Amazing dinner. All food is made in house. Appetizers of babaganosh and hummus both amazing. One of the surprise standouts was the artichoke salad, featuring bits of a (probably) deep fried artichoke topping a lovely selection of greens and such. The artichoke flavors were rich and complemented the dish. The pistachio baklava and ice cream were incredible. Best baklava I've had in the US. read more

Most authentic, fresh and flavorful Mediterranean food...ever! The food is actually too delicious to describe! Lunch is served 7 days a week. The lighting and decor really impressed me from the moment I opened the door. My senses and taste buds were both satisfied! This was my first time to have a roasted artichoke salad and I added beets, what a great decision! My friends had the falafel gyro with fries. They both were raving about their meals as well! The roasted artichoke side and hummus with pita were next level! No alcohol is served but you wouldn't want to dull your tastebuds and won't miss that glass of wine. I would drive back to Utah just to have a meal here! read more

We had just finished a great hike at Corona Arch and were hungry, but knew we had dinner reservations in just a few hours so were looking for something light, but delicious, to eat. My friend recommended Sultan for some appetizers, and I'm so happy she did. They have a very extensive list of both cold & hot appetizers, all of which sounded delicious and made it hard to choose. We settled on the Spicy Hummus, Babaganoush, Falafel, and Angry Cali (friend cauliflower) - a bit more than we needed for a "light snack" but absolutely no regrets here. I thought everything tasted amazingly fresh and yummy, though my two favorites were the baba and the Angry Cali. The hummus/baba also came with an ample amount of pita bread - two full baskets. Our server was so friendly and accommodating. The space is nothing fancy, but feels homey and welcoming. This was by far one of the best places we've eaten at in Moab, and I will definitely make it back here during our next visit! read more

Me and my girlfriend and my 10 month old baby came here to eat for lunch 12/5/25 & my girlfriend and I have been violently ill all night starting at 7/8 We have never gotten food poisoning this bad. Our baby just had diarrhea-thank god. We have been throwing up till our throats bleed, while having diarrhea(I know this is graphic, but it's to show how bad the food at this establishment is poisoned. We have to continue on our road trip tomorrow & are unsure how we're going to be driving with fevers, chills, constant need for a bathroom. Please do not eat here if you don't want to be very very sick. read more

So here I am again but I have a story that goes with the food. I ordered a to go order of the mediterranean steak. Once I got to my hotel room the water pipe broke so I had to drive 1 1/2 hours away to get another hotel. So the picture you see was the food that was in the trunk of my car for almost 2 hours. It was still amazing. Best steak in town. read more

Wow, this is the best Mediterranean food I've had in a long time. The zaatar bread appetizer is out of this world delicious. The restaurant decor is vibrant and fun. Service was also excellent, and the prices are reasonable. I can't rave enough about the food. I ordered the bowl which came with hummus, grape leaves, radishes, quinoa and salad. It was incredibly delicious and large portions. This restaurant is definitely worth going to! read more

I'll start with the good, the wait staff was very friendly and accommodating, always timely with the service provided. But the quality of the food here is the real Achilles heel. I ordered a kabob chicken plate while my wife ordered an entre salad. The salad was absolutely drenched in salad dressing, she's not a picky eater at all, but she couldn't eat even half of it as the vinegar dressing was just too much. My chicken kabob plate.. Left alot to be desired. The chicken was dry and over done, a fairly small portion id say maybe 4-5oz. And the rice... I would put money on it being cheap instant white rice. It was so dry and chalky and room temperature. Not at all what i was expecting. I was expecting soft buttery basmati rice.. As usually comes with Mediterranean kabob plates. The side salad that came with my entre was basically grocery store greens with a little dressing on it. But i guess thats most places.. For dessert the waitress offered us baklava. I watched, as she proceeded to take out a tin and put a piece in the microwave. It was okay, but probably also bought at the grocery store and (clearly) just reserved. I would wager that the only thing the kitchen actually cooked was my chicken and i wouldn't be surprised if it was just reheated chicken. Perhaps its the lack of quality ingredients out there in moab, or the lack of skilled chefs to cook the actual dishes. i can't say for sure. But this was a sit down restaurant, where the expectations are higher than fast food. But sadly, the quality was far far less than even that of the regular fast chain Mediterranean places back home in Los Angeles. I could not in good conscience recommend Sultan Mediterranean. read more

