Hands down, the most unique sub shop in the Dallas area. I've been meaning to write a view about this place (and the owners Jami and Suzie) for years. I go there for a sandwich 1-2 times/week and love it. Couple highlights: - Jami and Suzie will know your names by your 3rd time in the restaurant. It truly is incredible, not sure how they do it. - Their menu is HUGE and you can have any type of sandwich you want - traditional subs, hot subs, salads and wraps are all available, but Jami specializes in his Mediterranean flavors, so don't be afraid to try something unique. - The Special is always on point, and a little spicy. It's always grilled chicken, marinated in one of Jami's 99+ homemade sauces on a specialty bread that you can't get on any other sandwiches. 95% of the time, I order the special and am always satisfied. Words to the wise: - It gets crowded around between 11:30 - 1. Jami gets in the zone (he takes the orders and slices the meat himself) and will want you to tell him your order (loudly) across the line. - He will ALWAYS ask 'How are you' before you order and won't let you order until you tell him. - Lastly, this isn't a quick fast food place. You will likely have to wait a bit, and it's not fancy or tricked out in any way. It's simply a family-owned business and the owners love what they do. Great sub shop. Yes, the owner is excited about his store and will happily tell you about what he has to offer. Not sure why people get upset about that on the yelp reviews. He's very kind and his sandwiches are great. The chip selection is awesome too! You can get a half sub (8 inches or so), chips, and drink for like $7 which seems pretty reasonable for the area. Best place to get a sub in the DFW metroplex. People complaining about the refusal to make a sandwich need to understand that they cut their meats and cheeses fresh, and the sandwich they refuse to make has 9 meats and 4 cheeses. They only refuse to make it during the lunch rush, so call it in 45 minutes before and go pick it up. I've always gotten a great sandwich and polite service. Highly recommend. read more

Delicious sandwiches with meat cut when you order your sandwich & fresh baked rolls. We took 5 kids & 3 adults & everyone found something yummy. Every kid in our group agreed this was WAY better than Subway! Prices are very fair. What sets this shop apart is the owners. You are greeted by name if you've been there before, & they say goodbye to you by name as well (we were first-timers & they remembered all our names to say goodbye!). The owners came out & talked to the kids, & you can just tell they take pride in their restauraunt & want everyone to have a great experience & yummy food. The menu is huge, with every option you can think of. There's a stretch of condiments that spans a counter! Free fountain drink refills. Was visiting a friend in the area and just happened upon this GEM of a place. As you can see from the other reviews the staff is amazing. I can not remember the last time I stepped foot in ANY place of business and been treated so nicely and friendly. This is clearly their thing. FOOD: Mine was very very good but I messed up. After I ordered from the HUGE menu, I noticed regulars were letting the guy just make up something new for them. They were treated to a "chiefs special" that looked amazing. I seriously can not say enough about this place. I honestly do not Yelp much at all so for me to go out of my selfish way must be saying alot!! I had just arrived at the OMNI across the street when I needed some food, so I hopped across the street, expecting something along the SUBWAY variety... Was I wrong! They offer every type of sandwich imaginable! So which to choose? As someone who travels back and forth to Germany quite often, I thought I would give Subz N Stuff a real test by ordering my favorite sandwich in the world: the Döner Kebab. Service was surprisingly fast and out came my Döner. While the beef/lamb meat mixture was delicious, the cut of the meat was quite different than those of us who are accustomed to your average Döner from a Turkish Schnellimbiss; the meat was chopped and not sliced in thick pieces. Otherwise, taste was spot on! Another HUGE added plus for me is that Subz N Stuff creates its own blend of home-made hot sauces! (More flavor enhancer than hot sauce.) Each of them is phenomenal. In fact, if you get there too late, the sauce bar might be empty. Not just the sauces, you can trust all of the ingredients they use: no preservatives, Halal meat, etc. And while the food is fantastic, it's only 75% of the experience. The owner is quite simply the nicest, most personal shop owner you've met in decades! When he can, he opens the door for customers. Even better, if you order from him once, he'll remember your name and preferred sandwich(es) for life! No joke! He works hard but he loves what he does, so it doesn't feel like work to him. Subway is a place filled with unexcited employees and cross contamination with old breads and same old meats with nothing but plain old sandwiches in a long bread. Preamble: Regarding the prior review(s) condemning the bold demeanor of the owners, specifically the "yelling out to the customers exiting while you're ordering," dont fight it. Embrace it. I did have such an experience. But if you can't keep up with a loud, but friendly environment, you should stick to calling in for delivery to your knitting congregation. Ok? That being said: I always look forward to hopping on the plane from NYC to Texas every year on business; one main (overwhelming) reason is the food. All I needed was a good lunch spot. Nothing too fancy, and it had to be quick, but not NY quick; I didn't want to swallow my food whole and fly back to the office with my face covered in sauce, but I also didn't want to sit until my rear was numb and my eyes were drooping. A recommendation from a credible local, some rationalizing that "I can get superior subs in NY, but I'll try it anyway because my source has not steered me wrong thus far", and I was off to Subs N Stuff. I'm coming off a brief but hardy smokehouse pit BBQ binge already this week, so a sub sounds pretty dang good at this point. The menu was in tiny italics. My eyes are shot from staring at a laptop already for five and a half hours. My colleagues are groaning that they can't read it. Well it becomes apparent within seconds why the illegible menu doesn't really matter at all. Everyone in there is a loyal regular local and the owners, who were also the sole operators, already knew what every single person waiting in line was going to order before they even spoke. Awesome, but I'm from far out of town, I need a minute! No worries. I ask the pleasant lady behind the counter for the first appealing menu item that my eyes find upon closer inspection: the malibu. She is beaming, "that's my favorite one!" Good choice, so far. I didn't mind waiting for it now, and it wasn't that bad of a wait, either. Good prep takes time and effort, and I'd rather have a fresh lunch than one off an assembly line. I ordered a half portion, so as not to fall aslumber at the laptop during my afternoon marathon in the trenches. What a delicious sandwich. The sauce, chicken and ham, with all the fixin's, between two fresh whole wheat sub handles, blended delightfully well. Took me a little while to pound this one down, and I'm a fast eater. It was hefty. Advice: Skip the full sized and the double decker subs, which sound to me like overkill. They seem unnecessary, unless you're coming off a 3 day starvation diet, hanging on the edge of consciousness for need of a few thousand calories in one sitting. The owner came by to chat and make sure our meals were delicious. You see, I'd describe myself as an above-average P.I. (humility filter deactivated) when it comes to sniffing out "fake, over the top hospitality designed to fool you into thinking it's geniune in order to advance the business and differentiate said business from the competition" approaches. No such attitudes here. Just genuine concern for their customers, passion for the proprietor - customer interaction, and unusually diligent effort in making a quality sandwich. These people love their products and honestly hope you did too. I left extremely impressed and full. I will be back this year, next, and as many times that I can make it to Dallas in the future. His mother taught him the skills to build a great customer base by providing outstanding service - he'll tell you how she did it. And the subs themselves are delicious. One of the keys to a great sandwich is the fresh bread. Some shops say they bake the bread in house, but the truth is they are starting with dough made some time ago that has been frozen, then baked in the store! That's not really fresh bread. This shop gets the bread fresh each day from some place local, and then focuses on adding quality items for inside the sandwich along with house-made, organic dressings and sauces. Overall, the business is a recipe for success! It's no wonder that Subway across the street went out of business - you just cannot compete with the personal service and quality food owner, Jami provides! read more

