This is by far the best and kindest service I have ever received at any fast food place. This will be my new regular burger boy and I will definitely make the time to stop at THIS location!! I would recommend to everybody don't miss this gem!! everybody is super nice and the workers are top tier and extremely polite! Scott was so great and put the cherry of top of my day and truly extended a kind hand to someone who needed an extra push today, by far the best staff I've ever came across. Amazing customer service! Another iconic burger joint in San Antonio! Save room for shakes and/or dessert (Texas sheet cake!) Food is fast, fresh, and delicious! Crinkle fries for those who love them. Great service. Great ambiance. Clean location with drive-through an plenty of parking read more

First time ordering from this location. The large fries look like a medium size. Look at how the fries are dumped in the bag. I ordered a kid size burger to try it. The bun was hard. They dump a wad of napkins on top of the food. Weird! Women's restroom had paper on the floor. I'm going to patronize the UTSA location next time. read more

I was visiting my daughter in San Antonio and working from the hotel. My daughter brought me lunch and exposed me to Burger Boy - deliciousness in perfectly crisped fries and old fashioned cheeseburgers. I'll definitely have it again on another visit and recommend to others. Delicious and cost effective. (No photo of the cheeseburger as I ate it too quickly). read more

I went at the suggestion of a coworker. I'd seen it before but the ratings were just ok. I was out on my Saturday quick run and decided to grab lunch and check out a Crystal shop nearby. I got the double patty combo and replaced the drink for a Creamsicle shake. The shake was decent. It had the taste of the creamsicle slightly. I was surprised it wasn't more orange in color though. Would I buy it again? Probably not. The combo was supposed to be a large fry but was more like a small. Most restaurants give that amount in kid's meals. The burger was more like a smash burger. I replaced raw onions for grilled. Honestly, the burger was just ok. It had a taste to it that was slightly off. I'm not sure if it was the burger or the fried onions. What I will say is that it wasn't terribly expensive. I want to say about $13 was the total. I was just underwhelmed though. Customer service was great though. read more

Entrance & exit sidewalks both black with dirty grease and drink spills. Made me want to not enter! Restaurant had 3 dirty tables. No water available. Meat in burger had piece of bone had to spit out. This location has sunk to a low rating. read more

Drive thru availble but we sat inside. They have stools facing the window if you plan to stop alone. The service was great and friendly. We were suggested to get a grilled cheese, upgrade buns to burger buns, and add a patty. This comes out to about $6 and the cheapest way to get the best bang for your buck. Also if you add on a shake you get the shake at about half price. It was good. We tried a root beer and Oreo shake. Supposedly the best combo. I'm not too crazy for root beer but you should try it, I didn't hate it. read more

My wife and I are trying Burfer Boy for the first time and she sees an app special sign when walking in. So she says I'll download the app and order that way. She does and our order goes through. Counter guy says it shows as a drive through order, we tell him we are eating in dining room. He says he will change to dining in. I asked for our drink cups. He looks at me and says we will give those to you when your food is ready. I say everyone who ordered got their cups. He says they will be with our order! Bad service on first trip equals never coming here again. Good luck Burger boy with poor training on customer service. read more

Place was been swept. My double burger with everything and jalapeño good just a little salty. Fries good. Service ok. My friend said her chicken burger was awful - it tasted like it was fried in same grease as the fish was fried in. Her husband ordered a burger boy he said it is ok. read more

These places have popped up all over town, so as I self proclaimed "burger guy", I had to see what it was all about. In the end, I don't see the hype. This particular location is kinda hard to get to unless you happen to be going the "right way" on Bitters to begin with. Additionally, parking is a nightmare. There is nowhere near enough and (at least when I went) they have the back part of the lot coned off so as to lessen interference with the drive thru. I opted for the "working man" special. I thought the burger itself was pretty darn big for the price, but ya gotta opt for two patties or it's simply not going to be enough meat. No way these count as LARGE fries. No way. Disappointing. Overall, a decent burger, but the patties were over-salted. Lastly, why ask if I want my order "for here or to go?" If you're just going to serve all orders in to go bags anyway? In the end: decent price, kinda neat - a lot of natural light - inside - and clean - but there are definitely other burger joints I prefer. Over-salted patties, a not so large fries, and parking issues keep me driving right by next time. read more

