Love the customer service here, since it's our first time the young gentleman patiently explained how ordering works. Dumb me the process is clearly right under my nose clearly printed just in front of the ordering counter. But this sandwich artist was patient enough to still explain how ordering works. The place is small but well-kept and feels cozy at the same time. Love my tuna sandwich and the chicken pot pie soup. It's not extremely salty and just the right amount of creaminess, delicious. Although I miss the options of different type of bread from subway, their sandwich here is delicious. My cousin love his meatball sandwich, reminds him of subway's but he said this is way better. I just visited the Rim store at 17711 IH 10 West Unit 107 San Antonio, TX 78257 United States location. We left immediately without ordering anything because the employee who was taking our order started off the conversation by insulting my husband. He was a bald man who appeared very angry. He asked if my husband spoke english and after I said yes he proceeded by asking me to translate "Your hat is ugly, I'm a Giants fan." My husband was wearing an LA Dodger's hat at the time. Why should something a customer is wearing have anything to do with ordering a sandwich? After we left, I spoke to the manager at the store over the phone. He said it was just a friendly conversation about sports and that he would speak to the employee about his actions whilst protecting the employee. I believe the employee should be fired and the manager needs to be a disciplinary review. After today we are never coming back to Potbelly. I know what a friendly conversation is and this was nothing close to it. A business should never insult its customers. read more

I had the Wreck which is a hot sandwich with several different meats. Its toasted and you can chose your topping from mayo and mustard to peppers, italian seasoning and oil and more... I had a cup of potato soup with my sandwich and a bag of chocolate chip cookies for dessert. I had the regular sized sandwich but a small and larger version are offered. So, I guess this one is on me, but idk how to feel. Let's set the scene: the last time I was here a was more than half my current age and my father was beside me to assist me. I wasn't a shy kid, but instead a seen and not heard if it was just adults. I didn't retain any of that information from 11 years ago apparently so instead of getting a sandwich I enjoyed, I got, well, a sandwich. And honestly, for the price, I was expecting it to be better. For reference, I got the pizza melt but didn't realize I could add lettuce and tomatoes and stuff. That probably would've made the sandwich better, but I don't think that would've changed the fact that it was burnt. I also don't understand the aesthetic of the store, but that's neither here nor there. I'll end with this: the customer service could've been better. I felt too scared to ask question because the way I was spoken to felt condescending and like I was being rushed. Nobody was outright mean to me, but the attitude was there and it was off putting. I understand that everyone has their days, it's just a little disappointing because not only did I not get what I actually came here for (we were gonna have a talk about soup) but I barely got something appetizing. I really get excited over stumbling across places because I'm really glad we found this place. I've been over by the rim a million times but sadly never even knew this place existed. The food is really good, I feel like it's hard to be a better than average sandwich but this place did a sandwich justice. The hot peppers are addicting, I actually wish I got more on my sandwich. Fear not though, you can buy their hot peppers if you want to, and I probably will. Mac and cheese was really good, it was admittedly a little watery but that could be overlooked by the taste. Chicken pot pie soup was surprisingly really good. I didn't have high hopes for it honestly and got it just because it would be out of my norm and holy cow, it was one of my favorite things. As far as the milkshakes go, they're okay. I'm not a huge milkshake fan but my husband didn't want to get one alone so I chose strawberry. It didn't have that nasty fake strawberry taste which is a plus. He loved the milkshake though and said it was one of the best he's had. Only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of five is because the guy who checked us out made us pretty uncomfortable. It was like we were a bother, he was irritated, and spoke to us like we were stupid. He rolled his eyes and huffed a couple times when I asked for a bag to put our food in. They were kind and patient and took the time to listen through the masks of me and my kids. I also observed the staff getting along and laughing and talking as they worked to keep the restaurant mopped and counters clean. It was refreshing to be eating inside an establishment these days where the employees seem to want to be there and whom enjoy their work. Well done management and team! The app needs a lot of work. Trying to put an order together was tedious because the app is plagued with network errors. Every time I tried to submit an order, I would get an error message (see pic) and yet I ended up getting charged twice because even though it said the order could not be completed, I got a receipt later on after I had already driven to the restaurant and placed the order inside (kind of defeats the whole purpose of having an app to order ahead). The price was extremely high! $18 for a turkey club with light turkey, chili Mac and cheese and a drink! $6.10 for an (approx.) 10 ounce bowl of anything is exorbitant and it's $6.10 whether you get no toppings or up to two toppings which also makes no sense. PS: I tried the Oreo milkshake on the last visit and it was also good -- I say this because a lot of places offer milkshakes and they're really just ice cream in a cup and trying to suck it up thru a straw you're going to mess around and end up light headed (Sonic, I'm looking at you!). read more

The interior is a little small but there are several tables on the patio, weather permitting. Although this is primarily a sandwich shop, there are a variety of options including salads, soup, chili, and mac n cheese. The sandwiches are toasted and served warm. The bread is fresh and has a great flavor. I tried the grilled chicken and cheddar sandwich on this visit. The original size is probably equivalent to a six inch sandwich. The chicken was a thicker carved style versus your typical deli meat and the cheddar cheese really stood out on this sandwich. I see many more visits to Potbelly in my future! read more
