The #13 Original Italian. Delicioso!
Michael B.

Very good franchise outlet of Jersey Mike's. I've always had mixed feelings for JM's, solely due to the bread - it's fluffy, fresh, and delicious but not suited for their hot subs as it'll tend to sog up. However, that light bread is perfect for cold Italian sandwiches, which is why I always get a #13 Original Italian with Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappocolo, salami, and pepperoni. This location served it up fast and friendly and there were plenty of clean tables, so that's a hearty thumbs up from me. This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

Always a great sandwich. Big Kahuna Pilly for me. Wife gets the 55. We shall return. See us on YouTube at Coolest Life.

#3 Ham and Provolone

The atmosphere smells delish. I was having a hard time deciding between the Italian BLT or ham and cheese. I asked the guy what he suggested and he said he'll give me a "knuckle sandwich if i don't decide in the next 10 seconds". I didn't see a " knuckle sandwich " on the menu so I went for ham and cheese. So nice for with the recommendations. Sandwich was good, but I think the sandwich artist gave me a Italian BMT instead. Did I order a Italian? I honestly don't remember. I forgo . Anyways I love subway 10/10

Update - we went back recently and I don't know what happened but it seems like the level of cleanliness has decreased. I watched two flies land into the sandwich that they were making for the person in front of me. The staff member saw it too because they shooed away the flies. Instead of offering to remake it, they asked the man what toppings he wanted. Gross! This staff member then proceeded to take the extra toppings that fell out of this person's sandwich and put them back on the pile of fresh vegetables. Now the fresh lettuce had spices, vinegar and onions in it because the guy in front of me ordered it mikes way. The staff member easily could have scraped it into the garbage. It didn't make any sense. This same staff member also didn't change their gloves between cutting cold cuts and ringing up a customer at the register. Ugh. When I noticed that my sandwich was going to be made with the "scrap" lettuce and tomato another staff member noticed my shock and offered me the lettuce and tomato from the front that hadn't been mixed in with the toppings that had come off the guy in front of me's sandwich. At least this second guy changed his gloves out after ringing us up. Can't say I recommend this place after this experience.

Big Kahuna Cheese Steak

Ordered the Big Kahuna Cheese Steak for delivery. Once I laid eyes upon this masterpiece I knew it was going to taste delicious. I was unprepared for just how delicious it would be. This is top two as far as Philly sandwiches I've had in San Antonio and it isn't number 2. The Big Kahuna comes with a generous portion of steak, grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, and extra white American cheese. It was phenomenal. My girlfriend got the Turkey and Provolone and liked it, but was disappointed because I had the better sandwich. All in all, I can't wait to try something else from this place to see if they do other sandwiches as well as their Philly. If not, I'll just grab another Big Kahuna I guess.

The food super yummy and the service was awesome. The team that took care of us around 1030 on Saturday 12-14-2019 were a great team. Kudos to them for wonderful service and meal suggestions. We had The Original Italian and The Club Supreme. Super yummy. A must go place. Thank you for your attention.

Another sandwich joint. You got balls, Jersey Mike, settin up shop in the old McAllister's when the McAllister's moved to a bigger location just down the parking lot. So whatcha got, Mike?? The bread and ingredients are fairly fresh (even the bacon! Take that, weird bacon at Subway!). You can get any sammich on bread, in a wrap, or as a salad. They've got a griddle for making your hot sammich right there on the spot (there's a notice warning about the wait for the time-crunched). A "Regular" is "about 7 inches", they told me without a snicker. I had a Philly style hot sub with chipotle mayo added. The mushrooms are sadly some can job, but I think that's the way it's usually done; this is a meaty, cheesy choice. To drink? Bottles, including sports-drinks; Pepsi fountain; tea: regular, sweet, or WATERMELON SWEET, which is Holy Delicious Diabetes Batman - I only put a shot in a cup of unsweet so I could stand it. Next time I'm trying a California Club, extra bacon.

Jersey Mike's Subs employee doing a great job at cleaning all surfaces which you don't usually see these days.

This is only my second time eating their food but the first time I tried it, I was hooked. I had it delivered by lunch drop to work. Today I was craving one of their sandwiches. I went in to this location and couldn't believe that they actually slice the cheese & meats fresh to order! The staff was super friendly and one of the employees was doing an amazing job at keeping the clean, wiping down all surfaces. I highly recommend this place.

