Just as good as I'd expect. Friendly service. Complicated order, got it right. Open on holidays, these people deserve a raise.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by the cook, who was also the register person. She asked me what I wanted to order. I told her the burger. She pulled a fresh patty off the grill and said she was cooking the fried. I saw her lower the fresh fries into oil, and a few minutes later, they were good to go. I had ordered the small fries, thinking she would put them on my tray. She put the fries in a bin and said, "Grab as much as you want, and if we run out, I have more read. What! OK! I took a bit out of the burger, and I could taste that it was a fresh burger, and it was smokey. She did not skimp in the cheese loaded the bad boy up! Well, not what it used to be and this just makes me sad. My son needed to run to Argyle for an…read moreerrand and we decided to have him pick up Earl's on the way home. We hadn't been since their renovation. Yayyy, Earl's! Not so fast. The prices have gone up quite a bit and the quality, way down. We ordered the Italian Cobb and it was good but a bit sparse - not packed full of all the yumminess it's made of anymore. Nonna's meatballs were the biggest disappointment. They have gone up almost $5 I believe and whoever's Nonna made them, overcooked or microwaved them to death. They used to be SO good! Now, they aren't. We ordered 3 pizzas - the Bianca, the Margherita and the BBQ Arezzo. The Bianca was good, the Margherita was good but a little sparse and the BBQ Arezzo was awful. Like, nobody would eat it awful and that's pretty bad. I don't know if ingredients were bad or what but there was little to no sauce and it was just...bad. So bad that I called and spoke to the manager that offered a free pizza - NO thanks - or a refund. I opted for the refund and because we still have not gotten a refund for the 1 pizza only, I decided to write a review. We have literally been going to Earl's for YEARS and it has always been amazing. I looked past the prices going up because the price of food had gone up but when nobody will eat the food because it tastes horrible or is overcooked and we have spent close to $100, I'm out. Not sure what's going on but they definitely need a new Nonna to whip them back into shape.

It has been a few years since I last visited this place. I was seated by a booth near the entrance,…read morewhich meant I was exposed to a chilly breeze whenever the door opened. Fortunately, it did not occur too often. The half and half in my coffee had leaked into the bottom of the nearly empty container. My waitress promptly replaced it with a container from a nearby booth. While sipping my coffee, I noticed an unusual texture on the rim. The mug had a slight chip, but I managed to overlook it. Instead of taking my food order when she served my coffee, she immediately left to attend to other tables. This unexpected delay gave me a chance to admire the muffins displayed in the case. When I spotted a Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin, I decided to order a light breakfast and went with the Chorizo Tacos. Holding the tortilla prevent the toppings from falling out was a bit of a challenge. The red salsa lacked heat, while the green salsa provided a pleasant kick. Both salsas had softened the tortillas, making them unable to hold the ingredients securely. My hash browns were my favorite style--crispy on top and moist on the inside. If I had not planned on ordering a muffin, I would have easily enjoyed more than a couple bites. For someone who enjoys the combination of chocolate and peanut butter, the Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip muffin was delicious. Most of the chocolate chips were placed on top, with a smaller amount mixed into the batter. If I wanted a less chocolatey experience, I could simply skip the muffin top. But why would I do that?

Portofino's Italian Restaurant Review…read more We made a reservation for 12 on a Sunday and honestly... just hoped for the best... But when we showed up? They were ready for us. And that alone deserves a standing ovation, because let's be real--large groups on a Sunday can turn into absolute chaos. Now multiply that by three groups and toss in kids... yeah. But the staff handled it like pros. Our party of 11 (6 adults, 5 kids, and a baby) was taken care of the entire time, and somehow the whole meal felt smooth, easy, and actually enjoyable. The Food, We came hungry and did not hold back: Bruschetta Lunch (x2): Fresh, garlicky, and piled high with tomatoes and basil on perfectly broiled bread Fried Cheese Sticks (x2): Classic, crispy, and gone in about 30 seconds Kids' Pizzas: Hawaiian + cheese with pepperoni and sausage... zero complaints, which is basically a Michelin star in kid terms Now for the real stars: Portobello Ravioli: This is my go-to and I will not be taking questions. It's rich, earthy, and honestly one of my favorite dishes anywhere. If you like mushrooms even a little... just trust me. Sausage Pepper Parmigiana: Loaded with flavor, hearty, and exactly what you want when you're craving comfort food Chicken Parmigiana: Crispy, cheesy, saucy perfection Kids Spaghetti with Meatballs: Simple, classic, and kid-approved What really made this visit stand out was the service. Managing a group like ours is no small task, and they did it with patience, kindness, and zero stress energy. Drinks stayed filled, food came out timely, and we never felt like "that table." We walked in expecting a bit of chaos and walked out genuinely impressed. Great food, even better service, and a team that can handle a wild mix of adults, kids, and a baby without breaking a sweat. We'll absolutely be back--maybe with fewer people next time... or maybe not
