Ummm...what rock have I been hiding under?! Because why did nobody tell me Culver's was over here serving food like this? We finally gave them a try and ordered a little something for everybody: kids grilled cheese, sourdough melt, and the Mushroom & Swiss Deluxe meal. And normally I'd break everything down and tell you which one was the favorite, what could've been better, blah blah blah... Nope. Not today. IT WAS ALL GREAT. Nobody had a miss on their order. Everything tasted good, everyone was happy, and even the value for what we ordered was nice. That alone will get my attention when I'm feeding the whole crew. The drive-thru moved pretty quickly. We did have a short wait after ordering, but nothing long enough to complain about especially when the food came out worth waiting for. Apparently I waited entirely too long to try Culver's, but I can promise you one thing I will NOT be waiting that long to order it again. read more

I'm going to start by saying Yuko is the main reason for this review (the Star rating is for her alone) her service was outstanding. She went above and beyond. She was on the window then came and start running orders to the cars. She took the initiative when the other worker was falling behind. The food was horrible. Like literally!! I was first given the wrong order then brought some fries and a complimentary concrete for the mixup. I ordered the culver deluxe meal the fries was cold the sandwich was cold. I thought the food was made to order? Nope! The cheese wasn't melting really felt like they had just took everything out of the cooler and assembled it. The patty was cold not warm but cold. The bread wasn't buttered it was smashed like you couldn't tell the bottom from the top bun. Like I've never been to a Culver's like this. Culver's is my favorite burger place and to receive this mockery of a meal was insane. The cheese curds were cold. Like I literally couldn't believe I received that from Culver's. read more

First time ever having Culver's! I ordered online and picked up in the store. First customer service was amazing. The lady was so nice, they were so busy and she gave me a small drink for the wait. She was very friendly and made everyone feel important. The food was hot and fresh. It was amazing. I loved the burger and fish. I ordered more than I could eat but I wanted to try it. The cheese curds were really good. I wanted ranch and had to pay extra for it and did not receive it, that was disappointing. I will be back! read more

Stumbled on this location of Culver's, definitely been a while so we had to get our fix. I got the Swiss pattie melt with regular fries and a drink. My husband got a double butter burger with bacon and fries along with cheese curds. All of it was amazing ! The service was great, and the dining area was clean as well. It was worth the drive from the eastside! Definitely going back next time were on this side of town. read more

I finally got to try Culver's! I'm always in the lookout for good burgers. I think my experience makes it difficult to fully judge the burger here but the other food here is pretty great, especially the cheese curds. I had my food to-go and with the drive my food was not fresh. I thought the burger was fine but would like to have it be freshly made. The chicken tenders were surprisingly good. Strawberry fields salad is my new favorite salad! The fresh greens topped with grilled chicken, strawberries, grape tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles and large toasted pecan halves was the perfect lunch. My dining companion and I split a grilled chicken sandwich and the salad to make our own combo. Shout out to Pastora for friendly service.... very nice that she delivered the custard to our table after our meal. Be sure to complete the survey on the receipt to get a free scoop of custard on your next visit. read more

Worst burger experience ever. We ordered a single burger and fries and a malt. The burger delivered was a double meat burger that was so salty we threw it away. Our fries were not fresh cooked. Malt was delicious as usual. Get people who can comprehend English and cook the menu correctly! Poorest Culver's in Texas. read more

First off, let me start by saying my rating has nothing to do with the food, but the comfort in the restaurant. The staff here is definitely friendlier than at most fast food burger places. The burgers at this location are always hot and juicy. Their thick-cut crinkle fries are my family's favorite. They are always crispy on the outside while soft and fluffy on the inside. I also really enjoy their grilled chicken sandwich, but unless you are a mayonnaise fan, I recommend you either get the sandwich without the mayo, or light mayo. The chicken is always juicy enough to not need any kind of dressing at all. The custard...always delicious! My only complaint is the comfort when dining in this location. Let me explain. , Every time I go inside in my rubber soled tennis shoes I still always feel like the floor is slippery. From the entrance to the seating area...my shoes just feel like they could slip with one wrong step. I dont know if it is the cleaning agent they use or what...but my footing always feels a little unsteady because of the "slimy" floors. Secondly, the restaurant is ALWAYS hot. Like they barely turn the A/C on. Sometimes it gets really uncomfortable because of the stiffeling hot air that is in the restaurant. Because of this, we try not to go during the day so we dont melt from the lack of A/C in the restaurant. Other than that, I really enjoy Culver's. It is great food and treats for an average price. Will definitely be going back...just maybe not sitting inside. read more

Food is great! It's always busy but it's worth it. We come twice a month. My family from El Paso Tx loved Culver's!!!

