Jersey Mike's is just below Meh. I really hate that they replaced Jimmy John's which was a 4.0 to a 4.5 The problem with Jersey Mikes is that they love to smother everything with Italian Dressing and salt. Blech! The ham sandwich tastes uncured which means it has no flavor. Brown sugar and salt during the curing process goes along way with making the sandwich taste better, and also safer. Curing ham and bacon reduces the chance for tapeworms, or trichinosis. You do not want that. The ham on my sandwich thus had no flavor, and it was drowning in Italian dressing, which soon sogged the whole sandwich into something just BARELY enjoyable. Never again. Jimmy John's from now on or I'll just make my own for a FRACTION of the cost. Plus--ONE tomato slice for the whole sandwich? WTF is that? you can't even cover the bread? Sometimes you get all veggies in one bite, and mostly meat with no veggies in another. Geez, Lord. In recent news, Blackstone has purchased a stake in Jersey Mike's for $8 billion (with a b). Since I'm a fan, as far as fast foot subs go, I had to check it out to see if anything had changed. So far, it's exactly the same. You would think that after a private equity investment of that stature, Blackstone would enforce cost cutting measures. Needless to say, they were still laying down that ham in abundance. This makes me a happy man. If anything, it seemed a little dysfunctional because there were potentially too many people behind the counter. The workers were tripping over each other while tossing around loafs of bread. The Club sandwich is still top notch. Piled high with cold cuts and bacon. And Mike's Way will always reign supreme, with all the fixins you desire on your sandwich. The "regular" size still ends up being huge, and I always regrettably eat the whole thing. But it helped me to get through a depressing stay at the mechanic. Thanks, Mike. I really love this sub shop. For a short time there was Capriotti's, which wich, and some other sub places like Georgio's that never lasted. When I eat at Jersey Mike's I am brought back to summer time, the movie Sandlot, the beach, a boardwalk and some east coast movie where everyone knows your name. I read the origin story of the shop and it's a testament to quality. The ambiance is like any other standard sub shop. It's clean, neat, and doesn't have tacky signs up like Jimmy John's or Potbelly. No judgement. I like it clean. The service is impeccable. I tried the Renton location by IKEA and the counter staff person was yelling out my order like Ramsey to the crew. He was slicing meat and cheese as he went and my sub was meaty, thick, and had the olive oil and vinegar dressing which really made my sub taste clean and crisp. I also love the bread used. I do like my bread and it's unique. I think there was oregano or something sprinkled on there Mikes way. By far, one of the top sub shops in Seattle. Eating out is difficult for me as I have strange food allergies/intolerances; the most severe of which is to sulfites. Not only did the staff behind the counter understand my food allergies, they carefully made my sub to ensure there was no cross contamination, asking me questions every step of the way. Jersey Mike's is not down with Jews or Muslims. This place has repeatedly added bacon to sandwiches where no bacon was requested. Sometimes they'll pick off the bacon and then swear up and down that it never happened, even when there are straight up leftover crumbs of picked-off bacon on the sandwich. After a few times of them making this error and having my lunch ruined, I felt like it was worth a phone call to explain how unpleasant this has been for us. The woman I spoke with was hilariously rude, did not understand why bacon is a more serious error than, say, lettuce; repeatedly told me I was yelling at her when I was simply speaking firmly, called me a liar, and hung up on me. This North Seattle Jersey Mike's is located in the former Jimmy John's, next door to Pop Pop Street Thai Food. I had stopped by back on 7/26/22, but me and others were turned away because they ran out of bread an hour before closing. After a long day without breakfast or lunch, I stopped by around 2pm (8/10/22). One thing I noticed is how well staffed this site is. Made to order subs with fresh ingredients. Friendly, efficient service too. I used a coupon for a BOGO free regular sub purchase. I placed a takeout order for #13 The Original Italian and #17 Mike's Famous Philly. The #13 was also requested Mike's Way which added onions, lettuce, tomatoes, and shakes of spices, and oil and vinegar. Totally hits the spot! Both orders were generously assembled on fresh bread, with choices included white, wheat, rosemary parmesan, or Udi's gluten free. Any sub can also be prepped as a wrap or in a bowl. Both subs ordered were nicely wrapped and bagged for takeout. The #17 was devoured by The Homie and deemed well made, melty and toasty. There's also beverages, assorted chips, cookies, and Tastykake treats to supplement one's order. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating, plus parking availability. Of all the national chains, I prefer Jersey Mike's. This North Seattle/Bitter Lake location is also very convenient and closer to home. 6.19.2023 @1150AM Went here for a sandwich. Unfortunately, their lack of safe food practices and disappointing customer service has completely deterred my future business at this location. As my sandwich was being made, another customer approached the counter because his sandwich was not fully cut. He was simply requesting for a knife to complete the cut. The cashier instructed him to bring the sandwich back to the counter for them to finish cutting. I SAW the sandwich had already been touched AND a bite missing. I let the scenario play through thinking there's no way they would use the same knife to cut MY sandwich. But I was WRONG. The man's sandwich was cut, my sandwich was grabbed by the same ones that touched an eaten sandwich and the same knife began to cut my sandwich. I said "WHOA! You're using the same knife that touched his eaten sandwich"- the lady argued that she "Didn't see him touch the sandwich" and had she seen him, she wouldn't have done what she's clearly doing now. I said it was bit and that I didn't want THAT sandwich. The man that sliced the meats/cheese then chose to jump into the conversation and said "That's fine, we'll give it to somebody that wants the sandwich." Struggling between 3-4 stars . First time coming here, tried to order online but the promo code Wouldn't work even though it was perfectly fine. Pretty busy place between walk in customers and online ordering . The quality of the hand carved meat was very good and the bread was very tasty. My only issue