Okay, so I'm kind of a crab rangoon snob, I'd say Masa's were just OK. They were filled with too much cream IMO, but better than ordering say from Panda Express. Sushi was good I tried the Panda roll, and I would get again! Service was OK, nothing wrong just also nothing notably amazing. Ambiance is nice, would love to sit at the bar! read more

Really great spot, staff was always nice. We were seated in the tables area, not at the hibachi grill. The decor was mainly red, with black and white paper lanterns. Also there was a coy pond with a couple fish swimming around. Drinks were refilled quickly, and for their not many people dining it, it took time for wait staff to come near to check on our table. We came for happy hour and their was a special menu. Specials on sushi and certain cocktails. I got the hibachi chicken and it was a great proportion size. Easily two people could share it. First of all I must say the ambiance was very nice. I love the decor and lighting. I was excited to come here as there was a lot of hype surrounding this place especially the happy hour. Came here with my sisters and we were excited at first but then it slowly kind of went down hill. First off our server was fine but then I guess they had shift change and he left and we had other people. So that was a bit confusing. We didn't have enough place settings. Only 1 for 3 of us. That one had a dirty napkin. *attention to detail* had to ask twice for enough chopsticks for us. Ordered the Kani salad which came with Masago, which was not listed on the menu. It was fine. The crab Rangoon was fine but the sauce was very watered down. My fav was the fantasy island of the specialty plates. That was very good n unique. The combo rice was good but needed more flavor/spice. It always amazes me when Asian restaurants don't have a chili garlic sauce as a condiment. I asked for some spice and they said they only have Sriracha. It was a good portion size and lots of meat and veggies. Oh and the California roll also came with Masago. This was different and not mentioned. It seems they put Masago on a lot of things that say cooked. Had to ask for none. Don't think we'll be back but it was nice to go once. Food was quick to Land On the table but the chef was a little too heavy handed on the salt this go round. I asked for teriyaki instead of yum yum sauce and it never made it to the table. Asked for a clean fork as ALL forks at the table were filthy and never got one so asked for plastic forks and it took too long so had to ask a different server for plastic forks that were less than 20 steps from our table. Service started out great and then our server disappeared after the food arrived. The drink refills came after we were done eating and she didn't stand long enough at table side to get our to-go containers request. One of the members at the table asked her where she's been and she said sorry I've been at other tables. So disappointing. read more

We ate here two weekends in a row. Both occasions were to celebrate birthdays. This place has a welcoming, well decorated atmosphere. The staff showed great hospitality to our party of 30+ people. Came here for a kid's birthday - party of five! We were seated right away, but we got there before the dinner rush. We ordered dumplings, sushi and hibachi and everyone enjoyed the food. Our hibachi grill master, as I'll call him, was amazing. He was very attentive, funny and put on a great show. The food was delicious and he was engaging with/joking with the kids. All in all it was a great experience. Our server was also really attentive and made sure to check in to see if anyone needed anything else. They came out and sang happy birthday and provided a "cake" with a candle. The cake set up was an orange and then pineapple like boat. I love it. Fruit is always a hit! Hands down the best sushi/ hibachi I've ever had. I've been here 3 times in the last couple months and keep going back for more. The first time we went was for my bday. Made reservations for the full hibachi experience and it was wonderful. The cook was very personable and entertaining. The food was amazing I got the shrimp, chicken, and steak hibachi and it was seasoned to the tea. My husband had the lobster hibachi and he said it was the best lobster he's ever had. I got the mango roll which was huge ! I probably ate 3 pieces and took the rest too go the roll was so big. The ambience is amazing and decorated nicely. Extremely clean and the staff is amazing as well. Very accommodating. I got a Hennessy lemon drop ! Super good. They also have a kids meals. I got chicken nuggets and fries for my boys and to my surprise it came with fruit which was great. For my bday I spent any $200 and it was worth it. I decided to get carry out the next day it was so good. We did the lobster hibachi and California rolls and split it since it's so much food. Spent $53 and it still came with soup and salad. Even carry out was good. In recently went back for a day date with hubby and we were able to experience the lunch menu. I did the chicken hibachi with come with soup or salad. For lunch lobster is not an option which is no big deal but baby it is good! I would pay the up charge. I tried the yellow tail sushi which was okay. We had the California roll which was bomb and so fresh and the crab ragoons. The crab ragoons come with a red dipping sauce that only enhanced the flavor. This time we sat at the booth and I enjoyed the intimate space for us. This place NEVER disappoints. We paid $90 and of course I had a D'usse lemon drop and hubby had a double shot of D'usse they brought out two shots but that was so problem either. Okay let me start off this place before they switched owners and names used to be one of my favorite sushi spots but when they closed over three years ago I stopped going. I recently moved up here and discovered a new sushi place has opened up I was definitely excited as this used to be my favorite spot and was hoping to see if the sushi was the same or similar and guess what ?! It is!!.. or almost better in my opinion. When you walk in you are immediately transported in what I would assume a little spot in Japan would look like they have a koi fish pond and everything is decorated beautifully. I ordered take out as I live two minutes away and wanted to eat at home that night. The guys at the front were so nice and helpful, and patient as I wanted to look over everything on the menu and told us that they have been open almost three years why haven't I been here yet? The fish was fresh and reminded me of the sushi I got in Vegas (there the fish was so fresh and the rice was more seasoned) the quality was up there at masa! I couldn't believe it because since I've been back from vacation I've been disappointed with the quality here, I mean I get it we are in Indiana lol the rice was the perfect amount not real thick like some other places they also season the rice and roll in sesame seeds yum! The fish pieces were huge and not fishy or weird texture. FRESH again yum! They are also efficient I put in my order and it was out in less than 10 minutes although I did go on a Tuesday what I would seem as an off night and the weather wasn't the greatest so that might factor in why it was so fast but I will definitely be back with how friendly and helpful the staff was and most importantly how great the sushi is read more

