The German shepherd in the showroom bit my son's arm - what the fuck ?
    M H.

My 12 yo son and I stopped in for a bike lock this afternoon- the on site dog actually bit my son - first bit his shorts then took two bites at his arm - broke the skin and left several welts . The employee didn't do anything to help in fact he said .... Yeah she plays with her mouth. Playing and bite marks are very different. What the fuck ? I sincerely hope my son's arm is ok . Freaked him out . We've purchased 4 or 5 bikes here and had service done over the years . I'd love to hear from the owner . If not he may be hearing from me . This just got ugly- it's 9pm and my son is in pain - several deep scratches on his arm two black bruise dots and a cut that broke the skin. I need your dogs vaccination records and probably your insurance info. Your dog is dangerous . Im very pissed !

Looking for a bike? With soooooo many local stores in the Bay Area, it may become overwhelming when searching for a bike, parts & great bike service. So why select Wheel Away for your needs? Again, with so many cycle stores in the area you can buy a bike anywhere. However, what you can't buy is professional service and someone who stands behind their warranty. I've just purchased by 3rd bike (Specialized Roubaix Comp), due to their pricing and warranty service. Stop by and check it out for yourself.

Had to come in to get a tube for the bike and they made it quick, simple, and easy. Ric took care of me at the cash register and he was the MAN!!!! Every time I have come in here all of the staff has been friendly, professional, and easy to work with. Come here for your biking needs. They got you!!!!

They…read morepopped up in my "rate your experience" section on yelp because I had recently done a search to see if they were still in business. I'm in the market to buy another bike and my experience with them was great so I wanted to give them my business again. It's so nice to walk into a store and speak with people who understand what good customer service is. It's not just about greeting someone with a smile. It's having the knowledge and experience to answer customer questions, listen to what it is they're looking for and then make recommendations based on the customer's needs. Obviously the team at Hyland left a good impression on me 14 years ago. I'm looking to buy an electric trike now and I'm hopeful that they can help me out or at least point me in the right direction. Now, obviously things can change in 14 years, but Hyland's been around for a long time and that alone is a testament at least to me about the quality of their business. So if you're looking for a bike, definitely go check them out.

Bike Ward…read more Family-owned local bike shop that's been in business since 1963, and at this current larger location since 1989. I was in the market for some accessories for my son's bike and instead of taking the lazy way and ordering from Unca Jeff, I decided to do the right thing and support a local cyclery. And I'm glad I did. The Good: *Small private lot *Very convenient location if you live in Willow Glen or Cambrian. *Open seven days a week *Staff is super helpful and not pushy *Sell bikes and accessories, as well as bike maintenance and repairs. *I accidently bought the wrong type of rear bike rack** and I had already opened it and tried (unsuccessfully) to install it. I took it back along with the bike thinking I'd have to eat the cost of the rack since I'd already opened it, but they were more than happy to order me the correct one. Now that's customer service!! *Trade bikes for store credit *EXACT SAME PRICES AS AMAZON ON ACCESSORIES. I know that's hard to believe, but I checked, cuz you know... I'm a cheap-ass and am always curious, but yeah. The Meh: *No street parking on Meridian, but you can on nearby Blackford Ln. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a little tight, especially if you have a long vehicle and a hitch with bikes on it. Conclusion: Great little family bike shop with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended. **Be sure you know what kind of rear brakes your bike has either drum or disc when buying mountable accessories.

It was very cost effective and IMO it works incredibly well for families with growing children. "Best Footwear Experience--Ask for Steve!"…read more I've been to countless running and shoe stores over the years, but my experience at the Campbell Sports Basement was on an entirely different level. If you are looking for new shoes, do yourself a favor and find Steve in the footwear department. His knowledge is genuinely unmatched. He didn't just point me to the newest or most expensive model; he took the time to understand the mechanics of my feet and explain the nuances of every shoe we discussed. He even had me running down the aisles in various pairs to ensure the fit and feel were perfect. It was easily the best customer service I've ever had, better than some shoe speciality shop! To top it off, I found out about their "Love Your Purchase" return policy. It's a total game-changer--knowing I can actually test these out and bring them back if they don't work for my feet gives me so much peace of mind. Between Steve's expertise and the store's return policy, I won't be going anywhere else for my gear.

Some cases are due to the combination of little issues such as slightly loose derailleur hanger, not tight enough qr, misplaced cassette spacer, slightly bent hanger and so on. With my limited knowledge, I thought my bike with some minor hassle is not fixable. I found Nathan's cycling service shop by accident and wanted to try out. He is such a calm and knowledgeable person. After he heard some issues I have had, he started overall fixes here and there. What a difference! Similar example I can use is that (although I have not tried myself) people benefit from good bike fit may feel this way. You thought you did the right things but only an expert can take you to the last mile. That's what I have experienced with Nathan's service. This is one of the places where I paid more than he asked because 1. I valued his expertise more than he valued himself and 2. He shared his knowledge which I may not be able to get from just watching YouTube clips. Try yourself and be pleased.

He let me know that is is something he could fix and that he was familiar with the issue. I let him know that we've tested the battery and the issue was with the controller. He let me know that it would be $150 + parts. This guy had my bike for 3.5 weeks before I heard anything from him. When I did hear from him, he let me know that he did not have any luck when contacting the manufacturer on their website and that I needed to pick my bike up immediately or he'd be charging me $25 a day in Storrage fees. I let him know that I need more of a heads up to pick THE BIKE up before he begins charging me $25 a day and I inquired on what website he was attempting to contact for THE BIKE. Apparently this guy had been contacting the wrong website the entire time. I gave him the correct site to contact and he said he'd get back to me. I heard back from him a couple days later again with him, threatening Storrage fees if I didn't come pick it up. He was extremely rude, still charged me $150 for nothing, and charged me $50 because it took me two days to come get the bike. Well, obviously, used bike salesman are just as trustworthy as used car salesmen but I digress. Both tires had holes in them and wouldn't hold air, and that's just what we knew of, so I decided we needed to find a good reliable bike shop for these and future repairs, so we turned to Yelp to aid us in our quest. They responded right away with some quotes and just said to drop it off at any time. The fact that they're a short ten-minute drive from our place doesn't hurt, either. Dropped it off for two tube replacements and a basic tuneup, during the course of which they found a shifter was out of sorts and needed replacement. It took about three business days (they have a lot of work and it's a one man show) but the owner is very nice and keeps you up to date with the repair via text, including having you approve any new repairs, as well as the cost. As long as you don't need it tomorrow then I highly recommend "Got Bikes?" for all your bike repair needs.
