The last few times I've been the drive through has been MUCH friendlier. And no mistakes in my orders. Still obsessed with the bread. And the corn nuggets. read more

Very clean food. Tasty pimento chicken sandwich. It is out of this world! Great neighborhood and location

Golden Chick gets left out when talking about chicken options thanks to more famous names. However, this is as good of chicken as any other fast food option! Their tenders really shine in that they're juicy, crispy, and we'll spiced if you get the spicy version - maybe too spiced. The chicken is all hand breaded and complimented by wonderful sides. Seriously, they serve the best sides and rolls of any chain chicken joint. The rolls are perfectly buttery, the fries are just crisp enough, and even the dirty rice is good. Lunch can get busy here but you'll be waiting in a fast moving line. The interior is clean and spacious. It's an easy place to bring a fried for lunch or grab a quick bite alone. Parking is super easy, and outdoor seating is available. read more

Good service. I only ordered fries. They tasted of rancid oil. Customers know when the cooking oil isn't changed regularly or stored correctly. It's not saving money when you lose customers. Please use clean oil and change it out regularly. read more

Ordered the catfish and shrimp platter. I was disappointed by the portions. The 3 shrimp were the smaller than the size if a quarter, so about 50-60 per pound. The 2 fish filets were 3 inches long. When I bite into one, it was all fried corn mill. I peeled back the crust. The catfish was about 2 inches long and paper thin. Having owned a catfish farm, I estimate there was less than an ounce of catfish between the 2 filets. I followed the link on the receipt and reported my concern. I got a call from Miriam. She said she would replace the meal. After confirming when she would be at the store, I planned my return. I called that day to confirm what time she would arrive. I was told 4pm. Showed up at 4. Cashier asked folks in the back if she was in. Someone relied, "no, late again." I waited until 4:30. She hadn't come in yet, so I left. read more

Much better than my first visit. Chicken is crispy well battered good spices. Fast service.

23 Jun 2023 Yum. We've always seen Golden Chick in the small towns leading to the coast, but we never stopped to eat there. Now they got to SA a while back and we still didn't try them. That changed today. We ordered the four piece tender Combo and a three piece chicken combo. Not the spicy versions. Both come with one side and a drink. We both chose fried okra. The okra is quite good. For that matter, the tenders are quite good. Nicely battered and not greasy. Same for the chicken pieces. Also, the plates come with a fresh hot roll. Sweet Hawaiian-like. Really good. The only mishap was there were no forks in the self-serve bins. Of course, when I asked, an employee came out and refilled the bin. They were underneath in a cabinet. If I'd of known... The employees are friendly and helpful. They do a big drive-through, come in and take to-go and curb delivery business. I'm glad we gave them a try. Go there. read more

Excellent location! We got super friendly service, hot fresh food, good portions, in a clean, quiet dining room. We will definitely be back to this location! read more

Food is Excellent! This is my new favorite place to eat! I am not a person who enjoys French fries but Golden Chick has changed my mind! The tenders are delicious, the fries are always crispy, and the dinner rolls are a family favorite. read more

It may have been the best chicken sandwich I've ever had in my life. I thought I got it breaded, but then it looked grilled, but it turns out it was so lightly breaded it was like butter. The dirty rice was perfect, and the coleslaw was absolutely amazing. Good vinegar taste, yet not runny. Absolutely amazing meal. I will be back and 100% recommend. Ordered on DoorDash, and they got it completely right, which is half the battle. Thank you!!!!! read more

Keeping it plain and simple. The tea was sweet! The rolls were hot, fluffy, and buttery! The chicken was hot, fresh, and juicy! I ordered through the Golden Chick app and they had no problem allowing me to eat inside. The service was pleasant and had great interactions with all the employees I came across. Speaking for myself when I say I had a great experience at this location. read more

Food takes forever at this location. Been here for over 30 minutes food quality is only reason it's not a one star

Didn't get my complete order and nobody answers the phone. I ordered and paid for 2 3 pieces of shrimp. My mom enjoyed her 3. My 3 weren't there. read more

The chicken is very tasty for a fast food restaurant. And the one thing that surprised me was the seafood. Very good taste and fresh. Restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly read more

The person taking orders has hickies all over his neck. It took 10 minutes for somebody to come to the counter to take our orders.