A very simple decorated restaurant with a simple menu. The service was friendly and very eager to push some featuring items from the menu. The food was okay, it seemed like it had very small pieces of diced onions within the meat patty. The bun was toasted and tasted buttery. The fries were your regular crinkle fries. But the orange dreamsicle shake was spot on and was nostalgic. When you order one of the combos I recommend you upgrade your drink to a shake, it will be well worth it! read more

(02.01.26) Been a minute since I've had any complaints at this location it has improved a lot but today just some minor issues. Drive thru young lady sounded impatient and rushing. I work with fast food and if someone isn't having a good day or something occurs in one's life then have someone else take over. Ordered 2 meals with other sides and shakes but didn't receive the fries for our Bates special and Working Man meal. Hoping for the next visit to not have these issues repeated. read more

It was good fast food. The burger was good, hot and fresh and fries were good along with the sweet tea. The prices were good. The service of food came out fast, hot and fresh. The place was nice and clean and crowded and there was ample room in the parking lot. I will try a milkshake next time although they are non diary made w powder and water i want to see what they are like. We had no complaints. The only reason not 5 stars is that i keep my 5 star reviews to my top 3 burger joints but those are more expensive. read more

Tried them 5 x now just in case I missed something. Overall today was over salted massively. In the past it's been dry buns, old patty, flavorless overall! Not to mention over priced! $9 for a double cheeseburger is insane considering in n out is cheaper and much much much much better. I guess maybe San Antonio people don't know what a good burger is...hence this place is thriving here. I'm done never again read more

I'm a huge fan of BB, but not the particular girl cleaning the inside right now. The booths are filthy. I did mention she may want to clean them while she's slowly cleaning all the tables that were dirty. They were all dirty and only had 3 tables full. I carry my own antibacterial wipes and cleaned my own. Anyway, she's sweeping and mopping, but not moving the chairs. She also doesn't wipe the chairs or booths down. "We do that when we close." She said. I was a manager at restaurants before, and when I or any of my staff cleaned the tables off, they would wipe down the chairs and / or booths. I don't get it. It didn't affect my food, I just think she should clean better, especially if a customer points it out. read more

This is a decent burger place, and I'm all for supporting local businesses. I will say that it's a tad better than the nationwide chains, and it's price-competitive ($10.16 for the Working Man double-patty Combo as of May 2023). Hamburger's the typical fast-food patty made better with a second one, above-average bun, decent toppings. Crinkle-cut fries are good and would have been excellent had they been more than barely warm. I was there at ~11am. Not only was there no one at the front counter or the drive-thru position, whoever was staffing was having a good old time yakking away back in the kitchen. I waited a couple minutes before leaning over the counter and going, 'Hello?'. A young lady came out and gave me the old stink-eye for interrupting the revival in the back. She did get my order correct and out promptly, so there's that. This place scores a 3 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either. read more

I had a Bacon Cheeseburger with mustard and extra pickles - It's an alright burger at best. The krinkle fries were very good. I wish they had hot sauce in packets to add to the ketchup. The fries were hot and the burger was fresh as well, but it's just another burger. Why minus 3 stars ?? Alright at best burger, and a filthy dining and drink area. There were a few tables opened but not clean. They need someone tending to the dining area tables, chairs, and floor. My coworker and I sat at the bar along the window. I saw a roll of paper towels and some cleaner sitting there so I cleaned a spot for us. I as the customer shouldn't have to do that. Will I return ?? More than likely I will not. read more

The burgers are good, but probably my least favorite item on the menu. The fries are incredibly crispy and hot every single time and the Neapolitan shake is amazing. I'm just trying to wonder what's the hype all about. The burger was just ok. The burger was made wrong with Bacon and not cheese but I didn't want to make a fuss and change it. It tasted and looked like a sad Whataburger. The fries were better than in and out but for the most part just ordinary. The shakes looked good but I didn't have one. The place was dirty and it seemed to be unorganized. There are way too many burger places to make this a go to place.
