The server split it for us as we thought it might be 'BIG' due to retail price. Not so much. It was really small and off the French roll with old beef meat that was very rancid and not even chewable . The French fries were white in color and so under cooked. We should have known when we first walked in at lunchtime on a Thursday and the place was almost empty. They currently do not have a liquor license so maybe that is why they charge $3.50 for a fountain soda drink? Another Rip-Off!!!!! Sadly, we will never return to this GV establishment!!!

Then sat for 13 minutes before anyone took our drink order. We ordered the wagu sliders and the seafood pasta. Sadly I heard the waiter telling another table about the daily specials, ours didn't. The food came out within ten minutes. The sliders were well done and dry. Lacked flavor. Served with fries and ketchup on the side. Fries were good! Ranch was super watery and had very little flavor. The seafood pasta was rich, and served lukewarm. There were several pieces of decent sized scallops. No one checked on us during the meal and were in need of water refills. The place is super overpriced for the area. Too many other options in the area to come back.

We made a reservation well in advance and even then there were limited time options. The atmosphere of the restaurant is slightly upscale while still being cozy. I love all the plants! Our server was very knowledgeable and was able to give several recommendations. We ordered the grilled and chilled beets and the steak skewers for appetizers. The beets and everything that came with them was very fresh! I love anything with pickled onions. The steak appetizer was excellent and my dad could not stop talking about them. Next, I ordered the swordfish special and my dad got the pork chop. Everything was cooked to perfection and flavor was everywhere! For dessert we split the dark chocolate ganache. The ganache was very rich but paired wonderfully with the whipped cream and other flavors. I don't drink, but my dad also loved the cocktails he ordered! If Tito & Pep has been on your list do not hesitate any longer. I very much regret not coming here sooner and I highly recommend giving it a try!

Dark beams, creaky floors, mounted longhorns, and a massive old Brunswick backbar that probably has more stories than half the regulars. Walking in feels like stepping onto a movie set, except the beer is cold and the people are real. The menu is refreshingly short: burgers, a couple sandwiches, green-chile stew, and usually a burrito or enchilada plate. Nothing fancy, but everything is made in-house and tastes like it. We were bummed they were 86'd on the beef burrito the day we went but the cheeseburger more than made up for it. Hand-formed patty, properly griddled with crisp edges, good cheddar, fresh toppings, and a toasted bun that held together. Fries were hot and salty. Service is friendly in that small-town "you're not a stranger for long" way. Prices are fair, the patio dogs are welcome, and there's live music on weekends that somehow never drowns out conversation. Bottom line: if you're anywhere near Patagonia, make the detour. Grab a stool at the ancient bar, order whatever they still have left, and soak in one of the most authentic saloons southern Arizona has left.

VERY lowkey establishment with a very eclectic local representation at the bar and behind it. Everyone seemed to know each other and having fun at each other's expense... I just tried to stay as background noise and enjoy my burger with Modelo Negra. It's a solid stop if you just need a quick bite and beer. Just don't sit at a table waiting for a waitress... counter service at the bar will get you there.

I think it's around a dollar an hour. Totally worth the extra parking, can't wait to return!!

She's not a vegetarian, but since I'm a carnivore and will only eat a salad if everything else looks gross; you can say it's hard to find places. So I turned to Yelp and I was looking at places with 4.5 star ratings or above. The Black Iris Cafe was the highest rated on Yelp and Google. However, the menu wasn't very long, so I skipped it and looked at other places. My son and wife were looking up places as well, so we skipped over this place as we were trying to make up our minds. Finally after twenty minutes when none of us could agree, I mentioned the Black Iris Cafe and even better, found a space on 4th Street right away and that made up our minds. So we walk in to an empty restaurant. One of the two guys (the younger one) behind the counter (there was a young guy and an older guy) came out and asked us where we wanted to sit. Would you believe it took my wife. afew minutes to decide? The place was empty. Oy vey. So we get seated and order some beverages. I get a Diet Coke and my family gets water. We then look at the menu and the guy comes back to take our order. I was sure we were to order at the counter, but nope, he came to the table. Anyway, for such a smallish place and only two people working (one taking orders and the other doing all the cooking) we were amazed at the extensiveness of the menu. My son ordered a burger while my wife go the Green Goddess Flatbread and I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Flatbread and a basket of tots. The basket of tots was quite a nice size and easily was enough for the three of us. They were perfectly crispy and not overly fried which happens at many places. Again, the server brought a side of ranch and ketchup. My son said his burger was very good. It came out medium and was plenty juicy. The Green Goddess Flatbread is a vegetable flatbread and had so much on it that it could have easily been shared. The same with the Chicken Bacon Ranch flatbread. It didn't look super big, but it was heavy with ingredients and easily shareable. And it was delicious. And I truly didn't expect that. If I lived in the area, I would visit often and try everything. The staff were extremely friendly, the food prepared with love and attention, and the ambience was casual and light. The clientele was a hodgepodge of workers, college students, and families. I'll be back when I'm back in town.
