Now that they have toasted sandwiches, they have upped their game. They had always had fresh sandwiches and services is very fast.

I walked into this Jimmy John's location. I noticed a family of three going in ahead of me--two adult males and a female. After they placed their order I stepped up and placed my order for a number four Lil John no tomatoes and cheese. No drinks, no chips. I stepped back and noticed all of the orders pending. So right away I know it's going to be a wait. Soon after I placed my order, a mom and her little girl come in and place an order. I noticed a lot of people walking in who had placed mobile orders. When the orders start to be completed, the family of three go up and grab their lunch. Then the staff member calls a number four "something something something"couldn't hear him. A woman quickly gets up, grabs the sandwich and walks out, crumbling up the receipt, and not even looking at it. I walk up to the counter and I ask what was that order? He said oh, it's already been picked up. I had a sinking feeling it was my order but OK. Next the lady and her daughter get called for their lunch. They walk up there pick up their lunch and walk away. I look at the counter where they're preparing the sandwiches and there's no little John sandwich being made. I walk up and ask the gentleman again about my sandwich. He asks me my name. I tell him and he says, "could it be under another name?" I said absolutely not. He asked me how I placed my order. Was it an online order? I said no, I walked in after that family placed my order and then the little girl and the mother came after me. This means to me that he doesn't have my order or it means that they're not making the orders as they come in. The female staff member said, we're really busy; not an apology for getting the orders mixed up. My order wasn't complicated. It was a single small sandwich. If they were so busy, why didn't they have more people out there making sandwiches? I noticed Mr. Order-taker heading to the back after every order. Maybe he's taking lunch, but when you're that busy in the food industry shouldn't lunch wait until after the rush? They finally made "my" sandwich. After leaving, I spotted the receipt in the bag. I noticed the last 4 of the Visa card was not mine. I also noticed this person's order while similar to mine, had no mayo. It was placed much later than my order according to my bank info. Proving my theory. I called the store and spoke with the woman who claimed to be the manager. I recognized her voice (the one that said they were really busy). I explained everything I had discovered and that I understood mistakes happen, but not a single one of them apologized. She did finally apologize and offered to credit me for the sandwich, but that wasn't why I called. It was because of the way I was treated. I hope things change. I will also say, the sandwich was not worth the wait. I won't be going back to that location if I can help it. read more

Stopped by for lunch and ordered a Turkey Unwich and Greek Cucumber salad. Worst I've ever had. The lettuce was covered with brown veins (I threw it away for fear of getting sick) and the Cucumbers in the salad looked old. I ended up throwing that away too. Money spent totally went down the drain. Customer Service was not very welcoming. The soda fountain was filthy and not cleaned. Will not be returning to this location. read more

Went here the other night with my girlfriend because we love sub sandwiches (firehouse and subway to be specific) but we wanted to try something new. I had never eaten at Jimmy John's before and neither did she...and we will never eat there again! The chips were all Jimmy John's branded which is fine there were okay I guess, but the combo I ordered along with her sandwhich came out to about $30 bucks. At that price I could've gone to eat a nice dinner elsewhere. I thought maybe the food will justify the price but haha NOPE. Sandwhich bread felt like rubber and that probably was the saddest sub sandwich I've ever seen or eaten. Not to mention the staff was not really too friendly either. So, at least this time the AC works and after a year they have ice but the last few times we have gone in it's dead, but they can't seem to get a sandwich right. As we walked in during our lunch hour to pick up some sandwiches the manager rushes out upset, screaming at some of his employees stating he needs them inside now. Very bad experience here. I walked in and ordered two sandwiches togo. I was charged too much and realized it while waiting. Cashier wasn't sure how to fix it some other person came and tried to fix it. I kept waiting for the sandwich's to come out and kept seeing the employees take out stuff for curbside I guess. I had been there for about 30 minutes. Then the guy making the sandwiches came over and told me it would be about 15 more minutes, the bread just came out of the oven and we just put it in the refrigerator to cool. Little pricey when you make it a combo but that's why I only go here to treat myself to what I would call a "treat yourself sandwich" when you know you can make it yourself but you just don't want to. I've been a fan of Jimmy John's for a couple of years now and I was really excited to see this location open at Alamo Ranch. I'm a big fan of their french bread! I usually like my sandwiches toasted but Jimmy John's bread is so good that it doesn't need to be toasted haha. I also like that you can extra toppings like cucumbers, hot peppers and mustard for free. Went here today with my boyfriend to grab a quick lunch. The staff were friendly, courteous and fast. I ordered the #4 Turkey Tom and my boyfriend had the JJ Gargantuan (roast beef, turkey, ham, salami, capicola, provolone). We ordered sandwiches last Sat for pick up. Got our sandwiches home and the bread was rock hard. My husband called and drive back there to get remade sandwiches. He brought back the old ones but the manager couldn't have cared less about it. No apology even though my husband had to drive back. Not a lot of sandwich toppings offered outside the standard fare: Lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, cucumber, sprouts, hot peppers.
