Love this place! Nice lunch deal includes app, entree and dessert for $20. Happy hours are a really great deal! Good food and service.

One of the best happy hours I've been to in a while! The prices were so good for the portions you received. My favorite was the chicken fried rice and hamburger. The rice tasted like Benihana, soft, flavorful and plenty of chicken. The burger was delicious too, it was crispy and I loved the special sauce they provided. Our waitress was very nice too! There was no wait when we arrived and the food came out quick. The restaurant was also very clean and spacious. I would come back here for a birthday, anniversary, girls night! I will say the root beer float was overpriced for what I received but I did enjoy it but $17 was like, wow.

While shopping we stopped to get some lunch and it was delicious. My son got the $8 kids Bento Box with 2 cheeseburger sliders, green beans, sweet potato fries and a orange shapes as a bear (cute). I got a Las Vegas Roll with salmon, crab salad and other ingredients. The atmosphere was a low light, low chatter ambiance. Our service was quick and our waiter checked on us, topped off my son lemonade also. He was on it.

Came late after a show due to their amazing happy hour. Our waitress told us that the food would come out so fast! It did not and to make it worse the sushi that was ordered didn't come out I with everyone else's food due to not printing. It was pretty quiet inside so we were wondering what was taking so long. When I asked about the sushi that's when we found out. It was fine, nothing spectacular except for the price. I'd come back and try something else. Best happy hour prices in the area and available after 6pm!

Popped in for lunch after taking a baking class at a nearby restaurant. We didn't have a reservation but was able to get in and seated right away. I come here a lot, it's a large enough restaurant that you can always get seated without a wait. Plenty of seats in the main dining room and in the bar. I like sitting in the bar area and people watching through the patio feel dining area. I got the angry edamame which is a favorite of mine. Along with that I got the cheeseburger sliders that were tasty and the fries were good too. They had a nice crisp with tender inside. Enjoyed the meal and will be happy to come back

Reservation was at 6:45. Finally sat down at 7:15. Restaurant was very loud. We struggled to carry on a conversation. Services did not even come see us until 7:30. Food was good but was over priced! My husband ordered a filet but is was more like a sirloin. Rest of the food was ok. Bathrooms were not clean. Felt like an overpriced AppleBees.

We came here over the weekend to celebrate my aunt's 75th birthday. Let me start by saying the food was great, but the service was a bit slow. The restaurant wasn't too busy at the time, and our table actually had two servers--one of whom seemed to be in training. Interestingly, the trainee felt more efficient than the veteran server. Both were very kind, but we often felt like our table was forgotten. We even had to get up a couple of times to check on our server. That said, the food definitely made up for it! I had the salmon with fried rice, which I highly recommend, and we started with the potstickers--also a solid choice. Drinks took awhile to get to us, but they were very good once we got them!!

My family and I chose Kona Grill to celebrate my aunt's 75th birthday yesterday. While the food and drinks were pretty good the service was lacking for most of the meal. It took 30 minutes for some people to get a drink at the bar, appetizers took just about as long and came out just before our food. 4 people at the table ordered the salmon dish pictured and all four by portion sizes were vastly different. The second half of our dinner I think the manager noticed our frustration and came over to assist the waiter and the young lady he was training which improved our experience. They made good on the salmon portion issue and added a drink on the house for the wait. The food was delicious and I would go back.

We come here every other month, it's become more hit-or-miss. This time we got stickers in our food?! Kind of spoils date night experience when you're not sure what else is lurking in your food, or if veggies are being washed(???)

After walking around keystone shopping mall, we were looking for somewhere to eat with less than an hour wait. After a short Google search, we easily made a reservation at Kona Grill. We were seated right away upon arrival. Kurt, our server greeted us immediately. One of our glasses was dirty, and he switched it out right away and filled our glasses with water. I ordered a watermelon margarita. A blue moon for the hubby. I have to admit I was a bit wary of the menu. American cuisine with sushi?! I saw a sushi bar and a regular bar. Something was off. But I decided to risk it. I was hungry and I love sushi. Our drinks arrived and they were great. We ordered-penne pasta with chicken for my daughter, burger with bacon, avocado and fries for the hubby, and the sushi plate for me (includes an Asian salad, roll (I got the spicy tuna), and 3 pieces of sushi (I picked two tuna, one salmon). We enjoyed our drinks and watched as the place got busier. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I was shocked. It looked delicious! All of it. Sushi, burger, pasta with bread. What is happening? It tasted as good as it looked. Kurt got us another round and kept our waters filled. He got busy with a few large tables, so we paid with the little device on the table. The prices are fair and not overpriced. Overall, I was pretty impressed that this place was able to do more than one cuisine in the same place. I'd come back in a second for the sushi and a burger too!

