They communicated when their guy would be in my area and could stop by to look at the job and give a quote. Price was very reasonable. They not only came out and gave a quote, but said they could do it that same day! Way sooner than other places that gave quotes but wouldn't be available for a week or so. Some places wouldn't even do a job unless it was $2000 or more to make it worth their time, which my job was in the low $100s at best. They listened to my concern about another board that looked to have a portion rotted and they were able to include replacing the rotted part and not create additional seams between the boards--something I hadn't thought possible! Highlights are: good communication, great workmanship, timely service, friendly service. I definitely recommend this business!

This was an important project for us because the wall is now the centerpiece of our living room, and Larry treated it with the same level of care and attention to detail that I imagine he would give his own home. From the very beginning, Larry was kind, honest, straightforward, dependable, and incredibly easy to work with. There was never any pressure, games, or wondering where we stood. He communicated clearly, explained what he was doing, offered thoughtful recommendations when decisions had to be made, and was completely transparent throughout the process. It is increasingly difficult to find someone in the trades who combines genuine integrity with excellent craftsmanship, but Larry is absolutely one of those people. The quality of his work is outstanding. The accent wall came together beautifully, the fireplace installation looks clean and professionally integrated, and the entire project has a polished, custom-built appearance rather than something that looks like it was simply added onto the room. His attention to detail, patience, precision, and pride in his work were obvious throughout the entire job. He also respected our home, kept the work area organized, and made sure everything was finished properly rather than rushing just to get to the next job. Beyond the craftsmanship, Larry is simply a good, honest person. He is personable, respectful, trustworthy, and the kind of contractor you feel completely comfortable having in your home. That means a great deal to us. When someone is working inside your house for an extended period, character matters just as much as technical skill, and Larry gets five stars in both categories. We could not be happier with the finished accent wall and fireplace. It has completely transformed our living room and turned what was once a plain wall into the focal point of the entire space. We have already received compliments on it, and every time we walk into the room we are reminded that hiring Larry was absolutely the right decision. If you are looking for someone who is honest, skilled, dependable, fair, meticulous, and genuinely cares about the quality of his work, I cannot recommend Handyman Services By Larry highly enough. We would hire him again without hesitation and will absolutely be calling him for future projects. Five stars does not feel like enough. Thank you, Larry, for the beautiful work and for being such a pleasure to work with. Highly, highly recommended.

First and foremost, he has excellent communication, which is huge for me. He was very responsive, explained everything, and promptly answered any questions. Before and during the job, he also kept me updated. I was considering another handyman for this gig but his replies were full of non sequiturs. It was a no brainer to go with Eric. On top of everything -- Eric does siding repair, which isn't widespread. Most (if not all) siding companies won't do repairs, only replacements. Even worse, I had a hard time finding all that many handymen that did this sort of work. Glad I found Eric. Ultimately, he did a great job replacing a siding panel (had some rotted wood around a defunct dryer vent). He found the closest match and did a thorough and careful job. Oh and last but not least, his prices are reasonable. Don't hesitate.

Rebecca was wonderful to work with throughout the scheduling process and, when I had an issue with my first appointment, she listened to my concerns, stood behind the company's service, and made sure to send someone else to take care of the job. It really stood out to me how seriously she took my concerns and how committed she was to making things right. The specialist she sent out was Gilbert and he was fantastic. Gilbert was incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful of my home. He installed three ceiling fans and two faucets and completed the work far faster than I expected while still doing excellent, quality work. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and just genuinely great to work with. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Handyman, and will be requesting Gilbert anytime I need some work done in my home. Customers Beware! Property Damage. False Invoices. First Time Workers. Hiring HandyMatt does not…read moremean you get Matt himself as his website and texts suggest. Instead, I received someone who was working their first day ever for Matt with no supervision or heads up. We had a fairly simple workload to get completed. Towel Rods to install and twenty or so art/pictures to be hung. After five hours (5!) we had three towel rods installed and 3 pictures hung. Barely one item per hour. I was texting Matt all throughout the day that the pace of his worker was far too slow. He acknowledged the pace was unacceptable and agreed to comp three hours from the morning to get a more appropriate pace of work to price and to allow the worker to finish the work with feedback his pace had to improve. At the end of the day the worker then spilled paint all over our brand new wood floors in the nursery and onto a Lola blanket that thankfully saved our nursery rocker from being destroyed. He got it cleaned up better than I could have expected, but that was an extra hour at bedtime with babies crying and a room smelling of strong acetone to get things back to "normal". After the fact, I never received an apology from Matt. I was sent repeated texts and emails about paying his invoice. I had provided a link to the blanket ruined which he did not properly deduct the replacement cost from the invoice. He also sent through the invoice with less hours removed than agreed to and said he had "re-assessed" what he thought was fair. That his work speed went up after my complaints so that should have somehow forgiven the snail pace to start the day that was then capped by damage to our property. Overall, the one and only redeeming quality was that the worker was kind and his craftsmanship was good. We let him keep working because his work and presence was not an issue, but his speed and quality for the hourly rate were not at all in alignment. $110/hour is a premium rate for a handyman which means a premium experience. Premium quality and premium efficiency. I made it very known he could continue working but only if his speed was more appropriate or the rate was reduced to match his performance. I left offended by all of my experiences with the person that has their name on the business. Attempting to re-negotiate an agreed upon reduced rate AFTER damage in my home occurred is a bold move to maintain a reputable business. I let Matt know multiple times I would be letting my experience go public with a review and anyone who is considering hiring HandyMatt should really think twice before proceeding.

Jason is absolutely phenomenal at what he does. His craftsmanship is pure perfection. We hired…read moreJason to replace a kitchen island extension that was badly botched by a previous contractor. The previous contractor had left it with visible drywall screws wide exposed cuts, etc. It looked terrible. After panicking because our countertops were scheduled for installation and looking through Jasons Yelp photos, we knew we needed to get on Jason's schedule. He books out sometimes 3 weeks, and this was last minute. We ended up delaying our countertop installation by 3 weeks in order to have him do the work. Waiting for Jason to do the work was 100% worth having a plywood island top for those 3 weeks. He showed up on time and got right to work. His cuts are precise, and the extension he built looks like it's always been there. We ended up hiring him to extend our kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling and add crown molding to it, as well as add trim pieces to our cabinets' blank sides before we had them painted. We also hired him to modify and install a wood hood over our stove top. Everything came out perfectly. We are more than impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. This guy is a professional and the best kind. There was not one bad surprise with him. He even gave me some tips, as I was filling the cabinet handle holes prior to getting them painted. They came out perfectly. Thanks, Jason!