The breaded cutlets...all of them...pork, veal, and chicken are fantastic. The deviled eggs are purely what you'd expect. The atmosphere is pristinely German. The German chocolate cake is delicious. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing, which is why I'm giving 3 stars. I ordered the veal Schnitzel with mushroom gravy (Jägerschnitzel) and red cabbage. The gravy had a strange gelatin-like consistency and lacked the rich flavor you'd expect from a proper Jäger sauce. The veal was extremely chewy and honestly made me feel ill afterward. The red cabbage was also very undercooked and completely lacked flavor. Overall, I personally did not find the food authentic or representative of true German cooking. What truly saved this experience was the outstanding customer service. Our server, Joseph, was attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout the meal. I also greatly appreciated Mr. Adam, the kitchen manager, who personally came out to discuss my concerns. He handled the constructive criticism with professionalism and openness, and I truly respected the fact that he listened carefully and considered my feedback regarding the sauce. Although I wouldn't personally return for the food, Joseph and Mr. Adam turned what could have been a terrible experience into one where I still felt valued as a customer. Their professionalism absolutely deserves recognition.

It's the kind of place folks drift into and, before long, start calling their own. The people there carry themselves with quiet pride--no fuss, no show--just a steady hand at their work and a genuine welcome for whoever steps through the door. The menu ain't thrown together. It's been shaped with care, like a well-tuned string on a guitarra, each choice meant to stand on its own but better still when taken together. The flavors come through bold and honest, with a little flourish here and there--nothing overdone, just enough to remind you somebody back there knows what they're about. It's a small spot, sure, but that only draws folks closer. Feels a bit like gathering under a shaded porch after a long day--easy talk, shared laughter, and the sense you're among friends, whether you've known 'em years or just met 'em. Every greeting carries the warmth of old ties, like you've been welcomed back rather than simply let in. And the food--well, it doesn't hold back. Each bite's got a richness that settles in and makes you slow down, take notice, and then go back for more. It's the kind of meal that stays with you, the way a good story does. Spend a little time there with friends, and you'll come away knowing you've found something true--a place where the spirit of San Antonio, with its charro heart and neighborly ways, lives on in every plate set down and every hand extended in welcome.

So, when co-workers wanted to go yesterday, I jumped on it. Don't get me wrong. I love the vibe of this place. I LOVE their story. It's very NY/Northeastern deli feel (they're from Pittsburgh, but you get my drift, right!?). No nonsense. Small inside area. No tables inside. Just enough room to look at the menu, order, and go wait outside. I opted for the chicken bacon ranch on hoagie. What came out was a decent size sandwich, but incredibly messy and soggy. There was so much juice/ liquid the sandwich quickly became unmanageable and just disintegrated. Look, if you're going to serve a sandwich that messy, please upgrade your napkins. It was a one bite - two napkin ratio. The sandwich was good, but the mess and difficulty eating it just took away any enjoyment. Additionally, the flies outside rivaled the worst I've experienced. Do you remember the scene in the Lost World, Jurassic Park movie when the hunters found the Rex nest!? Okay, okay, maybe not that bad, but it was a lot. Hang some fly bags or strips or somethin'. Found price to be a little high. By the time I bought chips and a drink, plus tip: $22. Just FYI: my co-worker disagrees. He thought it was the BEST SANDWICH HE'D EVER HAD. So, yes, go give them a try, but bring a beach towel for clean up.

I passed this on the way to my assignment location and began researching this spot. Some google…read morereviews mentioned they are F1 fans and Ferrari people. So I knew I had to check them out. I was able to make my way here on my last day in San Antonio in late March thanks to my flight being delayed and my oh my, I am quite impressed! The older gentleman taking my order at the counter gave me a big smile when I mentioned I heard you have this thing called the serious sandwich here. He told me that they do and then stated "You won't regret ordering it, seriously." Chuckling, I decided on a half order of that along with a side of potato salad and their side of beans. After taking my first bite, I realized the gentleman was right. This is a dope sandwich! Excellent cured meats in the salamar and pair of hams along with the provolone and melted cheddar with the veggies, spices, italian dressing, and mustard. The bread they use holds up well and has a slight crunch to it. If you prefer your bread to have softness to it, you may have to ask if they can substitute a different bread instead of the italian flat bread they use. But I absolutely love this sandwich the way it is! As for the sides, the potato salad has a slight mustard taste and right consistency with a dash of paprika on top; just the way I like it. The beans are charro beans (I think) that are served steaming hot with some pork trimmings mixed in; I may have dipped my sandwich in it a couple times for flavor explosion. What can I say, I'm adventurous! There's some ferrari memorabilia and posters on the right side where some of the high top seating is. As a Ferrari F1 fan, I appreciate them displaying this here along with the track map of the COTA circuit in Austin. The seating area is spread out nicely with plenty of seats/tables and a drink station with some random signs up. All of interest to consumers like us. Definitely recommend coming here for either the serious sandwich or other delicious ones like their meatball sandwich or manhattan. I can't wait to come back and try the other ones but I may just stick with the serious sandwich cause I loved it. SERIOUSLY!
