First time having these subs, amazing! Bread is soft and tasty. I had the spicy grilled chicken one, it definitely had a kick! There's also a hot sauce bar where you can add even more spice, yep I did it. It's amazing! Store is clean and tidy. Quick service, efficient and fast. The subs come in 3 different sizes, small was a great portion for me. Also has fountain drinks and chips as sides. Will be back to try the other flavors! read more

Can't speak to the food but I just walked into the store to order and 3 employees behind the counter. One guy tried to help me then some old lady told him he can't help me lmao so I thanked them for the help and left.. absolutely insane how places like this stay in business...I called to ask maybe I'm missing something and apparently the guy who tried to help was the manager and the lady who told him not to help is also a manager lmao this place is cooked read more

Sub was ok at best. Had the meatball. Ordered a large but the "accidentally" made me a medium and then a small to make up for the mistake. Good effort but annoying. Looks like the military discount policy is now only in uniform. I guess veterans, retired, and off duty doesn't get anything. Not a good look for this business. read more

We had barely walked in and heading to the register when the manager, who was making sandwiches, very rudely yelled at us "are you going to place an order?" over the girl working the register. No hello, no welcome, just that. We were surprised because, well why does one walk into a restaurant? He then rudely said "there's a 30 minute wait, we have 20 subs in front of you". We left, mainly because of how rude we were treated. We hadn't been there in a while, since the last time they made one of our subs wrong. When we brought this to their attention, the worker was obviously not pleased. We had wanted to give them another try, but with the manager's tone and attitude today, we will not be returning. read more

Just so you know we close in 8 min so your order is to go. That is how I was greeting when visiting this location. Sign next to the door does clearly mark the opening and closing times "Daily 10:30 am-9:00 pm"". I get you have to close, but that really puts a sour flavor on this visit. I've got to say though the sandwiches were still great they didn't seem to compromise read more

I've tried this location a couple of times now. Both times have been enjoyable. I picked up my food but the dining area is spacious, inviting, and clean! On my most recent visit, I ordered the veggie sandwich. I liked the taste and combination of veggies in the sandwich. I will continue to visit this location when I want something other than Subway. read more

Edgar my love, what can I say? I would ask you to marry me but I'm bat shit crazy and you are young & kind and life has clearly not screwed you yet; there is the whole distance issue as well. But I digress. THANK YOU For being so KIND, PROFESSIONAL and FRIENDLY when we visited you 2x during my trip to TX. It meant so much to Ani & I that you took the time to explain your sandwich making process to us since we looked like deer in headlights upon entering. BEST.VEGGIE.SANDWHICH.E.V.E.R. This firehouse subs is probably the best sandwich shop you can go to. Every single one of the workers are always friendly, polite, and fast! I will say, they have some of the best customer service I've seen! Whenever I order on the app, it is always ready on time and there are no issues. Even with Covid-19, they had social distancing and marked areas to make sure everyone stays safe and distanced. Note: I love the hot sauces they have to accompany your sandwich, and was bummed they didn't have the self service area of hot sauces because of Covid-19. BUT I found out recently that they still have the hot sauces! Now they're behind the counter so people don't touch them, so you do have to ask. So if you're a fan of the hot sauces (like myself who loves level 9-10), don't forget to ask nicely and they'll give you some! read more

Big volume to this place, felt spacious when I walked in and stayed that way while I dined in. Definitely the biggest location I have visited. But it was kind of humid inside and smelled vaguely of wet dog. I get the impression alot of orders are take out. There were alot of flies, the humidity doesn't help and people constantly opening the door. The guys that were working today made a good first impression. The name on the receipt is Ross-Michael. So towards the end of my meal, which was good, this lady walks in with her dog all casual but clearly hoping for attention. I think it was a service dog for one of those PTSD situations you hear about. Anyway, nobody was giving her attention so she walked out. read more

I just had such a great experience at this location right now. There were only three employees working and they were all so kind. The restaurant was full of customers and they still got everyones food out fast. Also, this is the best sandwich I've ever had. Y'all are amazing!!! read more

