Whenever we go we always get great food and service. Every employee is gracious and welcoming.

I will say that the staff here are absolutely wonderful. They were more than courteous, and I have dealt with them on both a customer level as well as a DoorDash driver level. They will make you feel as though you are welcomed and I really appreciate that. Unfortunately, I'm not really a fan of the food. They're vegetarian courses are rather bland and needed a little bit more added to the imagination. The restaurant itself is pretty nice with indoor and outdoor seating. It is a smaller restaurant so you'll have to sit close to others but that's OK. Overall, it's a little underwhelming, but I have to give it props for their customer service, which is always amazing. read more

Good for a quick dine in lunch. The service is here is always nice. Quick to refill beverages and take your order. Staff are always friendly. Generally not overly crowded and not too loud. Lunch specials are cheap. Even with that the food is made well. Orange chicken , twice cooked beef, and sushi rolls are flavorful and cooked / made well. Chicken is Crispy , and not soggy or bland. From where I was sitting I could see directly into the waiter station. He kept wiping his nose with his hands as he had somewhat of a runny nose, and picking his nostrils! This happened constantly and he was also eating from a plate directly with his hands in between serving food and water to tables! Gross! At no point did he wash or sanitize his hands and thank goodness he was not our server. For me having worked in food and beverage, nose wiping and hand eating & touching your mouth without washing or using hand sanitizer particularly in this day and age of flu and covid is pretty much a non acceptable non sanitary behavior. Had dinner last night, and everything was excellent. Started with chicken dumplings and hot &sour soup. Yummy! Entrees: lemon chicken - lightly breaded, lots of white meat, delicious sauce. Lemon pepper chicken - very flavorful, ample chicken. To go containers are both microwavable and recyclable. Place was getting pretty busy when we left. We love Sun Asian Kitchen! Really awesome date night we enjoy! They get you right in, always good service. They keep our ice teas filled even after taking just three sips. Food is fantastic! Prices are decent (although no food is cheap any more). Dishes we recommend are any of the soups, coconut shrimp, lettuce wraps with chicken...but they will also do tofu if you ask which is what my wife likes. And it comes with a sauce that is pretty good. Even too spicy sometimes. It's actually never the same which is odd so we just go with the flow. I've also enjoyed chicken and garlic beef entrees with fried rice, but we do like to share a plate so we have room for sushi. Did I mention sushi? They have a sushi chef right there whipping up (or should I say rolling up) some down right tasty California rolls, tuna, salmon, or even fancier sushi rolls. Giving this a try, good location and they have a happy hour for drinks/sushi from 3-7 PM and 9 to close everyday. There was a language barrier with one of the server as she did not clearly understand that we just wanted to change the Noddles in one dish to something more suitable and she never confirmed with the kitchen so our order came out wrong. In addition there was little to no meat on my wife's dish when we showed and explained the same to her she stated that the dish comes that way. This is so unacceptable and again she never confirmed or brought anyone over to discuss her solution was to order more meat at an additional charge. Communication is key when someone is requesting a change be open minded to it or share it with others for understanding. Although everything else was good this was our only issue. Give them a try as we will to return again but request a different server. read more

Ok so STEVE yes STEVE is F-iii-Nnnnn Great I went in less then a hour before they close on a Saturday night I ordered a virgin Pina colada and asked for extra whipped cream he said there's no whipped cream but he would see what he could do ended up bringing me the Best Pina Colada I've ever had he went next door to twisted sugar to get me whipped cream when I was half way done with my drink he came and checked on us even asked if I wanted more whipped cream I said yes please and noticed he was walking next door to get it and was super sweet about it he went beyond and above for us and I will be back cause of steve and the virgin Pina coladas ask for Steve he's the absolute best read more

