Texas Style Spud Original
Angel S.

I usually love our experiences at Jason's but today was a little off. I tried something new, the Texas Spud. My wife loved her CB Ranch Spud so k thought I'd give one a try. Meh. The BBQ sauce overpowered everything and there was just too much of it. The spud only had a few ingredients and could use a few more to round out the flavor profile. Maybe some chives, drizzled ranch, fried onions. Something. All it had now is the BBQ Beef and Cheese. The bad part of the visit though was my son's order. He LOVES the kid turkey sliders. Two bites in he finds plastic in his food. Fine. I tell them and they remake the sandwich. The problem was...the second sandwich ALSO had plastic. Like huh??? We then asked for a plain pasta just so we didn't have to do this a third time. Never offered to take it off the check or any real apology. Oh well, I will be taking my business elsewhere or at least to a different location.

My first time here. I didn't know what to expect... but walking in, it's more than just a deli! There's an all you can eat salad bar and they also serve spuds, soups, salads, pastas, muffulettas, bowls, and a variety of sandwiches. Large walk up order counter and the food is delivered to your table when ready. We ordered the NY Yankee and Rueben the Great with pastrami. Definitely no skimp on the meats! The Yankee was deelish. The Rueben was good, but I didn't taste much of the kraut or the thousand island. In fact they forgot to take the cheese off and I believe they removed the dressing! We got some mustard and I slathered it all over my bread instead. Both sandwiches came with chips. I do love how the meats are nice and lean, no added fats or overly salted. Sandwiches were reasonably priced too , $13-$14 They have a nice fountain/tea self serve drink area. I enjoyed the caffeine free hibiscus tea. Friendly service, reasonably priced, and good food. My Rueben just needed a little flavor tweak with sauce.

Anytime you go there will be fresh ingredients. Many menu items to choose from. Sandwiches, pasta, salad bar to salad bowls. They have a seperate entrance and parking for to go orders. Very much a place you meet with friends or coworkers.

I don't think the photo needs an explanation

There was a cockroach in the food will never order from here again. Outrage at the poor quality of cleanliness would be an understatement

Haven't been here in a very long time. The food was fresh and very tasty. The cashier was super friendly and helpful in helping us decide on the menu. The place was clean just a little noisy but probably because kids were out of school and bottled up energy was being released. Lol I would definitely try this place again

I have been to Jason's deli and I really like their sandwiches and soup combos. They have a great variety of sandwiches to try but recently I have re discovered their salad bar and I am obsessed. Since reopening their salad bar after Covid, it has drawn my attention so I gave it a try and now I can't stop going back. The variety and freshness of the lettuce and vegetables side salads and toppings is so extensive. I think I saw the bar being restocked and freshened up two times while I was there. This salad bar reminds me of the salad bars of days gone by that patrons could fill up on!

The 2 words have evolved into so much more, one would even dare to say it's even evolved into a belief or fantasy. The environment not only leaves a warm feeling but becomes a beacon! Cheba hut is what lamps are to moths, a light house to a sailor in a storm, a horse to a cowboy, a home run to a baseball player, a touchdown to tom Brady, a god to an atheist, a candle light in the darkness that is life. The staff and restaurant itself deserves so much more praise for the amazing and clean experience provided. If there was one word to describe Cheba hut, it would and could only be........ utopia. I'm not sure what happened however, there is ONE thin slice of turkey meat, and a CRAP TON, of lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickle and sauce, and an extremely thin sliced piece of bacon. My sandwich is supposed to be a Turkey Sandwich however, it's more so vegetables, with the slice of turkey being an afterthought. Being that each sandwich costs a little over $11, I was highly disappointed... If I wanted a veggie sandwich, I would have ordered one, being that the options were available. It's a one and done for me... sadly We really wanted something other than, Jersey Mikes... I digress

After they placed their order I stepped up and placed my order for a number four Lil John no tomatoes and cheese. No drinks, no chips. I stepped back and noticed all of the orders pending. So right away I know it's going to be a wait. Soon after I placed my order, a mom and her little girl come in and place an order. I noticed a lot of people walking in who had placed mobile orders. When the orders start to be completed, the family of three go up and grab their lunch. Then the staff member calls a number four "something something something"couldn't hear him. A woman quickly gets up, grabs the sandwich and walks out, crumbling up the receipt, and not even looking at it. I walk up to the counter and I ask what was that order? He said oh, it's already been picked up. I had a sinking feeling it was my order but OK. Next the lady and her daughter get called for their lunch. They walk up there pick up their lunch and walk away. I look at the counter where they're preparing the sandwiches and there's no little John sandwich being made. I walk up and ask the gentleman again about my sandwich. He asks me my name. I tell him and he says, "could it be under another name?" I said absolutely not. He asked me how I placed my order. Was it an online order? I said no, I walked in after that family placed my order and then the little girl and the mother came after me. This means to me that he doesn't have my order or it means that they're not making the orders as they come in. The female staff member said, we're really busy; not an apology for getting the orders mixed up. My order wasn't complicated. It was a single small sandwich. If they were so busy, why didn't they have more people out there making sandwiches? I noticed Mr. Order-taker heading to the back after every order. Maybe he's taking lunch, but when you're that busy in the food industry shouldn't lunch wait until after the rush? They finally made "my" sandwich. After leaving, I spotted the receipt in the bag. I noticed the last 4 of the Visa card was not mine. I also noticed this person's order while similar to mine, had no mayo. It was placed much later than my order according to my bank info. Proving my theory. I called the store and spoke with the woman who claimed to be the manager. I recognized her voice (the one that said they were really busy). I explained everything I had discovered and that I understood mistakes happen, but not a single one of them apologized. She did finally apologize and offered to credit me for the sandwich, but that wasn't why I called. It was because of the way I was treated. I hope things change. I will also say, the sandwich was not worth the wait. I won't be going back to that location if I can help it.

I was sent the pre-order menu which included Swiss and Mushroom Sourdough and it appeared that the specialized Sourdough loaves change daily. The menu also includes pastries, pizza, pretzels, cookies, and foccacia bread, depending on the day. The bakery is only open Wednesday- Saturday from 9am-2pm. We arrived early on a Saturday and there was a bit of a line outside. The bakery is small, so only a couple of prople can enter at a time. I picked up my pre order of regular Sourdough and also added two Sourdough Pretzels. Remember to ask them to slice the bread. It comes unsliced. Service was friendly and fast. The bread was delicious with a soft center and a chewy crust. The Pretzels were a bit too salty. But, they were tasty and they tasted so good toasted the next day. A must visit if you're in the area.

The line moves pretty quickly. As for the bread, oh my goodness! Everything we tried was amazing. The sourdough loaf was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cinnamon roll was sweet and decadent. The croissant was the perfect balance of citrus and chocolate and not too sweet. I can't recall what the savory bread was called but it had ham and cheese and was SO GOOD. I would recommend following the business on Facebook or Instagram as they post their weekly/daily menus. We will definitely be stopping by again.
