#4 Two tender sliders with fries.
    Jim J.

I was going here on opening day and the line was out the door. We decided to wait until the rush was over so finally went today for lunch. A line in front of the door was not going to deter us this time but when we got to the door, the line was for the Game Stop store two doors down. My caution flag went up, you can't go from lines out the door to an empty store at lunchtime in a few weeks unless... Inside only two people in there but it's only 11:00 am. Then looking around I thought to myself "it's only 30 minutes past opening and two people are here yet the floors are dirty, the fountain is dirty, and leaves are on the floor". Definitely one star off for lack of cleanliness at opening. Counter person was friendly but gave us the wrong order; we wanted two, #4's which is a tender slider, fries, pickles and Cole slaw. Drinks are extra. He gave us one #2 which is two sliders and an order of fries. To resolve the issue, he gave me an order of fries, still shorting me from what we wanted. Second star removed for twice getting the order wrong. Now the chicken; Mind you we are 30 minutes after opening and the fires and chicken are cold. Clearly both had been pre-made and sitting, waiting for someone to order it. Bite into the chicken and the spice was nice but it was dry, no moisture to the sauce at all yet looking at the menu pictures, the sauce is glistening. This sauce was not glistening. $20 for a single order is too much, especially when it is cold. Another star off for cold food. Final point is pre-tipping at the register. The counter guy made a point about reading the first screen which was tipping amounts. I gave him 15% for less than two minutes of interaction and then received the wrong order, cold food and a dirty dining experience. For my future counter service people, thank this guy, as I will never pre-tip counter people again.

    Dave's #1 2 Tenders w/ Fries

I was impressed! There are already a lot of places you can go to for chicken, and for chicken tenders at that. This place did not disappoint. It was busy but staff gave great customer service and food came out in a reasonable amount of time considering the big Sunday lunch rush. There aren't a lot of places to sit, but if the weather is nice there are extra spots outside to sit. Chicken tenders were big and crunchy! Crinkle fries (my fave) and an added bonus to have cheese fries. Not a lot of places offer cheese sauce for cheese fries so this was nice to see. The Dave's sauce is tangy and good. I love how you get a small pile of pickles on the side. There are options of what spice you want your food. I got no spice because I'm a wuss. Will be back!

Absolutely awesome! Staff is amazing, customer service is 10/10! The food is wonderful! Chicken is made to order and hot and crispy when it arrives! Ambiance is cool, music is great and the dinning room is super clean!

It's nice to have a Dave's Hot chicken in Denton.. It's grand opening so of course this place is crowded. The spice levels are not a joke. Eat at your own risk. I'm either a mild or medium kind of girl but I felt spontaneous and tried the Hot and it was so SPICY that I could still feel it burn after. Gave it 3 stars because their AD was a lie. They don't have the fries with all the fixings on it and if you try to order it they'll look at you like you're crazy and I don't like the Dave's sauce or cheese sauce. Both tasted really fake. Wish they have ranch.

It was busy so the food took a minute, which is OK I understand. The chicken was over breaded in my opinion, but the spice was good. The sauce just tasted like mayonnaise to me. The pickles were amazing. I would do anything to eat those pickles all day every day. Fries fries were so delicious. I would go back just for the fries. Although the seasoning on the tenders was a lot, felt like I was eating straight powder for a second.

Food is amazing I recommend mild for maximum flavor. Sai was the cashier and was extremely hospitable and went above and beyond to help us.

The chicken had no taste and it was dry. The spices sprinkled on top didn't help at all!

Idk if there is an actual portal to NYC installed in the door or what. There are elements of Denton scattered throughout, though, which are pleasant reminders of the unfortunate reality we face upon finishing our sandwiches. The first time I came here was 9pm on a Tuesday. I was craving some cheesecake and the staff was very pleasant in accommodating me. The cheesecake is very good especially for the price. That can be said for all of the food I've had thus far. Today I got the All stops sandwich (and a slice of cheesecake), which was impeccable. The sandwich was so filling I ended up saving half for later! I'm a pretty large guy so that's unusual but a great surprise for me! The service is fast, place is clean enough to eat off the floor. I was surprised it wasn't busier to be frank. The bathrooms were clean, and there was a newspaper above the toilet from a couple days ago. How cool! Overall epic experience and I will probably be a regular.