The most terrible experience ever I will not be back here I went to pick up my order and the food was over cooked and dry I asked the restaurant if they could please re make it since it was over cooked. The guy who might manages the place starting yelling to me that the food is not over cooked as he has been cooking it that way for over 40 years as he was touching the food putting his hands all over it which they wood not issues a refund for it or re cook .. sorry, not sorry. We have had good experience previously, but this last time was the last time. As indoor dining was closed, we ordered at the window and waited in the outdoor seating area. We asked the table be cleaned and were surprised with non covid measures ~ simply a wet dishrag. Food was disappointing as well. Mongolian beef should have been called Mongolian vegetable. Orange chicken was more breading than meat.. We have had limited - very limited outings because of covid and after this one, will likely not make any more, until things get better. We went here to try some Asian, Chinese food nearby. This place came up and we weren't too picky because we were really hungry. First, we came in and were greeted by this lady that seem to lack a bit of optimism seeing us (probably had a long time at work). We sat down and got our menus really quick. Our waiter came right when we got seated and got us our waters. Our waiter was nice...but forceful. He was nice with giving us time to look at the menu. When he served our food, he kept referencing that "ladies should always get their meals here." I'm alright with it but he kept saying it a lot which end up bugging us. Our food were huge! Really good price for what we get, but the flavor was okay. We weren't too wowed and it was too much that we had to take it to go. I order the Rock n Roll sushi and it was okay but I felt it was too much mayonnaise for my liking. When he asked me if I wanted the sushi boxed and I told him no (I don't bring seafood home because I believe it goes bad the next day). He gave us boxes and our check and asked us why I can't bring the sushi home and what's wrong with it. I already told him the reason but it was frustrating to deal with someone to confront you like that. I gave this place 3 stars. The food is okay but customer service is the key factor here. Last night my wife and I were celebrating and decided to go have dinner at Sun Asian Kitchen. We have had dinner before at this place and it was ok so we decided to give it another try. I don't know where to start so I'll start where it went wrong. Right after we got sat. We were given some water and told us our server would be here shortly. After about 5 minutes someone came and took our drink order but apparently she wasn't our server and about a minute later a man came by and he seemed rushed, asked for our order but we were still deciding so he quickly left. After a couple of minutes we were ready to start ordering and he ignored us for about 15 minutes before we had to yell at him what we wanted to start with as he ran past us and said "I am very busy, I am the only server" (which was a lie). He took our starter order wrong, we asked for 2 egg rolls and 2 shrimp rolls with Ademame. We only got 1 roll each, and the ademame had tons of salt on top. The server quickly left after dropping off the items and he would ignore us to take our food order for another 10 min. You could tell he was busy because he did not ask for help because there were only 5 tables in use, and all the other employees were available. We hordered the specialty sushy, and we had to wait 30 min for it to make it to our table. Every time we asked if our food would be ready soon he would blame it on the sushy maker and ask someone to check if it was ready, (come to find out he had left it sitting there for 15 min). After we finally received our food, we were completely ignored. The outside lights where we were sitting went out half way through our meal and we asked several employees, including our server, to turn it on since we could not eat in the dark but were ignored as well. 15 min later the manager came and he tried to be "funny" about it, than when we expressed our frustration he cut us off, blamed it on the homeless and walked away with an attitude. Oh! And before I forget! One employee sat down near us and started smoking a cigarrette, I looked at him and he said "sorry" and moved to the other side, of us... two tables away. Two employees got their food and finished before we even received our food. The bill totaled $90+, the edemame had WAY too much salt, the Sushy was warm (I am blaming the server because he left it sitting), and this was the worse service I have had here in Phoenix. I don't know that we will eat here again, for the price and the experience, I rather go somewhere else. read more

Sun Asian Kitchen has a really kind and fun owner who runs this restaurant with great vigor. The food is great! Definitely come here for the sushi, which has a great selection. The volcano roll here is so tasty, warm and citrusy, I definitely recommend along with the caterpillar roll for anyone who loves avocados. We didn't get to try entrees but for appetizers, I definitely HIGHLY suggest the shrimp toast! If you like honey walnut shrimp, also try the walnut tofu LOL.
