Im not a regular here, but I've been a couple of times. This last time I was there I was a bit disappointed about a couple of things. 1 burger, 1 little burger, a soft drink and small fries plus tip came up to $40, which is a bit higher than usual for fast food. The buns were cold and the fries had too much seasoning. We got the burgers 'all the way', and the buns got soggy and couldn't hold the burger. Portions are very generous, service was ok and the place could use some cleaning. Plenty of available tables but all of them were sticky. This experience makes me feel like I'm not coming back to this location, since there are plenty of local joints with fresh burgers and better prices. read more

If I could give this place negative reviews just based off of customer service I would give them -5 stars. 1st and foremost no apologies are said to customers who don't carry cash, I asked if I can place my order and run to the atm since I drove 45 minutes to this location and the employee said it will confuse him and he can't do multiple things at once (hence bad multi tasker). When I return with cash because I had to inconveniently run to the atm the same employee mouths to the new employee at the register as I walk in, "here he goes again". The new employee didn't even say hi, he just said "I just got in". The level of customer service and professionalism has eluded this location. Not to mention they didn't give me a receipt and they made my order incorrect. The best part was my ice was dirty as if they never cleaned the machine. By far my favorite place to get a cheeseburger. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it in my opinion.

I wish Yelp allowed 1/2 stars b/c this place truly is a 4.5 star experience. Every visit I've made has been welcomed with a friendly and engaging staff that kicks the trip off with the perfect start. Head to the counter and customize the heck out of the burger of your choice. As others have warned the portions are HUGE: a regular burger is double patty, a small is a single patty. Their veggie sandwich is your choice from their veggie toppings, they don't have a formal veggie patty and that is in no way a complaint. I love coming here for their veggie sandwich with cheese and loading that sucker up in a variety of ways that always include their fresh and spicy jalapenos (my most recent trip I added relish and really enjoyed it). When it comes to the fries they are always fresh and super hot from the fryer, and while they offer Cajun fries, I always opt for the original, for some reason I'm just not a fan of the Cajun style. A small fry can feed two to three folks easily but if that's not your thing they do offer complementary peanuts while you wait for your amazing food to be made. So far as drinks they do have one of the super cool ultra customizable Coke machines so have fun mixing it up and coming up with all sorts of flavor combos. Having our office over in the Quarry area, I'm glad that Five Guy is there with all of their options so I never have to worry about getting burnt out, eating the same thing over and over again. read more

Five Guys boasts Little Burgers (single patties), Normal Burgers (two patties), fries (regular or Cajun), and hot dogs too. A sign lets customers know that the potatoes are cooked in 100% peanut oil, so I can at least pretend to feel slightly healthy. If you are a fan of burger toppings, this is your place! You can choose the basics, like tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and mustard, but if you want to mix it up, they have grilled mushrooms, jalapeno, and A-1 for no added cost. No added cost, I say! That's terrific, folks. Five Guys has a simple 50's feel, sporting checkered red and white walls and an ample amount of plain tables. It's no wonder so many tables are required... the line gets long quickly! But the service is excellent, with a friendly lady taking our order as if she truly cares what topping we get on our Little Cheeseburgers. Our order, consisting of two burgers, fries and a soft drink, comes to just under $14. Nice. The one downfall for the burgers and fries could be that they are pretty darn messy. But, in my humble opinion, the mess just makes the experience that much more tactile. If you want to keep a little less messy, simply use the foil wrapping they provide to wrap up the bottom half of the burger. Free peanuts add to the fun, the setting is casual and relaxed, and you can sit contentedly eating your Cajun fries (did I mention that they are amazing?) listening to classics like Tom Petty and Def Leopard. Unfortunately, Five Guys does bring out the gluttony and greed in me: I can shove down the last bite of my burger! Just one more fry! It's mine, all mine! These guys do burgers, and fries. That's it. Want something else? Go eat somewhere else. But, they do what they do well. You know that you aren't getting some frozen french fries, or stuff from a box. They have their potato boxes out in the dining area so you can inspect your spuds. I think it's great that they offer free peanuts in the dining room. I'm not sure if you're supposed to throw your shells on the floor or not. I tend to make a mess anyways, so I don't feel bad about it. I think I would avoid this place if I was allergic to peanuts. Their menu is pretty bare-bones. Hamburger, cheeseburger, fries. They might offer hotdogs too, but don't get your hopes up. The burgers are decent. They flavor their patties well. Not much in the way of condiments. The prices are a bit steep for what you get, but you won't walk away hungry on account of all the peanuts you can eat. read more