We came here for at least the second time if not, the third time in the last two years when we were visiting from out of the area. I had salmon artichoke that was absolutely delicious. The cauliflower was super flavorful. The salmon was perfect and the sauce that they make With the beats and everything else is just really, really, very different but very delicious. I would get it again. My wife ordered the Mediterranean bowl and said it was excellent. Also nice variety lotta different flavors. The falafel was perfect not overcooked. read more

Husband and I ate here twice for dinner after two other very disappointing meals at highly reviewed restaurants. Our dinners at Sultan were healthy, filling and delicious. Dessert of the homemade baklava was truly yummy. Not sickenly sweet in the least, lots of pistachios, and two healthy pieces with vanilla ice cream. My husband had Turkish coffee one night and expresso the other night, enjoying both. How they were presented was very nice as well. The restaurant is very nice inside and decorated well --- worth looking at all the details that make it authentic. Service was exceptionally friendly and prompt. Very curteous staff across the board. Very busy place!! We ate early for us...5:30 & 6. The second time there was a short wait and this was mid-week. Not sure if they take reservations but would suggest them if going later. read more

This is such an amazing place. The highlight was the Shawarma platter and you have to try the baklava which comes with ice cream. It is just absolute deliciousness, served on the table. Love the ambience & love the service. read more

It's hard to find good restaurants near National Parks, but this is a decent place, especially if you want food that's not American. The ambiance felt pretty busy, but the service was really quick. We tried the gyro platter ($18), which had good flavor overall, but the beef was a bit dry. I got the stuffed eggplant ($17), which was soaked in a pool of oil and had a bit too much Parmesan on top. Overall, I'm glad we ate here while in Moab, but I wouldn't seek it out again if I came back. read more

Best meal we had in Moab, no better meal after a day of hiking in Arches - this is a sentiment shared by many other reviewers apparently! We arrived around 7-7:30, right before a huge rush. Plenty of parking in the front and out back. Surprisingly large space. Spicy hummus and babaghanoush were great, with what seems like unlimited pita (within reason). Skip the calamari, comes with a thick breading that all came apart with each bite. That was my only complaint. Chicken and lamb kebabs were amazing. We got a side of chicken shawarma, meat only. Trust me, it will be the best $4 you've ever spent. All meats were tender, smoky and perfectly cooked, nothing overdone. Food served surprisingly quickly despite being very busy. We felt slightly rushed at the end bc of people waiting, but still plenty of service, water refills throughout. Ask for hot sauce if you're a spice lover, it won't disappoint.. and isn't given automatically. read more

Plentiful Mediterranean perfection in the heart of Moab. Literally everything is incredible here from the falafel to the hummus. Always prepared fresh with quality ingredients and cooked with passion and zeal. Moe and the staff welcome you in like family and the service and ambiance is top notch. Best restaurant in Moab hands down !! read more

The food was so DELICIOUS! The entree came with large portions, sides and a salad. The food had such distinct and rich flavors. We ordered the Baklava, which is homemade, and has pistachios which I love. It wasn't gooey or mushy like Greek baklava tends to be. The service was outstanding and the server's food recommendations did not disappoint. If you are in Moab, this is a "must eat" read more

Food was amazing!! The ambiance was SOO cute! Loved the decor and the music. The service was wonderful. My husband has food restrictions and they were so kind about doing slight accommodations!! The Mediterranean steak was delicious!! read more

Absolutely exceptional food and excellent service. We went back again for lunch before we left town. A hidden gem in Moab.

