    Dalton and my "new" bike!
    Sarah B.

i left my bike at my ex's house and of course what an ass he was and left my bike outside and it got rusty and uglyee!! Then I was like looking to buy a brand new hello kitty bike to replace this old one i had. Of course u cant buy this bike anywhere!! its not even sold online. So i called several places and they told me that they could not paint the bike or fixed it. and then I found Summit Bicycles on yelp of course and they said bring my bike in. Dalton he is a god send!!! Serious!! He restored my bike, polished, change tires, new basket, added my bell, added a new light, change my handle bars. he definitely restored my no longer can buy Hello Kitty Bike!! Thank u soooo much u dont know how appreciative i am and lucky to find Dalton!!! He said he worked on the bike himself. I think i dropped it off sometime this year, and i purposely told him take his time and i didnt want to rush him at all..but today finally i picked up my bike!!! Im so in love!! i mean its not perfect like wen i first bought it of course but again they cant paint the bike and he did the best he could! and its almost looks perfect.

I want to leave a #thankyouthursday note for Summit! I ALMOST got stranded recently because I had to fix my bike on a ride. I was out adventuring! LOL. I don't like that feeling especially when it's c19-pandemic close to night time, what was I thinking?..... I squeezed in before closing time and had to wait in for 6 feet apart distance and the mechanics had there shop open too! They let people into the store in small groups to shop and also to the back by the blue shimano sign? to talk with the mechanics! I really appreciate that because some bike shops at this time won't let people in and do curb side shopping. So here's to you Summit and thank you for coming though when I NEEDED you and thank you for all that you do for your customers! #thankyouthursday Enso#34 +/- Great mechanics Spacious TV for youtube sports! lol kinda hectic plaza/ driving because c19 careful!!!! lol _I hope that your ride is smooth and safe y'all!

As other reviews mentioned, it's a small shop, but that meant I could chat with the technician while he worked and he could offer me various options. He replaced the rear inner tube and added a liner and sealant, plus added sealant to the front tire (I would've had him add a liner to the front tire, too, but he only had one in the right size). I'd never had the bike serviced since I bought it online 6 months ago, so he checked and tightened various loose connections. He showed me some basic maintenance procedures like how to lubricate the chain (easy when you know how, but as a biking n00b, I appreciated the lesson). If I need work done in the future, I'll be a happy repeat customer.

Because of the tighter space, it can be a bit difficult to see where the line to get help is and where people are just browsing. The staff here is not bad. They were really helpful to my friend who needed a piece removed off his bike. They were kind enough to give it a try even though it was going to be a tough piece to remove. They were able to do it and the staff was kind to not charge but we paid something for the help. Overall the place can feel a bit cluttered but they do a have a lot of bike options. The staff is kind but the layout does make it harder to know if you are in line or the person in front is just browsing.

I wish there was a way to give this shop 100 stars - they deserve it!…read more I've been mountain biking for about 30 years, and am repeatedly blown away by what a great shop Lars runs here. They are incredibly well informed, patient when I am persnickety, and do a great job remembering customers from one visit to the next - I'm always greeted with a friendly hello as I enter. The products in store are well curated - these folks stock the parts they ride and race on themselves. Whether it's little tools, pads or clothes, or the new new drivetrain - they have everything (and have ridden it to provide a useful recommendation) Most importantly - I have watched them treat *everybody* the way they treat the "regulars" - it doesn't matter if you're there to spend $10 or $10,000. I watched once as the shop owner himself painstakingly explained subtle details of how their brakes worked to someone who clearly had no idea what they were doing, helping them understand their options instead of just slapping an expensive repair bill on the bike and moving on. That customer left understanding what they had signed up for, why it was necessary, and confident their bike would be safe when it was done being repaired. The service team does an outstanding job getting your bike rolling well. I am a pretty handy person, even worked as a bike mechanic long ago, and yet when I brought my bike to them to bail me out of an issue when I didn't have time to deal with it myself, they returned it to me in better shape than I've maintained it myself - it rode like a dream. They also went above and beyond when I had a brake seal fail the night before a race, and got me ready to rock in time. Huge props to Shane and Dylan!