I know Five Guys is well known, but I've never tried it out until today. I'm a pizza over burger type of girl so it's rare to come to a burger spot. While other ladies went to the salata across the street I chose to try it out! The ambiance reminds me of In-N-Out with the old fashion red and white look. Immediately I see burger options, hot dogs, sides, and milk shakes. There's a free topping option for burgers that you can add all if wanted with no charge. This also applies with the milkshakes. Add ons are not charged at all and you can get as many as you want! I was in a shake mood so I ordered mine simply with just Oreo cookie crumbles, but my coworker had Oreos, salted caramel, and peanut butter. It's kind of sad to see all the calories on the menu because this led me to choose a grilled cheese sandwich instead of a bacon hotdog for sure. Had to make sure I chose something lower in calories since I was getting a shake! The grilled cheese was delicious! I love the type of cheddar they use because it's thick and well melted. The Oreo crumble milkshake was amazing! Not as thick but delicious enough to be finished up fast. I will come back to try the burgers. The menu is a little confusing even though there are so few choices. The "little" burger is not little. It is average and for both my husband and I, enough. It is just one meat patty instead of two. Yep, the burgers are messy as other reviewers have said, but I think they are messy because the orderer gets giddy over the free topping choices. The mess is worth the extra napkin. Speaking of mess, the inside of this place is not clean enough. Perhaps it's the peanuts or the potatoes stacked around the room, but I don't like the overt red and white tile mixed with dirty. Being from Cali I'm a huge fan of In & Out so when I got to Texas everyone raved about Five Guys so I had to try it. It's good. I'll give it that, but I still prefer In & Out. Now before anyone starts hatin'g let start off by saying I would still eat here. They give free peanuts and have hot dogs as well as burgers. They pack mushrooms and pickles into their burger and it comes with 2 patties instead of one. It's about 6 bucks for a burger but it's quite big. You can also get cajun style fries, though I wasn't a huge fan of their fries. I'm only giving it 4 stars because I didn't expect it to be so expensive for a combo meal. One of the employees made a face and sound like "I'm glad I'm not waiting on him" and then the guy that handed me my order didn't say thank you. My husband and I got a late lunch to go. It's been a long while since we have eaten at Five Guys and I think that my husband was excited because I mentioned Freddy's and Chris Madrid's and he kept saying FiveGuys. I wasn't really hungry and I would have preferred something more lite but it was his choice. My stomach has been hurting since an unfortunate lunch at KFC yesterday. I ordered the bacon burger with absolutely nothing on it. Meat and bread. My better ordering half gets the bacon double cheeseburger with pretty much everything on it and regular fries. We get this to go because I'm not feeling too well and we have something to go to later and I wanted to rest. We arrived home and dig in as soon as we sit down at our table. Fries were warm and our burgers feel pretty sizable. Even mine which is a "little" burger. Single patty with bacon. It's meaty and delicious. I usually get it fully loaded but I didn't think that my stomach could have handled it this time. The fries should have been hotter. We don't live too far from the Quarry location so I think they should have been a little more hotter. Some of the fries were too hard but that probably happens when they cool down. My husband ate them all up though so I guess he didn't have a problem with them. Five Guys makes an awesome burger and they're fries are the best in the industry when they are hot. When a burger has the ability to make your mouth water by just simply thinking about it -- then I think it deserves 4 stars! Five Guys Burgers is the epitome of how a burger should be and for that reason, it is one of my favorite go-to burger joints. The menu is pretty straightforward. The 'burgers' are always served with 2 patties while the 'little' burgers are served with one. To enhance your experience, I recommend beefing it and getting the regular with two juicy, mouth-watering patties. Now onto the favorite part about this place -- unlimited toppings. I try not to over do it, but sometimes, I just can't help it. Of course, I get the works - mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles. But then, I add the grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, green peppers, and finally to tie everything together, the barbecue sauce. Yes, it may be greasy and yes it may get messy, but who cares when the burger is bursting with layers and layers of flavor. The downside about this place are the fries. I'm not a fan of the fries here like I am of the burger so sometimes I wish they offered onion rings. It's a great place to hang out and catch up with friends. The price is reasonable and comes with very generous portions. Great, after writing this review, I am now craving a burger...from Five Guys.
