I love the green soft chairs, the tables, and the chef statue greeting you as you pull in front of the building. He's right there in the window. The bistro honestly takes your breath away. I love it! So in the last two weeks, I've been back exactly four times. My first introduction was the Croissant Scramble with chicken and veggies inside, with the Arnold Palmer. My friend got the Croissant Scramble with brisket. The presentation of the croissants when brought to the table blew me away. It was wrapped up in the cutest paper with the ends twisted. The topic of conversation was how good the croissants were. Before we left, we ordered some delicious cookies. The chocolate chips were yummy. So I went the following day and grabbed some pastries! One in particular was the Pecan Bar. The following week, another friend and I stopped in for the Chicken Pesto Omelet. I like that the fire-roasted bell peppers and onions are cooked, if that's the right word. But l have to tell you, the Mexican Hot Chocolate drink brings on the flavor, as does the ice-cold Mocha. Of course, we got the Pecan Bar for dessert. So yes, I went back yesterday for the Almond Croissant. I know, I know!

Constantly had to refer to "calling her" dad to get information. Multiple things on the menu were not even available. Very "Mom and pop" and below average. Treated like it was a business someone's running out of their garage. Very unprofessional in 2026 in the city of Austin. Your menu doesn't even match what you really have? Customers can't rely on what they see online -- or even the in-store menu. That's disingenuous. We won't be back. Very disappointing.

The outside is a little boring, but the interior is dressed up a bit with a chandelier and bright shiny display cases full of baklava and other desserts. The employee offered us a free sample, which was a good start. I may be guilty of falling for the "Dubai Chocolate" trend, but I chose a few pieces of baklava that had chocolate pistachio flavor profiles. I also took a risk on a nest shaped pastry filled with lemon filling, and I think it was my favorite of them all! They have tables where you can eat your treats there, and wash your hands afterwards, which is important because there's almost no way to do it without getting sticky fingers. I ate two pieces there, and saved two more for the evening, which was a lot for one day, but it was sure a treat!

It was so hard to choose what to order, so I got milk and cookies ice cream, and a blondie. As I walked away, I wished I also tried one of their classic chocolate chip cookies. That's what I'll need to go back for next time! The blondie was good, but their chocolate chip cookies looked better. I'm now piecing together that they're associated with Tiny Boxwoods, a restaurant I'd heard of before. Their whole complex of white buildings feels like a peaceful little retreat in the middle of the city. We took my blondie to Pease Park (and I ate the ice cream on the drive there), but next time I'd want to simply stay in the neighborhood to eat it.

I stopped by to try the coconut sugar latte (there's a lot of hype around it) and I wasn't impressed. They took 20 minutes to get my latte to me and told me they had forgotten about it. Which is not acceptable and a waste of time. To compensate they gave me a cookie but the service needs major improvement bc they also got the couple next to me's order wrong. Overall I tried it and probably won't be coming back. It's objectively good but nothing stands out. There are plenty of other places in Austin to get your sweet treat fix. It's worth trying but not a staple.

There are so many different options and fillings, so there's definitely something for everyone. I think the bakery is run by an older couple who make everything themselves. Their are incredibly sweet and friendly and really try their best to explain the different fillings and pastries. One thing to know: despite what some of the photos might suggest, there is no actual seating area where you can sit down and eat. You'll need to take everything to go. We originally thought we could sit and enjoy the pastries there because we saw photos with a table and chairs, so I wanted to mention this for anyone planning a visit. Everything we tried was fresh, soft, and delicious. I definitely recommend giving this place a try! Just make sure to check the names and fillings beforehand so you know what you're getting. Personally, I loved all the buns we tried, especially the sausage bun and the sweet coconut bun. Definitely coming back!

Definitely one of those places that keeps you thinking about the cookie long after you leave. Everything else in the bakery also looks amazing, but the cookies are absolutely the star of the show. One important thing to note for first-time visitors: be very careful with parking. The lot next door apparently boots cars almost immediately if they see you park there and walk toward the bakery. It's not the bakery's fault, but it's definitely something customers should be aware of before visiting. Parking headache aside, this place is 100% worth the trip.

The inside is super small and only meant for ordering, but it was cool getting to see the masters at work preparing the food (don't film or photographer the employees though as there is a sign not to do so). There is a decent amount of seating via small tables and benches behind the restaurant, in front, and along the sides. Customer service was good! One employee was particularly sweet when he checked on us as we ate outside. My friend said that the food was amazing and that he felt grateful. Their patio area was FILTHY: tables with dirt and crumbs, napkins on the floor, grime. It was just gross. Then, in the very small space inside where you order, somebody brought in a massive slobbering dog (NOT a service dog) and the staff were completely blasé about it. So not so much into health codes here apparently. We each ordered a taiyaki, and also got 3 macarons and 2 donuts. The ube macaron had great flavor but was completely stale, so it sucks that they are serving old food. The vanilla-passionfruit and yuzu were much better (and fresher). As for the chocolate donut, we liked the flavor but we're not the biggest fans of mochi because something the texture makes it feel like you're eating something raw. Same issue with the pumpkin donut. We do have to say that the taiyakis were awesome. We had recently tried SomiSomi and these ones were definitely better. The "fish" has a great balance of chew and crisp, and we loved the consistency of the soft serve. One of us got the pumpkin and it had such a pleasant light flavor to it that wasn't cloying or artificial. So good. One of us had to get ube and black sesame in a cup because you couldn't swirl them and both flavors were delicious, as was the unique red bean paste (which we fell for when we were in Japan this past summer). If not for the sanitary conditions and semi-catatonic workers, this would be four stars. We can see ourselves coming back again at some point, and hopefully they can train their staff to clean up, smile, and not let customers bring filthy animals into a confined space. Three stars for now.
