I compared 5 roofers extensively and Adam with Summit Roofing was the fastest, best price for the roof I wanted, and one of the only Owens Corning Platinum contractors willing to give me the OC Platinum warranty vs. their own companies workmanship warranty (better products required to meet the OC Platinum). Other roofers lost my business due to slow response, telling me they were hardly getting any commission, unwilling to use OC Platinum products, and more. Adam, is calm, kind, collected, knowledgeable, responsive, and felt like he had my back throughout. I was not an easy customer and he never broke stride. Five Star Plus Review We began this odyssey about eight months ago. A neighbor was getting a new roof due to hail damage from June 2023, and the sales rep looked across to my roof and came over and rang our bell to tell me I had damage too. A quick inspection confirmed it, but as is my habit before buying anything pricey I called up the three highest rated roofing companies near us to schedule inspections. They all three told me more or less exactly the same things, so without even asking for an estimate I chose the company with the rep I liked best - Trey Jones, Summit Roofing. He was laid back and low-key, very informative about their roofing process, and honest in warning me about what might be expected from the insurance company, Encompass. "Delay, Deny, Defend." There's a longer backstory, but in fact Encompass was absolutely determined not to pay. I could tell from the first time I spoke to the Encompass adjuster on the phone, before he had even seen our roof! Trey warned me it could take six months, and explained the steps we might have to go through to get the job done. Glad he did. Encompass even threw in two extra wrinkles Trey had rarely heard of; they were doing everything they could legally to make me give up in despair. Including phone messages threatening to contravene Texas law, though they wouldn't put that in emails! I wanted to quit. I was losing sleep over it, but Trey responded to every email or phone call patiently, and introduced me to their Appraiser early on (we did have to send the Demand of Appraisal letter - twice). He was a comforting ally for half a year. Encompass lost. We won. This is the fifth new roof I've gotten out of a hailstorm - '85, '87, and 2002 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and 2009 and 2023 in Cedar Park. Used to be the insurance company was your friend, and I never had to know about the negotiations between them and the roofers. It's a different world now. Oh, the new roof is beautiful, by the way. When we moved in back in 2005 I painted the trim and siding sections of out stone house with two colors I custom blended to match the Driftwood shingles on the roof. Different brand of shingles this time, and their version matches my custom trim paint even better than before. Summit has been super professional in every respect, totally 21st Century. Call them first after any serious hail and get on the list right away. If it's an insurance claim, you'll pay the same no matter who you use. And ask for Trey Jones, if you can get him. We called Bobby for an estimate on our roof that's been through a few hail storms over the past 1-1/2 years. He arrived on time and was very thorough in his assessment. Turns out that we don't need to have our roof replaced at the current time, but we did have some loose shingles. He secured them for us at no charge, explained everything he saw and did, and then showed us pictures he'd taken. Based on his professionalism and our experience with him at our house, we recommended him to my father-in-law, where he provided the same quality of inspection and feedback. Our roof had some hail damage. We got a a quick assessment and approval from Progressive and hired Summit Roofing because our neighbors had just use them. We knew that we wanted to upgrade to the architectural shingles so they sent me a link to pick out some colors then they dropped off some samples of those colors for me to choose from. Then we schedule a time and got our roof installed. From insurance quotes to installation it only took 3 weeks. The only downside side is you have to pay with a check. Their bank charges a huge amount to pay with card. They can accept card but they advise against it. I was out of checks but they had no problem waiting for me to get more and came by to pick up payment when I had them. Overall I highly recommend. read more

We had significant hail damage in 2021 which Summit Roofing & Construction replaced our roof and gutters. They were awesome! Travis Brawley came and gave us a free inspection, even tarped some areas that had started leaking for free!!!! He was very professional, respectful, honest and no pressure. He met with the insurance adjuster and made sure everything was taken care of properly. He walked us thru the entire process. They finished the roof in one day and the gutters the next day. Everything was cleaned up even better than before! Oh and did I mention they are a Preferred Owens Corning Contractor? We just endured another hail storm with significant damage again on March 2, 2023. Needless to say I immediately called Travis Brawley with Summit Roofing & Construction because of our incredible experience before. He again met with our insurance adjuster during the roof inspection and we were approved for a full replacement thanks to Travis. Thank you for responding. I just want to say that I don't know what you're talking about. I would never have stood up or not been home for a scheduled appointment. actually I work from home and I'm always here. You had two different painters come out and neither one of them would respond or answer my calls after they came to look at the issue. I was in constant contact with your office either by phone or email. I was asked to send pictures of the damage which I did. I've tried calling either you or the other owner and never heard back. I've talked to numerous people in your office over the years, trying to get something done and they would always say they'd have somebody call me back, which never happened. as far as working on the skylight that was not something that was planned. When your roofers worked around it, they took it off and when they put it back, they didn't do it correctly and water leaked into the wall. Both painters that came out looked at it and was supposed to get with you for approval. Your office even told me that they tried reaching out to one of the contractors and they wouldn't respond to them either. What's really unprofessional Is your office quit taking my call and they would let it go to the answering service. That happened numerous times. the last time I talked to your office they were sending somebody out I thought just to look at the damage. Nobody said anything about actually doing the work on that day. Usually somebody will come out and look at it first to make an assessment and then get it on the calendar. Unfortunately I had an appointment that day that I could not cancel. That was the last communication we had. read more

My roof sustained hail storm damaged. Summit roofing replaced my roof every single static roof vent they installed had severe damage visible from the ground. I was told the project manager had inspected the work and was sent a bill to my surprise I had to call him and requested to meet to point out the poor workmanship. The vents were partially replaced but I was left with all the trash sitting in my driveway for the last 24hrs. Summit was recommended by a neighbor and installed another neighbor's roof. We contacted Summit and they were super friendly and polite. We provided our insurance documentation and negotiated the install. Summit was super reasonable about cost. We had to wait a while for the shingles to be available. We went with Owen's Corning Duration shingles and Summit is a preferred installer. The roof was installed in less than a day and looks great. The crew did a good job of protecting our landscaping and cleaning up (except they blew shingle granules into our lawn and landscaping). We had to have some extra flashing installed. The flashing guys did a sub-standard job: it appears to be sound but aesthetically looks awful. That's my only gripe. Everyone at Summit was easy to work with and accomodating. read more

We had an older roof that sustained some damage from recent storms. We knew we were in need of a roof, and hoping that it was something could file as an insurance claim. We contacted Summit Roofing and they were ready to have someone out that same day! Brad was prompt and probably one of the friendliest people we're ever met in dealing with home repairs! The demolition and installation of our new roof was completed in less than a day, and the crew took the care to cover our property and driveway with a giant net to keep it clean, and catch any nails.