We've been to Culver's in Florida and Missouri but I think this is our first in Texas. Kids each got a meal, husband got a (bunless) burger and fries and I got a bunless burger. The food was great. I wasn't full after my double patty burger and got a coleslaw side (which wasn't that big either.) The workers here are AMAZING! Gosh! They were so friendly and helpful! The hospitality was top notch. How is everyone so happy?!?! Kids LOVED getting FREE ice cream with their kid's meal... I loved the FREE part! read more

Never had the food, so I can't in good faith give you a review on that, bud the desert is to die for! My favorite is their concretes!

Amazing tasting hamburgers & fish. They are fast with your order. I am never disappointed in their service. Place always clean

The person taking orders in the drive thru is super rude! She cuts you off and doesn't let you finish an order without interrupting. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is their food is good. Do better Culver's! read more

Service was eh... it was me and my family's first time here, and around the time we came in, we were the only ones in-line the order. We were greeted by the manager/supervisor, and he immediately asked what we wanted. I told him we needed a moment to figure out what we wanted, as it was our first time. A minute later, he asked again, and I said we weren't ready yet. A minute went by again, and he asked yet again. I then told him to give us a moment because we were first-timers. We could tell he was getting impatient and annoyed, which was a bit irritating because we were unsure of what to get. Food: The food was bland. The burger was overly greasy and tasteless, and the buns were so dried out. Fries sucked. The onion rings were okay, but the sauce that came with it was gross. Overall, the only enjoyable thing was the root beer. read more

17 Jul 2024 Just yum. We went on the recommendation of some of the husband's classmates. He doesn't listen to my suggestions and I'm the expert!! Ha, ha. Culver has 'value baskets': the sandwich, fries (crinkle cut) and a drink. I had the Culver deluxe burger and the husband went with pork loin sandwich. Both are good. The price for the two was under $20. The single patty burger is topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, cheese with their signature mayo. It's not just straight mayo. The bun is slightly buttered. Quite good. The husband just requested mayo and raw onions in his sandwich. After a while, we each went and ordered Concrete Mixes. This their frozen custard with two add-ins. The list of add-ins is quite long. More than three and then you pay for the additional ones. My add-ins were hot fudge and hot caramel. The husband went with fruit - strawberries and peach. The staff is helpful and pleasant. They appear to be adequately staffed. The restaurant is quite airy and clean. Go there. read more

I finally got the chance to try Culver's restaurant in San Antonio, and it was an amazing experience. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and excellent service. Didn't know Texas had so many friendly people. I heard about this place only through social media and how great it is, but today, I finally got to try it out for myself Now, let's talk about the food. It was absolutely delicious! The ButterBurger was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful. The toppings were fresh and the bun was soft and fluffy. The crinkle cut fries were crispy and the portion size was just right. And the custard was heavenly, with a creamy texture and a great selection of flavors to choose from. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Culver's restaurant. I'm sad there isn't any location out in Las Vegas but it makes sense why.. Its like if In N Out had a baby with Chick fil a. They even have christian music playing inside, tell me that isn't amazing. read more

I ordered a deluxe single combo with fries and an apple juice. It was my first time ordering from a Culver's and I went through the drive-through, so I don't what it looks like inside. The service was nice and quick, but the reason for the 2-star review is because of the food. I asked for no onions, but they heard no pickles, which I should have checked and is mostly my fault. However, despite the burger having the rest of the fixings, it was very bland. I could only taste the tomato and maybe the mayo too, everything else did not have any flavor. And, although I do not expect food to look like the picture on the website, the burger wasn't even close. The burger was very squished and I am not sure if the same bun from the picture was used. The only thing I liked from my order were the fries; they were very delicious, crispy, and hot. Overall, the burger wasn't horrible, it was extremely average. I could see that I was eating a burger, but I couldn't taste that I was eating a burger; it just left a weird and disappointing feeling after eating the sandwich. I don't think I would come back because I haven't found a reason to; plus, you can get more for less at Whataburger (and they have more flavor)‍ read more

