I'm writing this review to remind myself that the filet mignon always turns out better here than the cowboy ribeye. We've been going to Sullivan's for years at Xmas, and the food consistency is the same across both of the locations I've dined at (Indianapolis & Naperville). In general I like ribeyes better than filets, but not here. The filet is consistently better. The brussels sprouts here are below average too. The best side item are the mushrooms. I like the wedge salad too. We tried a bunch of drinks this trip. The $20 smoked Reposado & Mezcal was good and had the smoky flavor I like, but too much ice. The $20 New Old Fashioned was better. My favorite appetizer here is the $17 cheesesteak egg rolls. I could eat those all day. For dessert the $13 Banana Bread Pudding is always one of our favorites. Great place for a family meal. CostCo consistently has this restaurant on sale. You can get $100 worth of gift cards for $69.99.

Another great meal - We celebrated Christmas with friends here tonight and the ambiance was perfect for the occasion. Food was delicious, perfectly prepared, and came out at a good pace. Our server, Debbie, was attentive and kind! This is one of our fav date night spots and will continue to be.

Stopped in during happy hour and didn't realize it would be so busy. I was greeted warmly and also accidentally sprayed with water by a bartender. He apologized and cleaned it up right away, so no biggie. I order the truffle shaved ribeye steak. The flavor was good but the steak was a bit chewy. It came with fries and they were okay. I topped it off with a lavenderLimoncello which was refreshing. Asked about dessert and mentioned my birthday reward. I was offered a chocolate cake which I told the bartender I don't eat and no alternative was offered -even after the water incident. I'll be back for the happy hour deals, but I'll be ordering something else and hopefully staying dry

Made a reservation for our anniversary dinner, and this place treated us like we were the only ones there! The waiter was marvelous and we had a wonderful conversation with him about life, love and happiness. I absolutely loved the ambiance, it was so warm and intimate. And the food was amazing! My favorite was the dessert, and the hand written note with rose petals on the table wishing us a happy anniversary! Nice touch Sullivans!

This a nice upscale place to bring someone for a date or birthday. The waitress was very nice and explained everything. We were first offered water , standard mineral or sparking water. We tried both because why not the drinks were good. And the garnishes were even better. We ordered oysters which came with bread and lemon. They were okay not the best but enjoyable. I had the shrimp appetizer for a entree and it was delicious. Was eating light due to going to another restaurant after. The menu has a great variety and options for all. I have to come back to try more food but it's was great celebrating my friends birthday

Went for our 29th anniversary of the day we met. We stared with Beef Wellington Bites. They were really good. Husband said a bit too much mushroom but I loved them. We each got a Caesar Salad. His entree was an 8 oz Steak. It looked really good and had no complaints. Four cheese potatoes were good but I wish the chunks were cut smaller. Some weren't quite fully cooked. My entree was crab cakes. I didn't love them. They were too wet. I would have preferred them to have been firmer and more crispy on the outside. We got a free dessert of Bananas Foster Bread Pudding. I like it more than hubby. Service was good and atmosphere was good. They weren't super busy so it wasn't too noisy.

We came here for a birthday dinner - along with 5 other tables. This is apparently the place to go for birthdays, business dinners, large family dinners, and date night. The food was phenomenal - down to every detail. And the drinks were so good. Very expensive, but well worth it. I took one star off because we felt like just another table to our server. I appreciate when servers take the time to talk with us and explain specials, menu items, and their recommendations to us. We felt in the way. Would definitely come back and hopefully get a different server. I loved that someone come over and took our picture, printed it, and put it in a birthday card for us - for free. It was so thoughtful and kind to think of the small details like that.

I absolutely love Sullivans and it has become one of my favorite happy hour and lunch spots. I like to sit in the bar area which is pretty spacious with a dark ambiance. They have a $29 3-course business lunch which is an outstanding deal. There are TVs and on Friday evenings they have a live band. My favorite server is Alyse, she's super attentive and makes you want to dine in again.

Nice dinner, very pleasant service . Holidays made the service a bit slower, but still a nice dinner. The ladies restroom had 1 bathroom stall out of order and the other was a mess, so not so pleasant. But the dinner was good.