I've eaten a lot of mediterranean food over the years and I have to say, this place was at the top. We had Gyro sandwiches with a side of rice along with chicken kabobs. The Gyro meat & chicken was very tender and flavorful. The pita bread they came with was probably the best I've had, very soft. I also felt like the food was not overpriced like many of the places in this town. I would highly recommend this place. We did order take out but if you would to dine in, the atmosphere was very nice and authentic feel. read more

The service was fast and friendly! We started with a side of spicy hummus with fresh mini naan. I've never had homemade hummus and it tastes very similar to store bought. Between the falafel pita and gyro pita they were both delicious but the gyro pita is a bigger portion size! They load it up with gyro compared to the three pieces of falafels. Equally delicious and we were both full after. Gyro was very melt in your mouth and falafel didn't leave a greasy taste. read more

Fantastic food!! Wowza! My partner, our friends and I spent the day at Arches National Park and had built up a large appetite when it came time for dinner. Half of our group is vegetarian, so we were happy to find this place as they had many vegetarian options. We all shared the spicy hummus, falafel and za'atar pita bread - ALL of which were delicious!! I ordered the Oregano Greek Salad which was similar to a traditional Greek salad and was very tasty. My partner ordered the falafel sandwich with truffle fries as the side - he added some garlic Mayo to dip the fries into and I ate most of them Those fries with that Mayo were a deliciously unstoppable combo!! The decor of Sultan's was so cute and really set the mood. Everyone was very happy that I chose this restaurant and I recommend that you give it a try too! read more

After a long day of driving, we stopped by Sultan on our way to our AirBnB. We're SO glad we did. This might be the best meal we ate in our short trip to Moab. The appetizer plate we ordered included hummus, grape leaves, and babaganoush with a side of pita. Absolutely incredible. Personally, the babaganoush was my favorite, with the smoky flavoring of the eggplant really shining. Since I was in desperate need to stuff my face further, I ordered the Sultan kabab plate. OMG. The flavoring of the beef and lamb skewers was incredible, and combined with the basmati race, grilled tomato and pepper (the pepper isn't spicy fyi) and salad made it the perfect Mediterranean meal. I can't leave this review without also giving a shoutout to the great service. Thanks for taking great care of us! read more

Amazing food and great service. The restaurant is busy but very cozy. Everything we had was extremely good.

Great food here. Has good mix of Mediterranean and Indian style. It's was timely service.

Excellent foods. Very good service friendly staff. Beautiful decorated restaurant. Can be crowded...

The food is very good. We had the chicken kabob platter. Chicken was tender and flavorful and the sauce that came with it was very good too. Salad was light and went well with the chicken. Their fries are seasoned well. grilled veggies were also good. The best thing we ordered was the Tuscan shrimp. The sauce on that was really good. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is the service could be better. Took a long time for us to give our order - we had to flag someone down. Then when the food came, no one asked us if we needed anything or if everything was ok. Could be improved definitely. read more

I didn't eat here the last time I was in Moab, and I definitely regret it! The food here is fantastic! The owners are from Jordan, and as a fellow half-Jordanian, I have to give them lots of credit for their flavors. The service was also fast and friendly - our waiter gave us amazing hiking tips for the next day! I ended up ordering the Beef Shish, which was very tender and perfectly cooked. If I can get quality food for under $20 near a national park, I'm more than happy! Even though there are great restaurants downtown too, don't overlook this wonderful spot. read more

gem of the desert This place is BOMB. We came for weekday dinner and this place was packed. I quickly learned why. We started things off with the hummus which was yummy with warm basket of pita. I appreciated the nice floral arrangement of the hummus - brownie points for the presentation. For the mains, we got chicken shawarma platter and the sultan kebab. First off, the plates were HUGE. Chicken shawarma was perfect combo of crisp and tender. Served with tahini, a fresh salad, and seasoned shoestring fries. The sultan kebab was def the star of the show. It was a mix of beef and lamb - super super tender with just the right blend of spices. Served with a side of salad, a grilled green pepper, and a mount of rice. Despite the huge portions, we ate everything still because it was so delicious. As for the service, it was very quick and everything came out hot. Place runs like a well oiled machine. read more
