The best part she has pictures of her previous cakes so you can get a glimpse of her talent. The cupcakes I ordered were fine. The website is not helpful and if you call they are also not helpful over the phone, directing you back to the website. Also, I ordered gender reveal cupcakes and when e went to pick them up, the surprised was ruined as it said the exact order in the receipt! :( read more

I don't even know where to begin. We arrived late as they were closing and needed a few cupcakes for my son's fourth birthday. We weren't aware of the new hours of operation due to covid-19 and the owner was locking up for the day. She didn't have to help us out, but she did. It's 3:10pm. They were closing the door as I just pulled up to the front. I stepped out to ask if they were closed and the lady said yes and got her car to leave. They're suppose to close at 4:00pm. I have been ordering my cakes from here for about two years. I've order birthday cakes, gender reveal, baby shower, and even graduation cakes. They always turn out beautifully decorated, just like the picture I send them. Most importantly, they taste great. Our favorite one has been an almond with strawberry mouse filling. I really appreciate their delivery option. The first time I ordered from them I was very scared of breaking it apart or dropping it. My mom is obsessed with cupcakes and we've been to every local bakery there is. This place is her favorite! We shared chocolate and lemon poppyseed cupcakes. The cupcakes are moist and delicious. They are not overly sweet or stacked with a giant pile of icing. The flavors have actual FLAVOR and don't just taste like sugar. Yum! read more

Overall poor customer service. Initial impressions were positive - responsive and accommodating. We ordered 48 custom cupcakes for an important event/party for my sons. Their swim team celebrates seniors committing to colleges (Letter of Intent signing). The event for six swimmers was scheduled for 8AM on a Saturday morning. Initial plans were for me to pick up the cupcakes Friday afternoon. Sugar Shaker contacted me via e-mail that Friday to ask if they could instead deliver Saturday morning. I was reassured via e-mail the cupcakes would be delivered to the swim center by 7:45. I was waiting out front...no sign of them by 7:50 so I called. No answer. Called again a few minutes later - no answer. At 8AM, when the celebration started, I was still outside waiting. Someone answered finally answered the phone at 8:05 and stated they were on their way & ~5 minutes out. Finally arrived ~8:15; deliverer apologized and said Sugar Shaker would issue a credit to my card as consideration for being late. I then had to interrupt the festivities with the late-arriving cupcakes while missing out on ~25% of the memories. I've since called and e-mailed asking about the credit. They've only answered the phone once (stated a credit was forthcoming). They've never responded to my e-mail inquiries. It's been a month. Never doing business with them again -and- will warn anyone asking for referrals to avoid Sugar Shaker Bakery. read more

These ladies can bake a mean cake! Not only are the flavors always spot on, but the look of their cakes are just spectacular! My son had an amazing 9th birthday with a 3d Xbox one controller cake that looked real! My husband also had a beautiful billiards inspired cake baked by this wonderful bakery. We've had a niece love her diva inspired birthday cake. We even have friends that had their groom's cake baked by these creative ladies! Thank you Sugar Shakers! This is my very first bad review, sadly, but I have to share it. Saturday 11/21 I ordered two pies online and was so thrilled to see they had Thursday, Thanksgiving, pick up hours! I chose the 2:30PM pick up time via their on line ordering tool for Thursday, 11/26 and received a receipt confirming that. On Wednesday, 11/25, I get a call at 3:30PM verifying that I was not coming to get the pies today. I agree, I wanted them Thursday like it says on my receipt. The woman on the line says they are not open Thursday and I have 30 mins to get there or I need to come Friday. I explained I am a single mom and am waiting for a package to arrive that needs my signature and drivers license and I can't just leave or I'll not receive something I've paid for. She had no remorse whatsoever. I called family and friends in the area asking who could help me and my best friend, who works in Round Rock, left work early to rush to Leander to get the pies. I called the bakery back saying she will be there as soon as they can and they said they would only wait 30 minutes or refund me. They said they sent an email out Sunday saying they weren't open Thursday. I received no email. I was shocked at the lack of remorse around the stress they caused me and all the people I called to get help. When my girl friend got there to get the pies, they tried to give her Pecan and Apple. My friend noted that doesn't sound like what I would order and they double checked to finally give her pumpkin and apple. I will never get pies from there again. Zero customer satisfaction and zero attention to detail. If the bakery called me at noon vs. 3:30PM, I would have gladly picked up those pies with a smile. read more

I bought a Baby Shower Cake on 10/20/18 from Angie and her Team, I emailed her a picture and the she delivered a perfect cake. It was beautiful, but the cake tasting AMAZING!!! I have sent my friends and anyone who wants an excellent cake To Sugar Shaker!!!! The best bakery in Austin. I went to 7 bakeries to taste their cakes but hands down Angie is Awesome and I love her Customer Service and her team is amazing. I ordered my anniversary from her and my friend ordered a wedding cake, and I just told my friend to order a birthday cake. I love Sugar Shaker!!!! read more

This past weekend we had a wonderful baby shower and the lion cake from Sugar Shaker Bakery was just spectacular! Not only was it too cute to even want to cut, when we finally went for it we were delighted with the amazing moist cake and just right whipped frosting.