The food is amazing, it is even better when it is fresh. Christian took our order and did a excellent job he was very nice and helpful. Overall inside the restaurant is nothing special, but it is still good and usually clean. read more

I purchased the chicken tenders, 4 pieces, with the mac and cheese. The tenders were crunchy where it should be and tender where it should be. Very good! The mac and cheese, was just Mac and cheese. I also ordered the corn nuggets and jalapeño poppers. The corn nuggets were REALLY good and I don't know if any other place where I can buy them. The Jalapeño poopers were nice and spicy! So yummy! read more

Rudy is rude as hell and guards the Zing powder/ketchup like they're his children. I didn't realize the chicken man is allowed to decide exactly how much or how little spice I am allowed to have. Will go to other establishments where my condiments aren't doled out to me 1 package at a time. Shoutout to Rudy, the chicken powder extraordinaire read more

I ordered two orders of 20 shrimp and got a bunch of chicken tenders. When I called to say I wanted the right order or a refund they said: "Sorry we can't help you boss". Excited they opened in my 'hood. Will never order anything from there again. Would give 0 stars if that was an option. I hope whoever got the shrimp enjoys them. The chicken sucks. read more

I halve been going to Military Hwy, Castle Hills, TXlocation almost every week for couple of months. My husband saw advertisements on TV. We love it. Christian, manager, is awesome. The restaurant is so clean and projects a positive, friendly environment. Christian greets me on each visit and double checks my order. The food is absolutely delicious. Thank you for offering the military discount. My husband and I are both retired Air Force. Hats off to Christian. read more

Horrible! Very disappointed with the food. The chicken tasted and looked like it was old, fried too long and slimey. This is a fairly new location and it's gone downhill fast. Definitely all comes down to management. read more

Wicked wings were perfect! Right size. Perfect flavor without messy sauces covering up inferior cooking. I'd put them up against any specialty wing or fried chicken spot I've ever tried. Inside was clean and cool. Service couldn't have been friendlier. My new favorite for spicy wings! read more

If I could give 0 I would, came here while there was no rush at about 8 pm drive thru lady told me to give her a second and proceeded to have me wait for over 20 minutes mind you the only car in the drive thru and of course as soon as I say fuck this I'm not waiting anymore they take the lady's order behind me lmao 10/10 would never recommend read more

Golden Chick - 2 pc chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Castle Hills, Texas

Fast service and great menu options even has a vegetarian menu to substitute if your interested in that.

Food is good. But they are running a special for 9 piece all dark for $13.99 no sides. So I go through the drive thru and get home and realized they charged me $22.99 for the chicken plus extra for the sides. So I thought I would get chicken for $13.99 and expected to pay extra for the sides. So if you go there just order the chicken. Because they won't let you add the sides at regular price on top of the $13.99. They charge you the family meal price. And fast food business bait and switch with prices like their competitors. read more

Went to dine in!!! I want to say that the place is very clean and very good chicken. If you like raising Caines or Busch chicken this place is just like that. They also have Jalapeño poppers and corn nuggets. Will definitely return. read more

Golden Chick - Six piece combo Mac and cheese side - Fast Food Near Me - Castle Hills, Texas

Really Tasty Fried Chicken and fast friendly Service. Also ready to serve. Great atmosphere for lunchtime stop.

Should really think about keeping the lobby open for delivery drivers instead of making wait in long lines.

Believe it or not until today I had never been inside a Golden Chick. I am pleasantly pleased by how open and airy and clean it is in here. The fact that it has roasted chicken and not just fried chicken makes this a new go to place for me. The we'll padded booths another plus. read more

Not bad tonight. Only problem that I could say is that not everyone likes their plain chicken sandwich dripping with globs of honey mustard. I subbed the reg sauce for honey mustard instead. Had to actually remove and throw away the bottom bun because it was totally drenched. Someone is very heavy handed in the back!‍‍ read more

I've been to this location several times but today the cashier Vanessa was extra sweet and offered me both butter and honey for my dozen rolls, which was so fantastic !! Definitely a plus when the cashiers in the drive thru are fast and helpful will be returning to this location again. read more

Wow. So this place definitely doesn't care if they give you the wrong order. We paid $40 bucks for our order and ended up with somebody else's $12 order. We called them to try to straighten out the situation and they stopped answering the phone. This is straight up theft. If this happens to you I recommend calling the police and filing a report because you just got robbed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had a mess up in my order and only received regular tenders instead of half spicy and half regular. When I called to tell them about it they manager didn't offer any resolution to the issue and had nothing to say other than "I'll talk to me team. What do you want me to do about it?" Then my fiancé got on the phone and asked if we could get just the spicy tenders another time not even the whole thing and he hung up on us. Absolutely terrible customer service. I've been a customer here for years but I won't be back that's for sure. read more
