The lady who works here is the sweetest person I've ever met. I never have had someone so stoked for my sandwich before. She literally hyped us up. She was incredibly considerate to change her gloves and guide us through options. She also labeled our sandwich's - she said this was my bf kicking a goal with the Seahawks lol Def not the speediest experience but we were the only ones there and she really took that time to give us the best experience - didn't know I needed that at subway because I've never gotten that in the past - she really set the bar high. Subway is subway. Idk why they don't hire people that understand how to spread out ingredients. Asked the man to spread the meat out so it wasn't piled on one side and he said it costs extra for more. I repeated myself and he poked the meat with the spoon then looked back at me. Bruh, is that how u make your own sandwiches. The look on his face made me feel like he understood but didn't want to spread it out. Overall the sandwich tasted fine. This is about an employee, not about subway itself- no offense but subway is subway lol. There is one particular employee and she's been here the few times I've stopped in over the past... year at least. Her name is Christina, (hopefully I spelled correctly) I hope she's appreciated at this company. She is the sweetest employee I've ever come in contact with. She very obviously really cares about her job, she takes her time to make sure you're getting exactly what you want and it looks great. If she's busy with a few customers already, she apologizes immediately for any wait, and let's you know she'll be with you as soon as she can. Seriously, she is just so kind it really really stands out. She deserves a raise if she hasn't been given one in a few months! She is making sure people leave with a smile every single time. I admit it, I adore Subway. I love their veggie patty and when I'm feeling too lazy/tired/stupid to make myself lunch, I come here. They aren't stingy with their veggies, which I gotta love. This particular Subway is newer, super clean and the service is always friendly and polite. It reminds me of Subways in Connecticut in the 90's--Subway is a CT company, and the best locations used to be there (they even had drive-thrus). This is actually the nicest subway location I ever been to. Came here Thursday night. The person that was working there was just the kindest, and super patient since I take a moment to decide what I want. Also this is a 200 IQ move, but the person at this subway wraps the sandwhich halves for a foot long separately. I have never seen anyone at subway do that ever, and its the best thing. I admit it. Sometimes I want an inexpensive sandwich. And, Subway used to be a great way to get that. The service has always been quick but I expect a lot more attention to detail. I ordered a footlong sandwich, I ate a 1/8 of it. It wasn't because of the dry bread and the tasteless meat, it was because of the plastic! Yes, plastic pieces of packaging were in my sandwich! Cut up nicely and dispersed throughout the sandwich. At first I thought I had bitten into a bone but, that doesn't make any sense. On my second bite I realized it was hard plastic because it was bright yellow. This is not my go to sandwich spot any longer. Gross. read more

Maybe I should have been more courteous when I decide to stop by a brand new restaurant brimming with trainees who just can't seem to figure out a toasting oven. But still, I've never had problems at Subway joints in the past and thought this location would be no different. Speaking of location, this happens to be the newest Subway location - hanging out on the south end of the new retail space, with a Pete's coffee and Whole Foods coming soon. There's a dry cleaner right next door as well, just in case you get too much sauce on your blouse/blazer. All-in-all, the sandwich wasn't bad. I never expect perfection from fast food places, but when it borders on slow food - I tend to feel an iota of impatience hanging over my head. read more

I've always thought of Subways like weeds. They seem to sprout up everywhere: in offices, food courts and in the cracks of strip malls. Of course one persons' weed is anothers' flower and, all things considered, Subway isn't so bad. So it's kind of like the dandelion of weeds; there's a little yellow flower in-between the usual T-Mobile and tanning strip mall shops. This particular Subway holds court in the Interbay strip mall across from the Whole Foods. As you'd expect you can find the usual Subway menu here; there's not a spam footlong that might possibly exist in Hawaii. But it's notable enough for amble parking as well as the fact that it never seems busy. You can breeze in and out of here in 5 minutes. Of course, if enough people become attuned to that fact, an update would be in order. read more

Went into this location today at 5pm & worker barked at my wife as soon as she said 1 word that he was making two sandwiches already with no one else in restaurant... then as we both stood there waiting to place order and he nervously made the most pathetic subway sandwich I ever saw being made shaking the whole time like he was on something another customer walked in and he rudely told her he was making two sandwiches already and then we were next... obviously trying to get her to leave... me & my wife just walked out and won't ever go back... owner should look at video from around 5pm on 6/7 to verify what happened. One of the better Subways I've been to. The woman was friendly and actually made my sandwich with the appropriate number of toppings. I asked for a few green peppers, I got a few green peppers. I asked for tons of olives, I got TONS of olives. And that is how it should be. Most places give me about three olives when I ask for a lot of olives. I order a VEGGIE sandwich, for god's sake. Food is average like any other Subway. I'm giving it 2 stars because of the employees. They both seemed unfriendly and miserable. The guy was sitting on top of the counter in the back where I could see him from the table I was sitting at. I was just about to post a review about a nasty experience I had at this Subway--then saw that someone else has posted almost the exact same thing, but mine happened one day earlier! I went into this Subway for lunch yesterday (not today, like reviewer Pam L.) and had nearly an identical experience: started ordering my sandwich, noticed the girl didn't seem to be feeling good, then watched as she walked into the bathroom with her hand over her mouth and someone else took over with my order. I hung around waiting to see what would happen and sure enough, just like Pam L. said, she came back and started taking orders a couple minutes later. My husband and I started coming to this Subway after Whole Foods across the way was gouging our wallets for a simple breakfast. For about $8 we both have a breakfast sandwich and a beverage. Jen and her husband own the store and she always runs the early shift when we're there. She is super friendly, remembers our orders and seems to remember everyone that comes in. The store is clean and well kept. With the location, there are some iffy people that come in there but they appear to be harmless. Go get breakfast from Jen! read more

Look it's another Subway, and aren't we all impressed? Of course we're not, and I've experienced nothing at this Subway or any other Subway that distinguishes any of them apart from one another. I had a 6" turkey sandwich last time I was here with pepperjack cheese (because they were out of provolone) and it was on the same old bread, and tasted just like all the turkey sandwiches I've gotten at Subway. The young man working today was sitting on the counter in back playing with his phone, acted like he really did not want to be there, very unfriendly. I told him what I wanted but said "exclude the onions" then went to the restroom when I came back he was in the middle of making the 2nd one WITH onions! When I told him I had said NO onions he said "well you wanted it like the picture didn't you?" I told him that he had to make new ones because the person I was taking it to was allergic to onions. He was rude and said we could take them off. He did make us new sandwiches which I appreciated but he really was miserable and unhappy about being there and it showed! Is this the kind of person that is crying for a wage increase? If so you better step up your customer service! read more

When I'm in the area, I used to love to stop at this Subway--it's clean, the workers are fast and friendly, the food seems fresher than some other Subway locations. But I won't be going back because of what I saw there today. As I was ordering my sandwich, I noticed that the girl who was helping me didn't look good. She seemed pale and was swallowing a lot. At one point she actually appeared to gag in the middle of asking me what kind of cheese I wanted. Just after she took my sandwich out of the toaster and started on the veggies, she said "excuse me" and bolted to the bathroom. A couple seconds later, I heard her puking through the door. The other workers didn't take much notice--another guy took over and finished my order. As I was paying for my order, I was already thinking that I didn't want my sandwich anymore. What happened next sealed the deal: the girl came out of the bathroom wiping her eyes and came back on the line to make sandwiches. I don't know about anyone else, but an employer that allows their sick employee to be at work--especially at a job where you are handling peoples' food, is not getting my business. YUCK! read more