Lies a sacred temple spoken of only in late-night smoke circles and whispered among the enlightened: Cheba Hut. A place said to be crafted by the Ancient Toastmasters--mystical beings who forged balance, flavor, and perfect toasted bread at the dawn of the munchie universe. Its walls are etched with hemp-runes. The air vibrates with the scent of destiny, jalapeños, and lightly toasted magic. Inside this hallowed sanctuary, two legendary food-warriors rise whenever a hungry traveler approaches the counter: THE DEATH STAR -- DARK LORD OF FLAVOR Formed in the cosmic smoke between light and shadow, the Death Star is stacked with smoked turkey, salami, bacon, pepper jack, and cream cheese--the five elemental forces of the Stoner Pantheon. Jalapeños explode like tiny meteors. Pickles and onions whisper ancient secrets handed down through generations of late-night snack shamans. The Death Star doesn't simply satisfy your hunger; it bends your entire existence into its orbit. It hits with the gravitational pull of a black hole fueled by toasted bread, forbidden knowledge, and perfect munchie science. THE KALI MIST -- SHAMAN OF SPICE Emerging from the sacred fog that drifts across the Hippie Highlands, the Kali Mist is a creature of balance and enlightenment: roasted turkey, bacon, chipotle mayo, avocado, jalapeños, pepper jack, and crisp veggies standing in alignment like the chakras of a toasted sage. One bite opens your mind. Two bites expand your consciousness. Three bites make you swear you understand the language of houseplants and incense smoke. The Kali Mist is not a sandwich; it is a ceremony. A vision quest wrapped in perfect bread. And so I stand there, a lone wanderer in the Munchie Realms, bearing witness to the eternal struggle of these two herb-blessed titans. The Death Star calls me to the dark side of indulgence. The Kali Mist guides me toward enlightenment and spicy transcendence. I am torn. I am lifted. I am absolutely elevated. Nothing at Cheba Hut is ordinary. Nothing is mid. Every ingredient tastes like it was crafted by stoner monks who toasted bread using the heat of the sun and ground pepper by chanting ancient munchie hymns. I could eat here every single day for the remainder of my earthly journey and consider it a life fulfilled. Cheba Hut isn't a restaurant. It is a ritual. A quest. A toasted religion. All hail the Hut. The legend lives on.

Plus there was the promise of peanut butter, bananas and bacon. More on that in a bit. After spending some time out in the sun in North Lakes Park just down the road, it was lunchtime. My brother had been here a few times and said the sandwiches were pretty good. Also pretty inexpensive. We were just looking for something quick and this was a short drive from the park. Easy enough decision. The deal here is they have a station at the front where you choose what kind of sandwich you want. Some of the categories you can choose from are Turkey, Ham & Pork, Chicken, Vegetarian, Italian and Comforts. Each of those categories has 5 sandwiches listed within it. You choose a bag from the category of sandwich that you want and mark which sandwich you want on the bag along with what other things you might want with it. Type of bread, cheese, condiments, etc. Confused yet? Go there. I made it sound a lot harder than it is. My brother and I both ended up getting the Elvis Wich. That is what I mentioned above along with honey. Now I eat peanut butter and banana sandwiches fairly regularly, but I've never had one with bacon. Elvis apparently liked his deep fried. That was not the case here. Simply toasted on wheat bread this was a really good sandwich. I paired it with an Oreo shake because I can't resist a milkshake if I see a sign for one. The bacon was chopped up and that was kind of weird. Not sure why they don't do strips here, but that is a minor complaint. They have an interesting thing going on here.
