I highly recommend Ed and his team at RTS. The re-roofing job on our DR Horton home was just finished today and we're very pleased with our RTS experience. In truth I rarely (if ever) write reviews even though I use Yelp often (I know....sorry) but I just felt compelled to do it for this particular occasion. I came to choose RTS after interviewing 6 roofing contractors and after a lengthy process of educating myself about the various roofing options for the flat roof on our contemporary home. I was impressed with Ed's knowledge and his general way (He's from up north, fast talker and a hard worker). But what sealed the choice for me was that RTS was recommended by the distributor ABC Supply and also recommended by another roofing contractor who was running in second place at the time. Those positive reinforcements of my own impressions and intuition proved to be dead on. Ed's team swooped in with five guys and tore the existing roof off in one day and with little mess. They then did the installation over the next 2 days. But here's why I'm writing this review: I'm a very, very picky guy, a perfectionist for sure. When there was a problem with some of the stucco after the job was completed I pointed this out to Ed. Without hesitation he said that he too could see it. There was no hesitation, no making excuses, no making me wrong. He was in agreement that something must be done. When his guys didn't have the skills to put it all back together as needed, he brought in another contractor/builder that he teams up with occasionally. While the other contractor was doing the job Ed stayed in touch with me regularly to make sure I was pleased with the work. In the end the job was done supremely well, the house is back in pristine condition, and most importantly, we have a new roof with an outstanding local company that I feel I can rely on if there's any issue or problem. One thing I learned while educating myself on roofing systems is that more important than the material chosen is the contractor and installers doing the installation. Ed and RTS are BEST IN CLASS. Ed replaced the roof of our previous home that was damaged by hail. He helped us get through the hurdles of the insurance claim process. We wanted an uncommon Terra Cotta shingle, which he was able to locate in another city and special order. The workmanship was fantastic and took the appearance and quality of the roof up a level. But it doesn't stop there. Several years later we sold the home. The week of the closing was during Hurricane Harvey. We noticed water coming in through the roof, which surprised us because the roof had been rock solid. We called Ed on a Sunday, and he dropped everything. He was out on the roof that day in the wind and rain trying to figure out what was going on. Turns out the roof installation was rock solid--it was a leaky AC Vent Pipe. We got the issue remedied, he helped quell the concerns of the buyer and the inspector, and we had a successful closing. You're not just getting a new roof with RTS Roofing. After a exhaustive search of all Austin roofers, we'd narrowed our search to two companies. We called both for an estimate. Ed, the owner of RTS, came over the same day to look at our hail-damaged roof and was quite thorough in his evaluation. He discussed options openly and provided a good deal of information. He also followed up at an agreed-upon time. The other company sent someone out, but he just hopped up on the roof and didn't ask questions or provide any information other than to say they'd send a quote via mail. Not only was RTS' quote significantly lower than the other company's, the materials they specified were far superior. Ed's personal attention to the issue clinched the deal. This was my first roofing job with R T S roofing : 1. Ed came out to my home in Burnet and spent over 2 hrs looking over my roof ! 2. He explained what was needed to me & my wife in very simple terms . We were impressed with the way he explained that the Storm Guard was important to be installed in areas of the roof to help stop heavy rain downpours ! 3. I've used Ed and his business on several occasions and he's always been very good to respond within a realistic time frame. His work on my roof was top notch and of a higher quality material than a much larger Austin roofing company. He also personally inspected the property whereas the other company said it didn't matter whether I was there or not. I thought that was a bit odd. Ed's quote was for less and with superior materials. We've been very pleased with our new roof and, while we hope to not have any hailstorms in the future, we will certainly call him again if we do. read more

RTS roofing did a wonderful job replacing the roof on my home, and fascia that the rain gutters are mounted on. His cost estimate was was right on and what I paid for. I experienced the loss of several rows of shingles during a windy few days in early November. I reached out to RTS as I had used them for another roof issue previously. I am glad I went back to them for the second time! They were in the area when I called and came out the same day to give me a quote. Once we agreed to pricing I waited for availability in their schedule and my issue was resolved within a week. As President of our Condo POA, I had to be very careful in choosing a roofer (our owners expect the best). RTS was the right choice! Ed was extremely helpful in helping me understand what needed to be done and what wasn't necessary. He changed out all attic vents (the leak culprit) and the flat portion of the roof where the vents and A/C units are mounted. He was on time and cleaned up the area after each visit.
