Pulling in we saw George's restaurant that used to be on 71st, been years so we decided to give them a try instead. Waited at the front desk for 10 minutes and there's a couple in front of us that had been waiting longer than us. We left, they left. Poor performance from George's which led us back to Asian Bistro and Chin. Excellent visit, excellent food. Tried their calamari, wings (teriyaki and Parmesan) egg drop soup and Gen Tso's Chicken. As I am about to travel for the holiday I don't have much to cook, so I stopped in again but for dinner and it was great, I had delicious miso soup, a rainbow roll, and then some sashimi that I said, surprise me, and it was fresh and tasty! I'd stopped by Asian Bistro not long after they opened to pick up one of their menus. I found them to be friendly and welcoming, however, I'll also be honest and say when I get into this strip center I'm usually headed toward the adjacent George's Neighborhood Grill. Today, Christmas Day, the plan was entirely different. I was hoping Asian Bistro would be open given the limited options and decided to check here first. Gratefully, they were open. This is a relatively small, well-decorated strip-center restaurant located at 71st and Binford. There's a double entryway. As you enter, there's rows of half-booths on both sides along with a center aisle primarily made up of two-seat tables. If you're picking up food, you head toward the back. Asian Bistro serves up, you guessed it, Asian options including Japanese, sushi, sashimi, and some Thai options. They carry Coke products for drinks along with Gold Peak Iced Tea. I opted for sweet-and-sour chicken along with fried rice and my usual unsweetened iced tea. The wait wasn't too long. The serving size was surprisingly plentiful. Service was strong. This family operation had around four folks in-house. I got a wonderfully warm vibe here. I got the sense you could really become a "regular." Some folks were just starting to arrive as I left - you could tell they were familiar and they were treated like they were familiar. It was delightful to see, especially on a day of the year when some folks really need that connection. I was tended to regularly. I got my always desired drink refill and was honestly a bit surprised to get an offer of one to go. It was a nice touch. The food was good, though the chicken was maybe a bit crispier in spots than I'd prefer. However, I'd easily order it again. The menu wasn't quite as expansive as some, however, I definitely loved what I ordered. I wasn't expecting it to feel so warm and welcoming inside. the dark wood half-booths are warm. There was light Christmas music playing and an ambiance that really worked. It's not luxurious, but it was much nicer than I expected. Good food. Great hospitality. A welcoming atmosphere. I have zero clue why there are lower ratings on this restaurant. We went over on a Saturday night to get some carry out and I truly can't say enough good things about this little restaurant. It would be great for a week night dinner out too. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was absolute incredible. I wasn't sure what to order and they suggested the the Thai Basil Chicken. It was fabulous! We also did an order of General Tso's and chose the fried rice as a side - it was some of the best fried rice we have ever had. Tasted so, so fresh! We also added a spicy tuna roll just to see how the sushi tasted and it was good, not out of this world but solid. My oldest son doesn't love Chinese so I was very happy to see a fried fish sandwich option on the menu. He said it was excellent (and he is hard to please)! What blew me away was the price. Not sure why, but they gave me a discount. All in, it was $45 for all of us to eat and we have SO much leftover. We will definitely be able to get another full meal out of this another night. When we go to Chick-fil-a these days, for all 4 of us to eat, it is usually $50 and no leftovers. We feel like it was a total win trying Asian Bistro and are going to put this in our regular rotation! Great little restaurant for the area! read more

We've been loving this spot for takeout because their menu is huge! No more debating against sushi or Thai food because we can get both. I love doing the sushi bento box. It is a great deal, but also get the yummy sides. We always have leftovers with pad Thai. Plenty of parking for quick easy pickup too! read more

I went there for the first time tonight. The service is wonderful. The owner/waitress was great. She has a wonderful personality. The spring rolls were magnificent. Very light with a great taste. My dinner guest had the pineapple chicken fried rice and they were happy. I ordered the coconut shrimp. They were lightly fried with a lobster sauce, along with broccoli. Shrimp were very large and more than enough. one of the girls wanted my meal. I can't wait to go back to Asian Bistro. read more

It's great to have a sit down Asian restaurant in this area. The lunch bento box portions we received were generous, starting with soup or salad and both served with a crab Rangoon and spring roll. My partner's spicy basil chicken was delicious and served with fried rice. My rainbow roll tasted very fresh but started to fall apart a little when I ate it. All of my items were very flavorful, but my spring roll was a little doughy in the middle and the gyoza could have been a little warmer. That is the only reason I rated as a 4 and not a 5 and will certainly not stop me from coming back. read more

My family and I went, on what ended up being their soft opening first day, in the middle of a snowstorm, we had been waiting for this restaurant to open for some time ,I knew when I saw the open sign today was the day. It didn't disappoint. The decor is modern and relaxing, the customer service we received is almost extinct, helpful, cheerful and nice. They were very accommodating to my daughters Gluten and Dairy allergy. My daughter ordered the Pad Thia, she said it was one of the best she has had, and she has had a lot of Pad Thia, the spice level was perfect for her, they bring out the spicy sauce and you can add the amount you want, My son ordered the sushi dinner bento box- He raved about how good everything was, from the salad, to the Spring Roll, Crab Rangoon, Gyoza and the Dynamite Roll, He said this is his new place for sushi. I ordered the hibachi shrimp with fried rice. The vegetables and rice were so flavorful. For me, the portion size was enough for two meals, unfortunately for me, my son ate my takeaway later that night. We are so excited to have such a great Asian restaurant option so close to home.
