It's now Chuzz Burgers and the burger i had was good. It was the OG and my husband had the Smashzilla or something like that. The variety of burgers are small. The fries were okay. We'd rather have the thick cut fries of fatburger but I digress. They have milkshakes as well but we didnt try those. Overall, the service was good. We had to call the Hardy Oak location in order to find out if they were open. No matter how many times we called no one answered. When we ordered online, it was for curbside pick up but when I got there, there was no assigned parking for the curbside and even the employee was confused about that. She was very nice about it and when I called the number on the door, someone actually answered. She came out to my car as I parked directly in front of the store to retrieve my food. Fatburger originated in California and I had never tried it until now, at fiesta six flags. Ironically, I'm from CA. This location is at the boardwalk section of fiesta six flags. It was pretty crowded and they were under staffed so the wait time was longer but worth it. I surprisingly really really enjoyed my burger. I'm usually not a burger person, so I was pleasantly surprised and satisfied! They do shredded lettuce and mustard in their burgers which I'm not used to but again, I really enjoyed it. I wanted to try this place months ago and came with my sister and older daughter but when we walked in the door it smelled like bathroom. It was so bad we walked right out. Assumed they were having a sewage problem that day. So just recently we walked I. Again just to grab a meal for my 6 year old who didn't want Panera bread . Only 1 person ahead of us ordering and the few tables there looked pretty occupied. We were ordering to go a plain burger kids meal skinny fries. And 1 extra order of skinny fries . We waited 26 minutes to get our kids meal of a plain burger and fries and a salad cuts side of skinny fries and then the fries were the same size as the kids fry and unsalted, they were not appetizing and my Togo bag didn't even include salt packets for my unsalted fries . . My family purchased dinner from Fatburger the other evening, and it was okay. While it wasn't the worst burger we've had, it wasn't memorable. I had the 1000 Island burger with the steak fries, and the burger was just okay. The patty itself was quite salty. My husband got a double-meat, and while it was larger, it was also an average burger. My child wasn't a fan of the boneless wings. We expected the sauce to be on the side, and that wasn't the case, so my child didn't eat much of the food. The milkshakes were also okay, yet by the time we got home, the shakes had thinned and the whipped cream had melted. We're less than 10 mins away from home, so we were a bit surprised. Finally, we did attempt to order food from the Fatburger website, yet parts of the site, especially the ordering portion, was down. If someone asked me to meet them here, I might go, yet I'd probably recommend other burger places. read more

I'm a Fatburger aficionado from waaaay back, as I've eaten at their location in Los Angeles just off Las Cienaga Blvd several times. The burgers here capture the magic, juicy and magnificent even at the 13rd pound size. Get this or the 1/2 pound version with the 'Fat Fries' (steak fries), they're very good. Service is fast and friendly, plenty of parking. Only nits are that the bun was cold, and that this place is VERY small for the seating. There's around 9-10 tables but they're packed together so that you feel you're on top of one another. Go early or get it to go! This place scores a 4 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. The restaurant has a fun sports vibe, they had some games on the television, it was very clean and you can partially visualize them making you burger. The service is a walk up and order at the counter, they give you a number, and someone brought our food to our table. The server was very friendly, and appeared to be enjoying her job, in opinion that is awesome! The burger was cooked very well, tasty and I had everything put on the burger which I must say I am now a fan of relish on burgers. I enjoyed my fried very much! And they forgot literally every single topping. Also you pay 20.99 (burger) + 6.49 (drink) for money better spent at McDonald's. Also the drink is 70% ice, and there's no straws. Well what a fun spur of the moment food adventure that was. On a whim we decided to swing in and now we have another place to add to the burger joint rotation. The staff was super nice and friendly. They had some great tunes, I might have been caught singing to some late 90s jams...on to the food. That was the best gluten free hamburger buns I've had in a really long time. The original was really good! It was hot, fresh and flavorful and the Pattie had the crispy edges which are my favorite. The skinner fries were hot, crispy and delicious. The kids devoured their meals and have 2 thumbs up. The hubs enjoyed his western burger, he was awfully quiet during lunch. It's Christmas break so what else does a dad do but get everyone milk shakes. The strawberry was delicious and creamy. The kids loved their vanilla shake. Absolutely terrible. I should start with the fact that I have been a Fatburger fan since I was stationed in California. When I went in for lunch, after about 15 min invested in getting a burger, they got the order wrong. Since I didn't have time to wait another 15 min or so and then eat, I just asked for my money back. The "manager" tells m "OK, I'll hurt that refunded to your card. A couple of days later I have a charge for 2.02 on my card. Not a refund. Mind you, I did not touch any part of my food and I did not get a drink. Since I paid with a business card, I need a receipt. I tried calling the number, but Fatburger, as policy, does not care enough to answer the phone. It goes to a national line and goes to a voicemail. No, your call will not be returned. I drove in and spoke to the same "manager". She disappeared for a while and came back saying she could not find a record of the transaction. She literally could not have cared less. In one incident Fatburger managed to turn me from a pile the family in the car and drive over there guy to a F those guys guy. Bravo Fatburger. Fatburger offers a good burger and the sweet potato fries are also good. The onions rings are not! Taste as if they are straight form a factory, mass produced and frozen box. The service could be a lot better! They have 2 cashier stations and only 1 is manned while a line of customers are waiting to order/pay. The whole point of ordering togo is to get your food fast and hot--not wait for the one cashier to take an order and ring it up. Get someone to man the other cashier station and get the payment so the customer can get their food, pay and move out to eat hot food! The manager should be keeping an eye on this sort of thing and get up and help (check customers out!) when the other employees are busy and not paying attention. That is why I give it a 3 star. read more