The burgers are made with fresh beef not frozen and butter burger is a great description of it because the cheese is from Wisconsin and the lightly toasted buttered buns add a great flavor. The veggies are always crisp as well. The stand out menu item is the cheese curds, these are melt in your mouth fantastic and are a mix of white and yellow Wisconsin cheese. They have a pretty good variety on their menu with offerings such as salads, chicken, fish and even shrimp. Their service is very efficient and they move cars through the drive thru like clockwork. The shakes are best enjoyed as a dessert because they are filling and really tasty, malts I thought were a thing of the past but not here. Definitely a place worth trying. It's on our favorite list. Wallet friendly too. read more

Great strawberry shake, made with real strawberries! Compliments the burger perfectly. Get a double patty, they're thin, but delicious. Crinkle fries are always nice and salty, plus cooked all the way through and crispy on outdid but soft inside. Can't believe I went so long without trying this place. read more

Even though I've been to Culver's plenty of times since I was a child, being from the Midwest, this was my first experience at this location. I was throughly impressed at the service meaning nothing has changed. I decided to go for dinner and I guess all of San Antonio had the same idea. The parking lot was packed! There was a line for the drive thru but the inside had even more people so I decided to stay in my car. The line went fast and even though people had to pull their cars up to wait for an employee to bring them their orders. I ordered the Culver's deluxe with a side of fries and onion rings. I've heard people comment about the meat being too salty but that is just flavor that comes with smash burgers and the grill being seasoned. I actually prefer my burgers this way. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the beef is so flavorful that you really don't need any condiments but the burger comes with Mayo. The fries were fresh and lightly salted and the onion rings were crispy. This is exactly how I remembered Culver's as a child and I'm so glad that the food along with the great customer service has not changed and lives up to the name. I know Texans are going to get on me about this but, I actually prefer Culver's over Whataburger, sorry folks! It's food has so much flavor that it can't be beat! read more

their communication skills need to be better than what they are. This is the 2ND meal I've gotten that has been bad! Today I picked up a Cashew chicken salad. It was awful. Tried to eat but ended up throwing it away. Chicken was rubbery and dry and the seasoning on the chicken was not good. The lettuce was mostly all white. I thought a salad is supposed to have some green not this one. So disappointed in your restaurant. I use to get food here weekly but recently stopped because the food has gone down hill. I also waited for my food for over 10 minutes. I thought waiting that long was because my food is being cooked. Do better Culver's! Serve fresh! read more

Culver's is so good!! Friendly staff and delicious food!! And they have a variety of items

Pretty good if you like homestyle burgers. My only complaint is that the meat is a bit salty and too lean. It doesn't have that signature burger taste/smell. Portion is big, the burger is a good size, good price for what you get. The bun is really good, smells great! But overall taste of the burger is missing something. Meat is on the leaner side, good if you enjoy a healthy burger. For me, I prefer more fat. Concrete mix is okay, i need to try their custard without toppings. I got the salted caramel and cheesecake bite, too sweet for me. Concrete mixer also melted really fast, ended up eating it like a milkshake. 3/5, would come again to try vanilla. Cheese curd - different type of cheese, this was very good with ranch. I would order this again with a regular burger with no cheese 4/5 Culver's Deluxe - good buns, alot of meat, great toppings. Overall this is a good executed burger, just wish the meat had more fat and less salt. I scrapped off my cheese to lessen the saltiness 3.5/5 Overall okay place, healthy fast food. I want to come back to try the Atlantic Cods and rueben sandwich read more

I just went today for the first time ever to Culver's, because was told it is a great burger place. This turned out to be a lie. First the drive attendant was rude and had no idea what customer service is. Secondly they got my order completely wrong. I asked for no pickles, no onions and the burger had them both old they added jalapeños, which I don't like. After taking off all these ingredients, I ate the burger and it was terrible. For being the first time here, it will also be my last. I will never recommend this place to my family and friends. read more

When does fast food stop just being fast food? Culver's, that's where. I've gotten through about a third of the menu here over the last six or seven weeks, and literally everything here is great. The 'Butter Burgers' are excellent. The crinkle-cut fries are always freshly fried. The custards are always excellent. The fried chicken sandwich is great, close to Chik Fil-A's. The root beer is amazing and gives A&W's freshly mixed stuff a run for its money. The fried cod blows Long John Silver's away and is always on point. And most of all, their Rueben sandwich ROCKS. Ordering is done at a counter, but they bring the food to you. Love the fact that they're open at 10am serving lunch items as well. Fast and friendly service, what's not to like???? Culver's is easily my favorite fast n' casual place in San Antonio. This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either. read more

Wow this place is awesome. And Yuko is the best. We came with the fam and the price was going up and up until Yuko did her magic so the all the basket combos and it came down like $10!
