Sourdough Japanese Milk Bread
Mary L.

My first time there. I'm both happy and sad they are as far from me as they are but I will most def go back. Today I wanted to buy more than my reserved loaf of sourdough Japanese milk bread but due to heat and errands I had to refrain. Such a lovely place putting out quality breads and bakery items. And friendly and responsive on or off social media staff.

I recently visited Spread the Loaves and tried both their chocolate chip cookie and pumpkin chocolate chip cookie. The chocolate chip cookie was a classic delight--crispy on the edges, chewy in the middle, and packed with gooey chocolate chips, with icing on top! It was everything a chocolate chip cookie should be. The pumpkin chocolate chip cookie was a pleasant surprise with its perfect blend of warm pumpkin spices and rich chocolate chips. It was soft, flavorful, and just the right amount of sweet. Both cookies were absolutely delicious and made my visit worthwhile. Highly recommend checking them out! The staff were so nice and friendly. I can't wait to go back to try more of their bake goods. The spot is cute and small but plenty of seating outside

Apple cinnamon sourdough

It was my first time visiting this bakery, and it definitely won't be my last! I came to pick up a cinnamon apple sourdough I had pre-ordered online, but ended up leaving with a whole assortment of breads and pastries because everything looked incredible. The staff were so friendly and welcoming! I also learned that they'll share some of their sourdough starter if you bring your own jar -- how cool is that? I really appreciate their easy-to-use online preorder system and how you can check out which flavors are available each day. Highly recommend!

Lemon Blueberry Focaccia

Amazing options! I arrived right before opening and there was a line forming. :-) Such a cute shop and area. The sourdough loaves are fresh and delicious. This time I ordered regular sourdough loaf, cinnamon roll and lemon blueberry focaccia, all were delicious. Arrive early for the best selection. I need to stop by on a Friday for the pizza.

The French toast I made from the chocolate sour dough with plum jam made into a syrup and butter.

Great little place with friendly staff members. We grabbed the last loaf of the day and it was amazing. We will definitely be back.

There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.

The torta was delicious too. Cut in half. I could only eat half after the delicious vegetarian lentil soup and trying the croissant and other pastry. The next day I got the torta with chorizo. Equally delicious. Also got a blueberry bear claw- amazing. I tried the orang blossom pastry/bread too. They also have juices. I got the beet the first day. Perfetto! Will definitely return here.

It is a little on the pricey side, but the lattes and bakery items are really good. They used to have a sugared donut that was my absolute favorite, but unfortunately they no longer carry it. The tortas aren't your typical Mexican torta, but they're still good in their own way. That said, I don't really come here for the main food--I come for the bakery and the café vibe. The salads are also solid if you're looking for something lighter. Service is ok. There's this one guy who usually cleans the tables and he's so friendly. I didn't catch his name but he's on it. I'll Get his name next time im there.
