This place was right across the street from our hotel on our honeymoon, and the concierge suggested we try it. It was really great! The man working there (who I think is the owner) was really passionate and knowledgeable about all the sandwiches and sauces. My husband and I typically like to ask whoever is working there what they like to eat (because we are indecisive and it's a good way to tell if the food really is good), and he did not hesitate to give us a bunch of suggestions. The portions are huge and the quality of the food is great for the price. I ordered a regular and only finished about half of it. Ok, so I am in Irving on a job, from Las Vegas. I usually don't do lunch but today was pretty slow so me and my co worker wanted to grab a bite. He mentioned that he had eaten at this sandwich shop for the past week so I thought he was tired of the place. Well, we stumbled into Subz N Stuff and if I tell you I had the BEST sandwich I've ever had. I felt so at home in the place. There were no strangers in the place. I felt like I was at "Cheers" where everybody knows your name. If they didn't know you, they asked where you were from and everything. All of a sudden the owner starts running toward the door only to open it for another customer. The nicest thing!!!! I am leaving to go back to Vegas tomorrow, I will be going back for one of those Chicken Tikka sandwich's. Great food for low cost and phenomenal service. I've eaten here probably three dozen times in the last year and their food is always incredible. Everything is fresh with generous proportions. The best part are the sauces that the owner makes lined up along the windows near the entrance, everything is a unique flavor, the only downside is there are so many choices it can be hard to find something to complement your sandwich. The service I can't say enough good things about, the first time I went with several coworkers as people were walking in the owner would welcome them by name. I saw this happen every time I've come in since. They must have hundreds of names memorized you feel like family. My husband and I came in here around 1130 Saturday (5/9) morning. Nobody else was in the shop. There was a gentleman behind the counter and another working in the back. It took a few minutes before we were acknowledged and our order taken. To be fair, it did appear the workers were fulfilling a call-in order through waiter.com. However, the one worker in the back did not come out to offer relief to the front-counter person for quite some time. Long story short: it took us nearly 20 minutes to receive our food. Happened to stop here based on Yelp reviews while traveling through Dallas and wow, what a lucky pick! We were fortunate to be served by the owner who is a passionate, gregarious and friendly person who obviously cares deeply about his product and is well established with 16 years in business and expansion in progress. The food was delicious but the dissertation by the owner on the quality of food he strove for versus that of chains really made the encounter. An all-around great experience. I went in on a Monday around 4:30, there was no one in line, and the owner gave me the ultimate customer experience. He told me about their fresh ingredients, brought me around the counter to take a look at the whole operation, and promised to effort to acquire anything that I might like that he didn't already have. He then told me he would remember my name and my order. I brought back some co-workers the next day for lunch, and even with a line ten people deep he greeted me by name as I walked in the door. He remembered my order down to my desire for only a couple of extra jalapenos. Never has a sandwich shop made me feel so good.
