Worth the trek (pun intended)! I was in search of the Trek Emonda 7 SL and this shop was the only place that had it in stock in my size. Not wanting to wait a year due to the bike shortage, I called and spoke with Colin who put the bike on hold for me with a $1,000 deposit. The trip to Los Gatos from Los Angeles was a tad far (500+ miles) but we lined it up with another task so it worked out perfectly. The shop is located in a cute little village area so upon arrival, we parked on the street and walked to an adorable cafe to grab a bite before heading in. When we arrived at the shop, the door was closed and we briefly waited outside from someone to let us in due to Covid-19 safety protocols. Once inside, we were greeted and promptly assisted. I took the bike for a test ride, loved it and purchased it. The shop had a great selection of bicycles, bicycle equipment, clothing, shoes, accessories, etc. and everything was well organized. Customer service was wonderful. Colin and 2 young teenagers primarily assisted us. But everyone was so friendly and helpful. A big thank you to them esp the teens. I love seeing hardworking youths. Bottom line, this is a wonderful bike shop!

Great selection and awesome service. Ethan was very positive and provided great service. I tried a few different bikes out for around the town riding. I settled for what I've named Tanya the Townie. Ethan happy added a few accessories and gave it a good once over.

Great Great Great service! When researching bike shops for an upcoming bike build I came across Summit Bicycles Los Gatos. Right from the start upon calling the shop I spoke with Chris. He was very helpful (and patient) in answering my questions, educating me on the process, cost and timeframe for the build. As the build was going to be quite involved (as well as being in a pandemic) he anticipated potential roadblocks and delays in part orders which worked out beautifully. I must say, throughout the 2 months worth of planning, their customer service and guidance never wavered. They were just as helpful as day one. Finally the day came to put it all together. After a day and a half the bike was ready and I couldn't be happier! The shop also has a great selection of products. All employees were friendly and easy going. Pandemic and all, they recognized the county mandate for wearing masks. They promoted social distancing as well, prioritizing health and customer safety which was reassuring. Kudos to Chris and the team at Summit for not only surpassing my expectations but also for doing it with poise and professionalism. I will not be going anywhere else! Thanks!

Chris, Colin and the team helped get me into a new bike even during the SIP and COVID-19. The team was great on the phone and getting a bike ordered, including answering technical and logistics questions. Then when the bike came in, they have a relatively easy process (a little que) for a one on one with a specialist, including setting up, fitting the bike and walking through some key details. Check out and I was riding all weekend. Thanks! Happy to have awesome local shops like this in the community with the customer service and expertise too!

The Los Gatos shop is about as beautiful and "cool" as a bike shop could possibly be, and the customer service we experienced here is on par with that. Already impressed upon our first visit here, we were completely won over by Gus, the official (or unofficial) mascot of the store and one of the most handsome, adorable and chill Golden Retrievers you've ever seen! My hubby and I popped in last week to check out a mountain bike that he's been eyeing and reading all about. Clay Walker helped us out and honestly was the most helpful, friendly and personable bike shop employee (actually I think his name tag said GM?) we've ever encountered. He helped my husband with all his questions and even let him take the bike out for a spin. You can tell these guys are passionate about bikes, and they were never pushy either. Meanwhile I walked around the entire store and couldn't believe how immaculate it was, how much great gear and merch they have, and how many different types of bikes they have from all the top brands for all ages and riders. We came back the other day to buy that mountain bike, and again the service and experience was exceptional (seriously, thank you Clay!). I never thought I'd be so excited to go back to a bike shop and I wasn't event the one getting a new bike! Plus we got some more time with Gus which was icing on the cake. Hope that pup gets some extra treats as his sales commission (haha). FYI they offer a couple different 5-year maintenance packages for their bikes as well, so they're always in tip-top shape for all your adventures!

I was in the market for some accessories for my son's bike and instead of taking the lazy way and ordering from Unca Jeff, I decided to do the right thing and support a local cyclery. And I'm glad I did. The Good: *Small private lot *Very convenient location if you live in Willow Glen or Cambrian. *Open seven days a week *Staff is super helpful and not pushy *Sell bikes and accessories, as well as bike maintenance and repairs. *I accidently bought the wrong type of rear bike rack** and I had already opened it and tried (unsuccessfully) to install it. I took it back along with the bike thinking I'd have to eat the cost of the rack since I'd already opened it, but they were more than happy to order me the correct one. Now that's customer service!! *Trade bikes for store credit *EXACT SAME PRICES AS AMAZON ON ACCESSORIES. I know that's hard to believe, but I checked, cuz you know... I'm a cheap-ass and am always curious, but yeah. The Meh: *No street parking on Meridian, but you can on nearby Blackford Ln. The Ugly: *Parking lot is a little tight, especially if you have a long vehicle and a hitch with bikes on it. Conclusion: Great little family bike shop with fantastic customer service. Highly recommended. **Be sure you know what kind of rear brakes your bike has either drum or disc when buying mountable accessories.
