I was pretty disheartened when they gave me a styrofoam cup for my beverage. I really thought…read morecompanies did away with this kind of packaging decades ago. I felt guilty tossing that cup in the trash. No regard for the environment in this city. Food was good though and I'm glad I got to try this TX burger chain. The staff were pretty nice. This city is more affordable than Seattle plus they have an NBA team.

As someone who manages people and production for a living, I rarely leave negative reviews unless…read morethere is a clear breakdown in leadership. Unfortunately, that was exactly the case during our visit to this Whataburger. We placed our order through the Whataburger app at 12:17 a.m. after spending the evening enjoying downtown San Antonio. Despite ordering ahead, we did not receive our food until 1:16 a.m.--nearly an hour later. What made the experience even more frustrating was watching numerous customers who ordered in person after we arrived receive their meals 30 minutes or more before ours. There appeared to be no organized system for handling mobile orders. I want to be clear that this review is not directed at the employees working the counter and kitchen. They remained professional, kept their composure, and worked as quickly as they could under what was obviously a very difficult situation. They deserve credit for maintaining a positive attitude despite being overwhelmed. The responsibility rests with management. This was Friday night in downtown San Antonio, and there was a major concert at the Alamodome. None of this should have been a surprise. A competent management team anticipates predictable surges in business by scheduling appropriately, preparing inventory, and ensuring operational systems can handle increased demand. Instead, it appeared the restaurant was understaffed and unprepared, leaving employees to absorb the frustration of customers. That's not fair to the staff, and it's certainly not acceptable for paying customers. What happened wasn't simply a busy night--it was a failure in planning and leadership. When management prioritizes minimizing labor costs over being adequately prepared for predictable demand, the customer experience inevitably suffers. I hope the ownership reviews what occurred this night. The employees deserve better support, and customers deserve the level of service they expect from one of Texas' most recognizable brands.

The chorizo and ranchero sauce really made it stand out. The Mexican street corn on the side might have been even better. That stuff is seriously addicting like crack. I could have eaten a bowl of it by itself. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

Now listen I enjoy a good mood, but this setting went a little past moody. It was DARK dark. They could definitely bump those lights up about two settings and still keep all the ambiance. lol Thankfully, the food and service needed no adjustments. Our waiter Stephen was really nice, attentive and quick throughout our visit. Thanks for taking good care of our table! We tried the paella and steak fajitas, and everything came out nice and hot. Both were enjoyable, but we also need to talk about those spicy mango and watermelon margaritas because the drinks definitely DELIVERED. Flavor was there, and so was the pour. Overall, we had a good experience. Nice River Walk location, hot and tasty food, great drinks and friendly service. Just turn those lights up enough for me to admire the meal before I eat it.

Filling food, quick service, what more could you want at Chipotle?…read more I've been to this location twice and both times were solid visits. It's a smaller restaurant that was neither the cleanest nor dirtiest on both occasions, and though the employees weren't exactly full of smiles, they were by no means rude. If nothing else, they're quick on the food line and helpful if you have questions. The food is always fresh and hot, and they never skimp on the serving size. This last time I ordered a Chicken Burrito Bowl with White Rice, Black Beans, Queso, Sour Cream, and Cheese. They prepared my order with enough of each ingredient so that I didn't feel like I was lacking for any one particular thing. The Chicken wasn't too fatty but was still pretty moist, the Rice was soft and fluffy, and the Beans weren't over or undercooked. The Sour Cream, Queso, and shredded Cheese made for excellent creamy toppings. The Burrito Bowl as a whole made for an excellent and satisfying hearty meal that was absolutely packed with protein. If you need a quick bite downtown, stop by this Chipotle!