He let me know that is is something he could fix and that he was familiar with the issue. I let him know that we've tested the battery and the issue was with the controller. He let me know that it would be $150 + parts. This guy had my bike for 3.5 weeks before I heard anything from him. When I did hear from him, he let me know that he did not have any luck when contacting the manufacturer on their website and that I needed to pick my bike up immediately or he'd be charging me $25 a day in Storrage fees. I let him know that I need more of a heads up to pick THE BIKE up before he begins charging me $25 a day and I inquired on what website he was attempting to contact for THE BIKE. Apparently this guy had been contacting the wrong website the entire time. I gave him the correct site to contact and he said he'd get back to me. I heard back from him a couple days later again with him, threatening Storrage fees if I didn't come pick it up. He was extremely rude, still charged me $150 for nothing, and charged me $50 because it took me two days to come get the bike. This guy is extremely rude and disrespectful and over charges for his own negligence.

Well, obviously, used bike salesman are just as trustworthy as used car salesmen but I digress. Both tires had holes in them and wouldn't hold air, and that's just what we knew of, so I decided we needed to find a good reliable bike shop for these and future repairs, so we turned to Yelp to aid us in our quest. They responded right away with some quotes and just said to drop it off at any time. The fact that they're a short ten-minute drive from our place doesn't hurt, either. Dropped it off for two tube replacements and a basic tuneup, during the course of which they found a shifter was out of sorts and needed replacement. It took about three business days (they have a lot of work and it's a one man show) but the owner is very nice and keeps you up to date with the repair via text, including having you approve any new repairs, as well as the cost. As long as you don't need it tomorrow then I highly recommend "Got Bikes?" for all your bike repair needs.

"Best Footwear Experience--Ask for Steve!"…read more I've been to countless running and shoe stores over the years, but my experience at the Campbell Sports Basement was on an entirely different level. If you are looking for new shoes, do yourself a favor and find Steve in the footwear department. His knowledge is genuinely unmatched. He didn't just point me to the newest or most expensive model; he took the time to understand the mechanics of my feet and explain the nuances of every shoe we discussed. He even had me running down the aisles in various pairs to ensure the fit and feel were perfect. It was easily the best customer service I've ever had, better than some shoe speciality shop! To top it off, I found out about their "Love Your Purchase" return policy. It's a total game-changer--knowing I can actually test these out and bring them back if they don't work for my feet gives me so much peace of mind. Between Steve's expertise and the store's return policy, I won't be going anywhere else for my gear.

It's having the knowledge and experience to answer customer questions, listen to what it is they're looking for and then make recommendations based on the customer's needs. Obviously the team at Hyland left a good impression on me 14 years ago. I'm looking to buy an electric trike now and I'm hopeful that they can help me out or at least point me in the right direction. I was in the market for some accessories for my son's bike and instead of taking the lazy way and ordering from Unca Jeff, I decided to do the right thing and support a local cyclery. And I'm glad I did. The Good: *Small private lot *Very convenient location if you live in Willow Glen or Cambrian. *Open seven days a week *Staff is super helpful and not pushy *Sell bikes and accessories, as well as bike maintenance and repairs. *I accidently bought the wrong type of rear bike rack** and I had already opened it and tried (unsuccessfully) to install it. I took it back along with the bike thinking I'd have to eat the cost of the rack since I'd already opened it, but they were more than happy to order me the correct one. Now that's customer service!! *Trade bikes for store credit *EXACT SAME PRICES AS AMAZON ON ACCESSORIES. I know that's hard to believe, but I checked, cuz you know... I'm a cheap-ass and am always curious, but yeah. The Meh: *No street parking on Meridian, but you can on nearby Blackford Ln. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a little tight, especially if you have a long vehicle and a hitch with bikes on it. Conclusion: Great little family bike shop with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended. **Be sure you know what kind of rear brakes your bike has either drum or disc when buying mountable accessories.
