistry! Gentle during cuticle work. Nice little massage. Very pleasant environment. Very clean. Super massage chairs. If you're looking for a place to fulfill all your Pinterest worthy nail fantasies, this is it! Mia did an amazing job recreating a pic I had. They are super into nail art and can do just about anything you can imagine, so if you like your nails to have a bit of extra pizzazz, this is the place for you! Prices are also very reasonable for what you're getting. I paid $40 (tip not included)for a full set and design with gel. I like that their pricing is clearly posted so there's no confusion. read more

The ABSOLUTE BEST nail salon I've been to. We went in at 6:30 before closing and we were greeted with a smile and they were happy to help us. I've never been somewhere so genuine. Kevin the store owner was hilarious and did AMAZING with my nails. He made us feel so welcome and I will make the 2 hour drive just to have him do my nails. I am so incredibly impressed with the service and my nails. We also got our eye brows done by a sweet lady and I don't know her name but she was so sweet and kept telling us how she was making us beautiful. And she gave us a hug on the way out. Had my nails done on Saturday. When they remkved my gel polish they buffed my actual nail to remove all the polish unlike using an instrument to get it off. It left my real nails all messed up. I let it slide and thought they might just do it differently then other salons. Today is Wednesday and my nails have already started to chip. Super frustrating. They were not busy either because 2 of the employees were sleeping on the front couch. I will definitely not be back. read more

I have been twice the first time was to try them out I did a mani pedi and took my little sis to get a little mani done. She loved her nails so much! And everyone was so sweet and nice. I went yesterday and got my nails done did an acrylic my reception is this weekend and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure my nails looked beautiful and I absolutely love them! read more

You know they're good when they make sure the edges aren't sticking to your skin! Perfect gel nails. Love the new owners. They're super friendly and inviting. Originally $20 but only $16 with their grand opening special!! (All services are 20% during special) Cheapest I've ever seen. What a deal! Definitely coming back. read more

All I can say is AMAZING. I've never been here before and called them up based on other reviews. My friend and I were able to get in for side by side mani-pedis within an hour on a Saturday. When we walked in, we were greeted right away. The salon is light, bright and CLEAN. Unlike other salons, the smells from the products and services were barely noticeable -- great air filtration and/or circulation. I was very impressed with everything. The ladies that assisted us were pleasant and THOROUGH. I will be back and hope to bring a few more friends to show them a nice establishment! Good deal ($35 mani-pedi), great service and happy nails, hands, arms, feet and legs! Thank you so much Sun Nails!!! read more

This is a nice place, fair price. I got Kevin and i requested checkered nails and when i told him exactly what i wanted he laughed as if he was unsure if he could do it. Me and my friend has make an appointment together and we both called and made sure they could do the checkered nail and they said yes. Although it looks good he was up for a challenge for sure, he kept going on about how it's hard. He did make sure everything was even and made sure i liked the length. Overall he should not have told me friend and i both that he could do checkered if he was unsure about it. read more

Sun Nails is one of many on my list of "must try nail salons". I'm pretty new to Rocklin so I foresee a lot of exploring and lots of yelping! So let me just get right to it... Pros: same day appointment- called Friday late morning and was able to get two appointments for that afternoon, two pedicures. The salon it self was clean, neat and bright. Seemed pretty new and not at all giving off the "whole in the wall" type vibe. Lots of nail polish selections. I saw the most of OPI, a few other that I am not familiar with. I did not do gel but it did seem like they had a good selection of that as well. The pedicure tubs themselves seemed clean, they gave us our files to take home. My nail tech filed my finger-nails for free. I usually get my finger nails filed when I get a pedicure because I'm terrible at it! The tech seemed like this was her first request for file only but she went ahead and did them at no charge. Even after I said I had no problem paying. OKs: I had to wait a bit after my sister to get my pedicure. Massage chairs weren't anything to write home about, pretty standard. Same with the massage. Standard rub down. It was $25 for regular pedicure. Not crazy high in my book but definitely not a great deal either. Typically in the bay I could get one for $20 so I thought it would be less out here. Cons: I don't really have cons per say, I'm just not super in love with this place. Especially for the price. If the massage improved immensely I would change my tune. Side note: the pictures of their gel work are pretty awesome so I'll have to check that out some time. I will definitely keep Sun Nail in mind but I'm still looking for my diamond in the rough. read more

Very nice place when i called the fit me in immediately , i love the way they do nails. the prices can get a little high with designs but just don't get them if you can't afford them , i just love jewels and such. The pedicure service , my mother felt was very rushed and we both thought they didn't ask to cut down the sides of nail or scrub the feet well. i payed 70 for my nails and toes. my mom paid i think 30. read more

My first time here and definitely my last time as well. They barely clean and file my nails. Cut was uneven and since one of the girl was so scared to cut big toe nails then she decided to just file it a little. I feel bad saying they cant speak and understand english but it was just frustrating to ask for something and they do different things or just making everything else worse. They decided to do my manicure and pedicure at the same time and my arms were cramping because I have to hold my arm high so she can be comfortable standing up and I have to hold my arm across my right side because she wanted to stay only by my right side while I was getting my pedicure. The worst and most stressful mani-pedi I have ever gotten. read more

