Ive seen this restaurant when visiting Massage Heights and decided made a reservation for Saturday at 5:30 for a friend's birthday who wanted sushi. We were immediately greeted and when seated they had prepared a birthday card signed by staff which felt special. I loved the decor and the ambiance was nice with plenty of window lighting. They had such a variety of rolls and we loved all of our selections. The service was phenomenal and the price was very reasonable for 2 people.

Very cute sushi spot located right beside the Ironworks Hotel. Came in for lunch and wasn't busy at all. My waitress was very nice, working the bar as well but still attentive. My first time finding a ceviche I liked in a restaurant! Had so much flavor and even a light spice to it. Would definitely order again! My sushi was very fresh. I had the crunchy la roll which contained; avocado, cucumber crab mix and topped with panko bread crumbs and a sweet chili sauce. I spent around $17 for happy hour, not bad! I can't wait to try other menu items !

I was greeted when I walked in. Was immediately seated at the bar. I stopped in on Saturday with a few friends so decided to pop back in on Tuesday after work. They have a decent happy hour menu. I also love that they have multiple vegan sushi options. My goal is to try them all. My favorite so far is the eden roll. This time around, I subbed the edamame hummus for avocado while adding jalapeño and Sriracha which was a 10/10. I believe it was the manager that delivered my food and called me the new chef for coming up with a new recipe. I also tried the Thai hippie. I wasn't a fan. The restaurant was clean and vibey. The bathroom was also clean. I'm going to also post a video from Saturday. I forgot to check in.

One of my favorite sushi spots in the city! The service is always great and although I typically receive my food fast, it's always fresh. It's a chill spot but can get busy. They have Happy Hour all day on Sunday! I had the lion king roll and a sangria spritz and my bill was less than $20. That's my type of happy hour!

Went here for happy hour, and honestly, it's one of the best in the city in my opinion. The happy hour menu is extensive--lots of great options, including plenty of cooked sushi choices and even soups. If you're not a big sushi eater, you'll still find something you'll enjoy. The sushi we ordered was fresh and delicious. My only critique was that they forgot to bring ginger and wasabi with my rolls. When I asked, it took about 25 minutes to get it, even though it wasn't incredibly busy (this was during the lunch happy hour). That said, the rest of the service was good, and I really enjoyed their mocktails--super tasty and a nice alternative since we didn't order alcohol. Overall, Blue Sushi Sake Grill has a fantastic happy hour, fresh sushi, and great mocktails. Definitely worth visiting, especially if you love variety!

Blue Sushi consistently delivers top-tier cocktails, sake, and sushi selections. I risked it all and showed up with no reservations on a Tuesday at 6:30 PM and was able to be seated immediately. My friend and I opted to sit at the bar since we were primarily meeting for cocktails and wanted easy access to the bartender because, you know, priorities. There was one time on a Saturday night when a friend and I arrived at about 9 PM with no reservations on a Saturday, and the 45-min wait was a bit too much for us so we left that evening, but that was completely the fault of our own poor planning. The house margaritas were crisp, light, and refreshing. Definitely a perfect patio cocktail. We snacked on the spicy edamame that was the right amount of salty and not offensively spicy. That will definitely have to be my new go to starter there. Oh, and did I mention the most important part?!?? They have a freaking happy hour!!! 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and all day Sunday!! so you get access to a limited, but indulgence list of beers, cocktail, starters, sushi, and vegan options all at a discount!! And all day Sunday? Yes, please! He doesn't love fine dining on a deal? So grab a friend, play it safe and make a reservation, and carve out an hour or two to sit at Blue where you can converse with good company, drink all the drinks, and eat your weight and sushi.

Our all favorite place for sushi in Indianapolis! The food is wonderful and drinks outstanding. We always get the charred edamame and the shishito peppers to start along with either a Jalapeno Margarita (yum) or another fun drink. On to the sushi - we like to share family style so order a bunch of rolls - often the LA Roll, Cabo Roll, Lion Roll and Hot Popper. Everything we've enjoyed so far has been fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is fun - a little bit cool but still relaxing. And if the weather is nice, we'll hit the patio. All in all, this place has everything going for it (plus an amazing happy hour!).