Luke was our server and he was super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We enjoyed being seated in his section! He described the Carrots appetizer as having a "100% success rate" which sounded hyperbolic but absolutely was not !! GET THE CARROTS! Even if you don't like cooked carrots (which I don't!) they are sooooo good and there's no other way to describe it. You just have to try it yourself. After the carrots, we thought it would be hard for the rest of the dishes to live up to that but our daily soup (always vegan) was so yummy! It was made with leeks/root vegetables and forbidden rice - absolutely delicious and very earthy! I was so pleased with just those two items, I could've stopped there and had a perfect experience. We both ordered the mapo tofu - and it was not like mapo tofu you'd get at a korean/chinese restaurant. It wasn't a saucy dish at all - in fact, it was intentionally dry - practically charred. It included rice cake which was interesting. I appreciated the charred/crispy texture with the chewy inside. I wouldn't order it again but if you like textured, spicy dishes you might enjoy it. Luke offered to get us something else but we were already full, so we declined. He also gave me a complimentary blueberry sorbet which was delicious and sooo fresh, and wished me a happy birthday! It was very delicious and necessary to rinse the palate. We had a great time and can't wait to come back when the patio opens up - we loved their mission to assist with providing job opportunities for autistic adults, too. It's a great restaurant with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere and phenomenal service.

We went for a 3:00 show on a Sunday such that by the time we got out, it was 6:00-still early. It was in the 30's outside and already dark (thanks DLS time). Yet as we reached the top of the stairs to the lobby I was immediately disappointed that there was no fire lit in the fireplace. There were only three parties in the place. One was around the corner in the adjoining sitting area and may or may not have been drinking. There were two couples at the bar, where we considered also sitting. But the only empty spot for two had two dirty drink glasses from a previous patron still sitting. So we opted for the leather couch and chair in the main area just across from the bar. And that's where we waited, and waited, for almost 30 minutes, before giving up on getting served (or acknowledged). There was only one bartender, so we were fine with going up to order but communication would have been helpful. We stood at the bar while she chatted with the two couples, who'd all been served. We couldn't really figure out what she was doing as she seemed busy-ish yet wasn't serving, or clearing, or washing, and we were chatting between ourselves and didn't really give it much thought. Then she said she was out of something and was leaving the bar to go fetch it. We asked her to let us know when she was ready to serve us, and we took our seats to resume our conversation. The bartender returned after a while, and she served one of the original couples ... for another 10 minutes at least. Again we were talking so, while an irritation, it was in the background. About 50 minutes into our visit, she came over and took our drink order. This was my third or fourth visit, and I'd ordered my drink, an old fashioned, before and knew what to expect: bourbon of choice, Luxardo cherry, and a dehydrated orange slice. Ten minutes later we got our drinks. Now mind you, my friend ordered a glass of wine. Nothing time consuming about that. She noted that her pour was smaller than the other times she'd been there. Mine came with the whisky cube already on its way to melted, a broken (a.k.a. piece of) cherry and a twist. What? Where's my glorious little crunchy orange wheel of goodness? I had spied them on the bar earlier. No soup for me! Also, and I can't be sure 100% sure of this, but I tasted neither bitters nor syrup. Was this really just a bourbon rocks? It took a minute but we realized this gal cannot tend and talk at the same time. My friend commented that she had no idea what will happen when the place gets busy, as it has been every other time I've been there. We left after 8:00, after one drink, and for me, $21 lighter. Yeah, it's pricey. And the Carmichael crowd is a discriminating one. So we expected better. Much, much better.