I work at 2 hotels and my coworker had just gotten a manicure which I noticed because they looked amazing. She told me that she got them done here and the price was great. The following week at my other job I seen a coworker with some amazing set of nails. She told me that she got it done at a place not too far from our location and that the price she paid was very decent. I asked her what the place was called and sure enough Sun Nails was it. I had to check out what the hype was all about! I got my mani done by Mia (who was such a doll )and she hooked it up! Amazing work and definitely a great price! I will definitely be a regular here. I had an appointment at 5:30 but I was running late and didn't make it until about 6:03 so I called just to make sure if I could still come (taking in to consideration they close within 45 min) and they still gladly took me in. BEST NAIL SALON EXPERIENCE EVER!! I am in town visiting family for the holidays and I needed a manicure. I looked on Yelp and Sun's had the highest rating so I went. They weren't very busy so I only waited 5 minutes. The manicurist did an amazing job on my nails. Then Ana waxed my eyebrows. She did the best job ever! My eyebrows are so thin and uneven that I was amazed at how perfectly she shaped them. I can see why they have all 5 star ratings! I'm just sad that I love in Arizona and can't come back regularly. read more

I don't usually get my nails done but since I was getting married the next day, my mom and I went here to get our nails done. I got acrylic tips filled in with fiber glass nails, and a gel coat. I had some ideas in mind but nothing exact. I saw Mia (I don't know if that's how you spell her name) and she listened to every little thing I suggested. When I came back 3 weeks ago to get the gel removed and get regular paint, they shaved all the gel off without soaking in acetone. My painted nails came out bumpy. Now that I removed the nail polish, I can see the damage to my nail beds. I also felt like I wasn't treated as nicely as the other people who were getting gel manis and pedis. I felt like I wasn't offered water because I wanted basic service while the others had a warm welcome and were offered beverages from the owner. I feel sad that it will take time for my damaged nail beds to grow off.

The price: C- Pretty steep IMO. With tip, I paid $295. This was a discounted rate for a New Year special and it included a $20 cert for each of us on our next return. Comfort: A / A-. The place is beautiful. I love the pink tree and flower wall and decor. The place was pleasant smelling - not like nail polish as I expected. Though I was ready to go home and my foot water got cold before she got to my pedi. The foot massage was very nice. Company: A+ Sandy is very nice and personable and no communication issues. Very much enjoyed her company. Quality of work: A and F. The A part: My niece got pretty long tips and a nice pedi. They were all still intact 5 days later when she left to go home. The F part: My toes (some new tiger eye gel stuff) snagged all night on my sheets. Got up early to notice one of my toenails either started to cut too short or broke part-way with polish over it. No big deal, finished cutting it and filed it down. Two toenails were just snagging where they were cut but not filed. One other toenail, the gel just fell off somewhere. I know it was there - I watched her put it on, but by morning, it was gone. The next day, just half of another toenail came off leaving a shrarp ridgid line between polish and no polish. One foot got 3 coats of gel while the other only got 2. I didn't say anything as she had already started moving to the topcoat and it is still winter so nobody will see it. The worst part: My fingernails - to be fair, they were pretty jacked up to start with as I normally wear dip and long past their expiration. I ended up with new dip with gel on top and short and stubby uneven nails. I did ask to keep as much of the length as possible, but I only got that on one nail. The 2nd day into it, one nail chipped. Day 3, the whole nail - dip and gel polish disappeared while I was making a large dinner for in-town family and friends. I had to throw out the ENTIRE thing to save major embarrassment of not knowing where this fingernail had gone. Humiliating to throw away dinner when everyone is hungry. Another $500 to take everyone out because of a failed nail job. By day 7 - Just a week into it, I was down 4 fingernails and 2 1/2 toenails. I was able to swing into Creative Nails to get the rest of the gel off my 6 remaining fingernails on Saturday the 11th. Sandy wasn't there. 2 other men were and I asked for help to get them off. One of them pulled the container of nail tips and used one to pop the rest of them off. I asked if he had acetone or something else. 'He said this is healthier.' and proceeded to pop them off. Pretty uncomfortable and there isn't much of my natural nailbed left. Hell, I could have done that myself and possibly salvaged a bit of my own nails that are now super thin, flimsy, peeling, rough and breaking. After he told me I owed him $10., I wasn't about to show him my feet. I was pretty upset he even asking me to pay (and I told him they were just done), I forgot to use my $20 coupon. UGH. Sorry Sandy, I thought I found a gem, but I won't be back.

When we arrived there was only one employee available. 40 minutes later a couple other employees arrived. (Mind you this is 40 minutes after my appointment time) No one even asked if I was waiting for a service. They then tried upselling my daughter and another customer to get pedicures. So one started a pedicure and the other disappeared in the back. By that point I was so annoyed I never even asked to get my full set. I'll keep my money, thanks. Very disappointed that I had two appointments booked and no one there to do my nails. Thank goodness I let my daughter sit down first since it was her special day. He did an amazing job on her nails. Shape and color are great. But it took over two hours, which is longer than I expected. Quality is good. The space is nice. But customer service is lacking. Really disappointing experience. Why even have customers make appointments if you aren't going to staff for them.

Today was my first time when I went to this salon. I looked this salon up on Yelp and saw really good reviews, and the guy named Kevin got a lot of nice friendly comment and how good he is! I asked for him to do my nails(even tho I never went to this salon and I decided to trust the comments) and he is such s sweet heart. He was extremely friendly and did an amazing job on my nails as you can see!I am strongly recommending this salon guys!the staff are so friendly and the salon was pretty clean and peaceful. Amazing salon! Kevin is wonderful, did such a great job! I was amazed when I walked in not only by the decor or the awesome people who worked there, but also by how clean this salon is! And it's huge! Great place to go with girlfriends, as they had 6 or 7 spa pedicure chairs. I will definitely be going back! Best part? They are affordable!