I've been to this excellent place about a dozen times or so. Do you remember the good ol' days when you could get a stamp for buying a record or a sub sandwich? These guys have the stamps! I brought in a filled up stamp card and they said "pick anything on the menu, boss." Everything I have ordered tasted great and was made quickly. Sometimes they have a line out of the door because people cannot get enough of their flavorable enticements. Jami and Suzi are really personable and friendly. They even take the time to try to get to know a little about you. There have been small issues, such as not being able to get through on the phone to order ahead of time but this is probably because they are so busy during a rush of customers ready to gourge themselves on such a delectable variety of sandwiches. Another small thing, I asked for the 'wich to not to be toasted but it was toasted anyways. This was only so I could carry it out and enjoy it later without it steaming up the bag. Minor inconvenience because I am sure that had I enjoyed it right on the spot, it would have made me salivate with a smile. I wanted to go to the Indian buffet next door, but they were not ready yet despite it being well after their posted opening time, so just dropped into this place. I have eaten sandwiches all across the globe, and this one was pretty much top 2 or 3, I really mean it. Huge selection of chips and sauces too which was a nice touch. I am, to be honest, perplexed why it was so good - its just bread, meat, cheese, and some basic veggies...there is something about it. They remember all their regulars by name and are very friendly - I work across the freeway so can't walk there to get my food like a lot of other folks, but I've decided I'll make the special drive just to eat at this place. This is one of my favorite zabihah places in dallas. all their sandwiches/subs are amazing! A couple of things to note: 1. Since this place is located adjacent to a corporate office building, it's always packed and parking can be a bit difficult to find (if i am not mistaken, there is a parking garage where you can park for free in. other wise you have to parallel). 2.This place is generally busy all the time, except during holidays. i always call my order in, otherwise i have to wait up to an hour to get my food. Also because they are so busy, i would recommend calling in your order BEFORE 10AM or AFTER 1:30 pm. Also be sure to ask for the zabihah menu as they have a regular menu. 3. The owner is a super enthusiastic guy. He can rub you off the wrong way if you are not careful. 4. The food is pricy so i think this place is worth coming to once in a while. 5. I have been working right down the street for 2 years and just checked out Subz N Stuff. The first time I went in it was crazy busy. My order was taken immediately and I was served quickly. I ordered the #1 which is great by the way! I went back a few days later and tried another item on the menu which was also great. I met the owner Jaami. He is great! The food is good but don't go in to subz n stuff expecting to get the sandwich you have your heart set on. If you ask for a maverick (or another larger sandwich) the owner and his wife will yell at you because they take a long time to make. If you have twenty minutes to wait, they'll say it takes forty to make, if you have an hour it will take two hours. I ddon't think they ever actually make those sandwiches, they're just a bait and switch. Might as well just go to subway. read more

I've been a frequent customer for several months. I became a fan from day one when I met the owner Jamie, who knows more about maintaining freshness and quality in his ingredients than most restaurant managers even will. His breads are his own recipe baked at a local bakery which delivers daily to him. Compare that with Subway's "bread" dough shipped in from their food lab. After reading some of the one-star comments here I lost a little faith in mankind's ability to think rationally. read more
