    A couple of delicious rolls!
    Shekila S.

All I can say is "Yum"! Not a bad dish on the menu! Even the miso soup was delicious. My only complaint is the temperature by the windows in the restaurant. Winter is just bad in older homes which is understandable, but it impedes the experience. We froze! Service was great--nothing more, nothing less.

From a table in the back garden. So relaxing.

I'm adding yet another review since it has been so long. We were taking our car to Roush Mazda for service and decided a lunch at Chiba would be a great idea. I have had a rainbow roll other places so that's my choice today. RRR ordered shrimp avocado roll and a yellowtail scallion roll. All the sushi was wonderful. I took a few pieces of tuna off the top and ate it separately, SO melt in your mouth tender! Always 5 stars.

Great place for lunch and dinner! Outside seating as well as indoor. Yummy flavors and a huge variety of eats! Thank you for being in Westfield!

Gyoza - special request: deep fried! Tasted great!

Once we walked up the path, we entered magical patio gardens and felt like we were in another state! The server was so patient with our special request to deep fry the gyoza and it was decadent. Perfectly mixed Sex on the Beach cocktails with our coconut shrimp appetizer which came with crunchy rice noodles. Enjoyed an Andretti sushi roll for its fresh shrimp and crab, asparagus and just a touch of jalepeno. So good!

My partner and I went to Westfield over the weekend and found this place. It was super cute .. definitely cozy and casual vibes all over the place. We got seated in the outdoor eating area and I can see why it would be a cool place to go to for dining out. The service was very friendly - no complaints! We ordered salad, sushi and a chicken dish. I thought their sushi was good - comes a close second to sushi I've had at Blue Sushi located at Ironworks hotel in Keystone area. This was a nice find! Check them out for some e yummy food.

Chiba is good, the atmosphere and ambiance is what makes it special, that alone is worth the drive and difficulty parking. The food is good, but not my favorite Indiana sushi. But it is fresh!

Love Chiba with my whole heart. Of all the sushi places around, they are the most generous on the fish! We sat outside and listened to the live music. The service was friendly and helpful but not overbearing. We will continue to visit!

Soup special, sorry! Don't remember the name but Keith has taken years perfecting it and it's wonderful.

Food, service, atmosphere all wonderful! Keith was excellent and informative. Sushi was so creative and delicious. Soup special was phenomenal.

Where are the high top tables located? We are trying to make a reservation for outside but the only options are dining room or high top tables.

There are several buildings on the lot. The high tops are in the intimate bar setting in the back. If the weather is nice and you have a reservation, they should be able to seat you outside! You can always call ahead and ask about your spot.

    Why it's connected to Kona?

I don't think it is unless that is something new. They said their first restaurant and still current is in New Orleans.

Even though they were busy the wait was not very long and the host was so nice and I wish I could remember his name. Our server was so nice and kind and made great recommendations. I had the mocktail Nohito and it was sooo cute and delicious! The others had cocktails and a bottle of coke (yes glass bottle)- cute right?! Now we had the Karange tofu and I need that recipe! The crispiest most flavorful tofu outside and nice and soft inside. Couldn't tell it wasn't chicken! We also had oysters. For dinner I had the Katsu Curry and it was on point! And the leftovers were just as delicious. My sister had the Tantanmen and it was sooo good!! I could drink that broth. They do give you options for rice instead of noodles and broth if you like options. We also shared the Glazed tofu and yall it will change your LIFE!!! Cute monkeys hanging out everywhere with beautiful string lights and a classy understated tiki vibe. Please go here if you haven't yet. You'll thank me later

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.

However there was so much food with the KBbq that we were actually disappointed that we wasted stomach space on the hot bar (eventhough the food was good!). The hot pot was great & the broth had such great flavor. The KBbq was amazing! We really loved all the different cuts of meat for the grill! The short ribs were a fav & there's more than enough food for the table so everyone leaves more than full! It's also great that eventhough this place is busy & set up well for groups, it's not overly loud so you can still carry on a normal volume level conversation with others at your table! Then you choose your meat and broth type and head to the never ending salad and veggie area. It has veggies, noodles, sauces, toppings and more! The waiter tells you em several times it is all you can eat, thus the higher price point. Make sure to note too though that if you order a lot more than you eat you will get charged a few for leftovers. They want to curb food waste which is commendable. I suggest starting small and then building as for sure you get full rather quickly! My favorite aspect was the sauce area where they listed sauce combos the recommend. It helped me a lot to have some guidance and I liked the sauce I chose from their list. A fun interactive experience and good for groups. It is loud and smelly as you are basically sitting inside a large kitchen. But a fun experience and yummy food so worth a visit!

Upon closer inspection, it hit me that I took the pic because I wanted to explicitly call out its awesomeness in this review. It is chalk full of dishes that sound like they came out of my dreams. Here are a couple noteworthy examples: 5280 PB & J - ok, this one didn't come out of my dreams, because I don't eat pork, but literally, if I discovered this two years ago before I went semi-kosher, I would be all over it. Roast pork loin, pepper bacon, fig & plum jam on a pretzel bun?! Yes, I did just rewrite the menu for you, but it should be shared with the world. Mr. Potato Head and Cheese - I once wrote has there ever been a match made in heaven that beats truffle and French fries? The answer is now yes, truffles and tater tots. This dish also includes grated parmesan and chopped garlic. Every other dish sounds as good as these, but I'm going to have to let you read the menu yourself. We ended up getting 4 Real Kettle Chips. I was not hungry. I had a ginormous omelet for lunch and I was still having problems buttoning my pants. Yet, once I saw these gorgeous kettle chips, I had to try some. And by some I mean I ate way more than my fair share (I wasn't even the person who bought them). They are generously topped with parmesan and at $4 its an absolute steal. Everything else on the menu is between $7 and $10, which is such a great deal for the quality of this food. We ran into the food truck outside Bier Brewery. Since this was the first brewery we stopped at during our Indy Brew Bus tour, I'm confident in saying I was still sober enough to truly appreciate the food. The owner of the bus is super friendly. I could tell he cared about providing great dishes. This continues my theme of reviews where I'm basically commanding everyone to support local! Main dining space has a combination of booths and tables of larger and smaller sizes. There is a fish tank behind the bar and maybe in the main room as well. Our table was between the bar and a small booth as well as near the entrance to the kitchen & bathrooms, so there was a decent bit of traffic through our congested area. Our server, Darrell, was AWESOME. He was personable, professional, and knowledgeable of the restaurant's history and menu. I used the information he shared to guide my order and was grateful for doing so. Wife ordered the special shrimp bowl ($21), which was packed with flavor. I chose the Ono ($32), which was a firm, meaty fish with a parmesan crust and chose the clam chowder and sweet potato fries for my sides. I really enjoyed the fish, which was huge and I brought half of it home. The chowder was excellent and the fries were crispy (uncommon for sweet potato fries) but not overdone. All of our food arrived promptly. They also provided a fresh loaf of sourdough bread to go with our meals, which was tasty. Would return based on service and flavor. Would probably prefer a booth to not be constantly walked around. Price point will probably prohibit our ability to return with any frequency.