was the girl making my sandwich put so much wet condiments that it made the sandwich it made it hard to eat. There was a huge glob of mustard that overpowered much of the taste. Tried my first Jersey Mike's tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. The bread was fresh and wonderfully chewy. The peppers on the cheesesteak were delicious and the entire sandwich was exactly what I was craving on a cold, rainy night. I cannot comment on the interior of the establishment since I opted for delivery. The parking for this location is plentiful and they are located in a small strip mall beside a Thai place and a mobile phone store. The regular size was more than enough for me. I like Jersey Mike's, but this location is a joke. It is 100% social hour for the employees. I heard more about the people they know (and how much they smoke) than even a question about what Inwant on my sandwich. The first guy welcomed me and sliced the bread, turkey and cheese - he was fine. The next guy completely ignored my sandwich just sitting there because he was too engrossed with his story with the guy wrapping sandwiches. The woman rang me up and Instood there waiting. By that time, there were other people in line and the sandwich maker didn't even know who the sandwich belonged to. I told him what I wanted and he went right back to talking and again was so caught up im his story, he just kept dumping oregano over it and then sorta snapped out of it and hurried to finish my sandwich. Had to grocery shop at Asian Family Market and decided to try Jersey Mike's afterwards. It was peak lunch rush and the place was busy! I noticed they had two crews making sandwiches; online order crew and in-person customer crew. There were a couple people waiting for orders, and the line moved quickly. I did have to ask the people behind the counter to repeat themselves a couple times because it was loud in there and they're behind the glass, and I am short! Staff were friendly and hustling. I got a #13 sub to-go, and ordered it "Mike's Way" The quality of ingredients makes this place 10X better than Subway, and their prices are comparable. A regular size was plenty for me! Freshly sliced meat is a nice touch. My only complaint about my food was that they appeared to sprinkle quite a bit of red wine vinegar on it, but most of it dripped right off and onto the cutting board. I watched him scrape all the vinegar into the waste bin and figured with that much scraping, my sandwich must be well dressed. When I unwrapped my sandwich to eat it, it was not wet at all, and there was not a hint of vinegar taste except at one end. I love that tang red wine vinegar brings to a sandwich, so as much as I liked the meat and toppings, the lack of that dressing was disappointing. After the third time messing up my order in the last month or two I'm finally writing a review (it's delicious when they make it right albeit slightly pricy). I've been there probably 8 or 9 times in the last while, and they've gotten something wrong 3 times, about a 33% miss rate. Only one time I made the effort to bring it all the way back cause I ordered chipotle chicken and there was no chipotle sauce, I had eaten a little but all they did was take the remaining back and added sauce to the remaining and said sorry... didn't quite seem acceptable. They didn't offer to remake it, or at least something of a coupon seems appropriate for the extra effort to drive all the way back there. The other 2 times I asked to sub for provolone and they didn't, which I quite do not like American cheese. So until they can get better at getting orders right, and offer some sort of comp when they get it wrong, my review of them will be pretty low. read more

When I arrived for pick up, everything was ready and he helped me to my car I was just really impressed with their service, the food was on time and really good. Went there today to get a hot mini sandwich. I eat only plant-based so I ordered the veggie on wheat bread with no cheese. I asked them to grill onions, green peppers, and mushrooms. I had to repeat myself three times., and they still did not get it right. They did not grill the onions. I got a #7 and they cut the meat and cheese right in front of you, which I think is great. I liked how fresh it was. They gave lots of veggies, which I love. I would suggest trying "Mike's Way" which adds veggies and some kind of spice and vinaigrette mix that makes it really tasty. Staff were friendly. If I could give negative stars I would. I placed an online order for 2 sandwiches. I got there to pick up a couple minutes before the pick up time and went up to ask if the area for pickup was where I was thinking. They said yes and asked for my name on the order, he saw the order and said yes it will just be a couple minutes before it's ready. I knew I was a couple minutes early so it was no problem and I sat down to wait. There were at least 10 employees in the shop and after 15 minutes of sitting there another guy asked me what I was waiting for. I told him my name and that my order was supposed to be done 15 minutes ago. He goes to the back and comes back out and says nothing. I wait another 5 minutes and go up and ask if my order can be cancelled if they haven't even started it. At this point, it's been over 35 minutes since I've ordered. They grab a manager and he said I'm sorry we are busy and training a lot of people...they barely start my order and another guy tells me he ordered 15 minutes after I did and his name is then called for his pickup. I was more frustrated that all these people are leaving with their food before mines even started on top of being told 20 minutes ago that it was just another couple minutes. The manager said he would talk with the associate who said it was just a couple minutes, and gave me a free sub card. The guy who was talked to about the couple minutes comment was the guy who made my order and came to give it to me. He passive aggressively calls me darling and says sorry about the wait, I say I understand and thank you and turn to walk out as he tells me as he's walking away "next time just be patient". I was absolutely baffled at the horrible customer service and left immediately as it was obvious they don't care about how they treat people especially after waiting 45 minutes for my food to be done. I drove back to work hoping to at least take a couple bites of my food before having to get back to work just to find my sandwich filled with things that don't even come on the sandwich to begin with and was just completely wrong and gross I couldn't even eat it. It's like he purposely made my order wrong because I had a problem with a 45 minute wait. Worst experience ever and I will never be back to this location.