Did I discover the best sushi bar in Indy? I don't know, but I think I did. And now I feel that I must begin a quest to answer this epic question. Call me Kiddo, because I may just have to make my own "Sushi List Five" and mark them off one by one. It may take some time, but I can be patient. Like revenge, sushi is a dish best served cold. I am starting a business and signed a lease on a new location, so it was time to celebrate. I was already in Nora and sushi sounded good. I had never been to Blue, but dang, I'm going to keep coming back! The location is great, being near Nora, Castleton and Keystone. They are located right inside Ironworks, but they have their own, independent entrance. It is a lovely restaurant consisting of Japanese themes with a modern twist. Enough decor to set the mood, but never overplaying their hand. I sat at the bar-bar so I could get in quickly. I will have to visit, again, and sit at the sushi bar. The dining room is also lovely and spacious with tall ceilings. It felt almost airy. The service was quick, and the bartender made me an old fashioned with rye. This drink was made the way an old fashioned is supposed to be made: muddled sugar and bourbon cherries and a really good spirit. Subtle, yet complex. It made me want to soak in the moment. I also had the Kokuto Whiskey, one of their house drinks. It was like an old fashioned with a little Japanese infusion. Good lord, was it yummy! Speaking of yummy, let's get down to business: the food. For one, this menu has enough options on it to satisfy the Crazy 88. For appetizer, I had the shishito peppers which are sautéed in this beautiful sauce. Delicious and not spicy. A small kick with tons of flavor. For the sushi: The Lion King, Thriller, and South Pacific. The Lion King has a fabulous chili aioli and the South Pacific comes to life with a small hit of pineapple. But that Thriller! I don't know what "creamy thriller sauce" is, but I'm glad I have experienced it in my life. The peppers and these rolls must have used the five point palm exploding heart technique on me, because I was in heaven! I can't wait to return to this wonderful sushi bar. You're my boy, Blue [Sushi]! (Ok, I may have strayed from my Kill Bill references but there was no way I was passing that one up!)

My first time here and I'm already plotting when my wallet will let me come back! It was my friend's birthday and we came as a party of 10 and I have to say, our waitress was phenomenal! Patient and gave wonderful suggestions. I was torn on what to order and after hearing I love raw fish especially tuna, she suggested the Cherry Bomb nigiri. It was so tasty and definitely had a kick to it if you like spice! The gekkeikan was perfect for a drink and lasted me all evening. My friend tried out the sake flights. She said previously she didn't like the taste of sake but ordered the partly cloudy flight and was super happy about it! My main roll of as the Tataki Maki and it was so good! Finished off the meal with the yuzu mochi and I was not disappointed! I know many places with mochi in Indy often use the kind straight out of the box and you can taste it. This whether or not it was out of the box...I couldn't tell because to me it tasted pretty fresh! I hope to come back here again. Thanks for making my first experience here wonderful!

This is your average sushi place, nothing special in my opinion. They did give complementary for the dessert, which is really nice, but overall felt like it was a little overpriced. I've also gotten them through Uber eats one time, and my Nigiri was completely destroyed, which was very disappointing. It's a really nice ambience on the inside and it was good service, but be prepared to pay a slightly overpriced amount for sushi.

I've driven by this place so many times and was super excited to finally give it a try. The weather was beautiful, so we sat outside where there was plenty of shade - a really comfortable setup for a relaxing meal. Our server was also great! We ordered the crab rangoon and three different sushi rolls. Everything we tried was excellent. The ingredients were fresh, the presentation was great, and the flavors were spot on. I'd absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for solid sushi and a great outdoor dining option.

No wait time. No wait time. My go to place for sushi. And now that there's a happy hour I'll try to get back more often.

Blue Sushi Sake Grill is a great date night, birthday, or girl's night out spot! This restaurant is slightly upscale, but I definitely would not call it fancy. One of my favorite parts of the interior is the sushi bar where you can see the fresh cuts of fish being prepared to make your sushi of choice. Want more bang for your buck? I highly recommend checking out their happy hour menu. Most days are from 2:30-6, but Sunday is all day long! My favorite dishes were the crunchy red roll and the mango crab rangoon (not pictured). The crab rangoons came with both a sweet mango sauce and a slightly spicy red sauce. Both of them mixed together with the creamy filling were perfection. I really loved the amount of both cooked and vegan/vegetarian options in the menu. The crunchy red roll was one of the not raw options with crab mix, shrimp, and avocado inside. The crispy beet colored panko gave a nice contrasting texture to the soft rice and fillings. I have seen complaints on previous posts about slow service, but that seemed to be mostly remedied for my visit. I already have my next reservation booked!

A mix of their lovely maki rolls and vegan rolls!