I hadn't been here in years, I had to run an errand during lunch and this was next door so I stopped. The decor is exactly what you'd expect from a firefighter owned chain. The sub was cooked/toasted to perfection. The flavor was great and fresh. The selection of sandwiches is very plentiful. I'll be back soon to try another sandwich. read more

Whoever just made my to-go order of sandwiches put a disgusting absurd amount of mayonnaise on the Tuna and H&L. I couldnt even eat the tuna. Great subs! Always loaded with a LOT of super fresh toppings and served warm, toasty and soft. I love that they have Miss Vickie's potato chips. They also have the Coke machine with all the flavors which is a treat :) Would be five stars if they were a bit quicker. It usually takes at least 15 minutes to get a sub when no one else is in the place. Wayyy longer when there's a line. read more

Excellent subs! They do allow dine-in which was nice but there wasn't anyone dining in (COVID). I ordered the Hook and Ladder sandwich with a level 5 hot sauce (it was delicious). My brother ordered the Engineer which was warm and flavorful. They have excellent customer service which made the experience more enjoyable. We'll be coming back! read more

By far my favorite sandwich place I love firehouse subs so much they never disappoint. I get my favorite turkey bacon ranch every time well worth it. Service is always nice. There's never instance where somebody isn't say. Something nice to me when I enter a store or order food yeah because it's like any other sandwich shop either cop, a squat, and eat your food or take it to go if you haven't tried a turkey bacon ranch yet I suggest you do it is definitely worth it read more

I got to Firehouse on Bandera & 1604 only to realize I didn't have my wallet. I called my wife to have her call the order in and pay over the phone. They couldn't accept over the phone payments. The manager on duty, I really wish I had gotten his name, was willing to let me have the sandwiches without payment as long as I brought the payment the next day. It wasn't necessary... my wife sent me her card information and I paid manually. Special thanks to the manager and a very friendly staff. Oh, and the sandwiches were awesome too! read more

This Owner/manager Tj or Cj has the worse customer service and speaks to his employees like garbage!!!!! I went in yesterday and placed an order. One sandwich was correct the other was not, so I called and spoke to a gentleman explained the situation and was told to go back to get it corrected. I could not go back because my lunch was over so I asked to go the following day, So I send my daughter to pick up the following day. My daughter gets there and explained to them what happened, I hear a gentleman aggressively speaking in the background telling my daughter he was only going to make the small sandwich not the one I originally had spoke to gentlemen the day before about. He May have confused me with another customer because after I called him he stated I dealt with him directly yesterday clearly it was a young lady at register. He said is was lunch hour and they were busy and hung up on me. Who does that? What a waste of time!! Just lost a loyal customer. read more

Definitely one of my favorite sandwich places. I always order the steak and cheese on white with no onions and no peppers. This time I also ordered a kids meatball sub so that I could try two different sandwiches. It came with a small soda and a small rice crispy treats.The large sandwich is quite big you could definitely share it. I really appreciated that I could order online and pick up at curbside. Growing up in a family that is both entrepreneurial and built on more than 200 years of firefighting heritage, it seems we were destined to start Firehouse Subs. Of course we tried other things along the way to our American dream, but everything we experienced on our path led us to Firehouse Subs. Over 20 years after opening the first restaurant, with over 1,100 Firehouse Subs restaurants, we're convinced we're doing a few things right. I can't recall what the savory bread was called but it had ham and cheese and was SO GOOD. I would recommend following the business on Facebook or Instagram as they post their weekly/daily menus. We will definitely be stopping by again.

The cheesy tots were not that cheesy but the fries were delicious and everybody enjoyed their food. It was fresh tasty not overly salted. Service was great and they have an outdoor dining area and it was sunny and breezy almost a touch too cold, but it was too beautiful of a day to be indoors. Lots of parents with infants. They had some shot specials for Saint Paddy's day seven dollar Jamison shots no pickle backs, they have pineapple or orange juice shots to chase it. I wish they had a drive-through so I can try all their breakfast burritos in the morning. I just can't get motivated sometimes. Burgers have Hawaiian rolls as buns I like that because it kind of teases the savory with the sweet. Only drawback is the pricing I fear for the want to be regulars wanting to enjoy the drafts and tater tots