When I say we will be back! I mean we WILL be returning. The building, the staff, and the food! We couldn't have asked for a better server! Melinda was outstanding, kept our drinks full, the laughs going, and did an outstanding job of explaining everything to us as first time diners! I am very grateful for the hospitality shown to us. Service sells the whole deal always! The food was so tender juicy and full of flavor! The Cajun ribeye was falling off the fat and full of seasoning! The lobster in the three cheese was outstanding! The shrimp stuff crab was above and beyond what I was thinking! Don't save Sullivan's for only special events! This was an outstanding dinner with an outstanding staff! Again thank you Melinda! You were outstanding and treated us so amazingly! Made our night and my fiancées bit

Unfortunately, the last two visits at Sullivan's haven't been good. Both visits have been reservations with large groups, in which, Sullivan's is extremely accommodating, but the service has been very slow and subpar. The most recent visit was for 16 to celebrate a birthday during Devour. The restaurant was not busy when we first arrived at 3:00pm Sunday. We were in our own private dining space which we liked. We had 2 waitresses, but there were still long waits in between courses and checks. The wrong food was given to the wrong seat numerous times. Under or overcooked steaks had to be sent back due to them not meeting the request. Some parties opted to order off the Devour menu. After all orders were taken, we were notified they were out of salmon. Approximately, 6 had ordered the salmon. They did allow us to substitute the salmon for a crab cake. I tried the seafood bisque as my appetizer. It was very good with a spicy kick. When they brought out the crab cake, they did not bring out the side of spinach that initially came with the salmon, we had to request it. After desserts were sorted out, we had a long wait for the individual checks, only for them to be incorrect and inconsistent with the gratuity. Some had 20-29% gratuity charges although the order subtotals were the same. We ordered at 3:50pm after waiting for everyone to arrive and look over the menu. We didn't leave until at 7:00pm due to long waits and check/card mix up. The overall experience was not worth the money or time spent.

The place is pretty with a nice bar area and the ambiance is nice with good lighting. We sat in one of the booths which was dirty but on the plus side love the privacy of them. To start the food took a long time to come which is always understandable and sometimes expected at fine dining, but was not worth the wait or price. First, the steak was said to be good, but the asparagus side was underwhelming with little to no seasoning/ butter. The lamb chops come with Alfredo pasta and was not seasoned and just not good. We had three orders of those so everybody can't be wrong. The shrimp and linguine pasta was dry with no sauce at all. On top of that the noodles were brittle and hard. I asked if we could have more sauce which helped a little bit. But i could not eat it because the noodles themselves were hard and dry and i did not want to send anything back because of the company i had. The presentation was pretty but the execution did not land. We also got espresso martinis and raspberry martinis and those were made well. For a place like this you just expect a little more pizazz and things to be on point! Especially at the price point they are at i expect everything to be tasty and saucy and flavorful and juicy. Can skip this one.

We arrived to the restaurant around ten minutes prior to our reservation, and quickly sat. We walk to a table- a booth that normally houses two tables pushed together, with around two inches between tables. We were practically sitting on top of the other two individuals sitting at the table. Forgot conversation- we heard everything they said, they heard everything we said, might as well have been on a double date. They weren't short of two top tables either- there were at least two, two top tables that sat empty our entire dining experience. Our server was on it throughout the night. The food was good to okay. We started with bread service. One piece of my bread was cold, and the other was warm. The honey miso butter was maybe a highlight of the whole meal. I started with a kale Caesar salad. Nice crunch to it, and an appropriate amount of dressing. My wife and I split two meals. The first- Coq Au Vin Pot pie. The meat was flavorful- but man, there is a lot of pastry when compared to meat. We got the braised short ribs. I wouldn't call the short ribs, short ribs- it was more of like a pot roast taste and consistency. There was a decent flavor, but nothing overtly amazing. Our cocktails were strong, but nothing to write home about. Overall, wouldn't be my first stop for a restaurant downtown, but if I was invited by someone else, I would most likely try it again.