This a new sushi place in Fishers on 86th and we got an opportunity to check it out . We did make a reservation as it was a Friday night but you can also do walk ins . The ambiance is nice and you can choose to sit in the booth or by the Hibachi section . We sat at the booth but would like to try hibachi next week ! For appetizers we ordered the crab rangoons . Between the two of us we ordered the BMW spicy roll and a spider roll along with a salmon nigiri . We definitely liked the spicy B.M.W roll because it was sweet and spicy at the same time which had spicy tuna , cucumber , avocado and wasabi mayo was a surprise but I enjoyed that . The cooked spider roll was ok as it had soft shell crab , masago and eel sauce. It wasn't our favorite . Next time we will try some other rolls '! Overall it's a good place and reasonable . This was our first time dining here. The service was great, the sushi was off the charts delicious. Miso soup was hot and had great flavor. The sushi rolls were just perfection, I have never had better. My boyfriend had hibachi filet (not pictured) and it was delicious as well, steak cooked perfectly, so tender. The place was perfectly clean, not too crowded on a Friday night, we were seated right away, and service was very quick. To start this off.. there are other hibachi restaurants in the city whose customer service sucks but their food is really good. This place has both good food and good customer service. When we came in the host was very friendly and even though we had less people than our reservation showed she handled it like a champ and said no problem at all! When we were sat a friendly waiter came out and got our drinks and shortly after our food orders! Drinks and appetizers came out promptly and tasted very good! I ordered the gyoza and a special sushi roll. Then our hibachi chef , (DD) as he calls himself, came out and instantly treated the birthday boy with incredible energy! He constantly made him feel good and made him the center of attention for the table! He was hands down the best hibachi chef I've ever had! WOW! WOW! WOW! Me & my honey have been trying local hibachi spots this year. A few weeks ago we visited Masa Sake and I was so blown away; I decided to calm down before writing a review. We stopped in one afternoon and learned hibachi began at 4:30 pm. The restaurant is a new building, sleek, contemporary design and very inviting. A few weeks later, we stopped by on a Friday night just after 5:30 pm and the hibachi grills were buzzing with people. We were seated at the end of a hibachi table with 8 diners and once our decuple was complete; the experience began. One couple was celebrating a birthday and the celebratory drum birthday at Masa Sake was loud, raucous and fun. The chef made a perfect arc of sake into the birthday girl's open mouth providing a birthday experience she won't soon forget! Masa Sake is the most expensive of our 4 hibachi adventures to date, however, it earns 5 stars! We found value in the delicious food, the festive atmosphere and attentive service. read more

We ordered three sushi rolls, two as an appetizer and one for one of our dinners. The chef came out and did his thing and still no appetizers. I asked the waiter and he said they're busy. We all got our hibachi while one of our guests sat there was nothing to eat. The fried rice was undercooked and the chicken was overcooked. It was tough and dry. Totally inedible! I told the waiter and he looked at me like I had two heads. He said they'd remake it and I was in the middle of telling him I don't want it remade and he took off. I finally caught him and he said they're remaking it. I told him no, thanks, and please cancel. We spent $145 and left hungry because I could only eat the salad and soup and a couple veggies. This place is NOW OPEN on the north side of Indy by the Castleton Mall and it is Superb!!!! By far the nicest, cleanest, friendliest and most modern HIBACHI style restaurant I've been in the state! The service is top notch, super attentive staff and the chefs of course make the meal fun and upbeat the entire time. From sake Shots to shooting flames off the grill it was spectacular. The chefs are funny and cook the food here very well. We both got the hibachi combo options with also come with fried rice , vegetables a side salad and soup. I chose the filet mignon and scallops and he got the lobster tail & scallops. It was all so tasty, from the salad dressing to the hibachi style entrees, DELICIOUS! I had an amazing time at Masa Grill. The restaurant is pretty decent in size and modern. We waited about 10 mins before being seated which is understandable due to it being graduation season. Our cook was pleasant although he didn't introduce himself. Overall, the food was great, we ordered chicken and steak hibachi and my guest ordered a Philadelphia roll as well.
