One half of the #20 ALL STOPS ON NYSH 12" with extra meat, bacon and jalapeños added
    Dez D.

It's been too long! I stand by my statement of this is one of the best sub sandwiches in North Texas! It's old school established in 1979 mainly run by college kids, but they put out a great sandwich. The sandwiches are served on a crusty yet soft fresh sub roll and the meats are sliced as your sandwich is being assemble. The meets themselves seem to be above average and very flavorful. Here is the kicker for all this greatness, if you look at the menu boards, there are no foot-long sandwiches over $10! I had my usual the #20 ALL STOPS ON NYSH 12" and I sprung the $1.25 for extra meat I always have to get one when I'm in Denton.

First of all, my food was delivered 37 seconds ago and I NEED to leave a review. Ordered a salami and cappicola sub and potato salad. And let it be known universe-wide that if I order potatoes of any kind it is not mandatory to write anything of humor on it because my belly will destroy it regardless. This world is full of so much hate. For this local sandwich shop to take the time to write one simple sentence to make someone laugh meant the world. Not only is your food top notch and fresh...your staff is unbeatable! Thank you! You need to Extra recognize your staff on 10/3, 9pm ish.

I visited here a few weeks ago while working in Denton. I immediately took notice of the nice, vintage, decorations and signs. I ordered a roasted tomato and turkey sub. It tasted fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was, the tomato's were not actually roasted. Even still, the sandwich was fantastic. The ladies behind the counter were fast and friendly. I would high recommend this place as great spot for a quick lunch.

I have a confession to make: I'm a bit of a sandwich snob. So when a friend suggested we try New York Sub Hub, a unique NY styled sub shop tucked away behind UNT, I was immediately skeptical. I mean, I've seen my fair share of "artisan" sandwiches that turned out to be nothing but a bunch of limp lettuce on stale bread. But oh, was I in for a pleasant surprise! First things first, we need to talk about the bread. I don't know what kind of wizardry is happening in their kitchen, but I've never experienced anything like it. It's soft, fluffy, and has just the right amount of chew that it doesn't fall apart. It's as if they somehow bottled the feeling of a warm hug and baked it into their bread. Honestly, when they start selling loaves of this stuff, I will be the first in line. Then there's the meat. From fresh cured ham, roast beef, to the salami, it's heaped on the sandos & so flavorful that I'm pretty sure it's been kissed by an angel before its arrival. But wait, thats not all, have you heard of cajun turkey? It's not your typical deli cold cut. No, no.. this is turkey that has been loved and cared for like it was raised to be the star of the Thanksgiving table. Delicious. & we can't forget the friendly staff. These folks are the epitome of hospitality. You walk in, and they greet you like a long-lost friend. Need help deciding on your sandwich? They're on it. Not sure which toppings to choose? Ask'em & they'll suggest the perfect combo without missing a beat. Overall, if you're looking for a sandwich that's going to knock your socks off while transporting you to the nearest New York subway station, this is your place. The walls are packed with NY street signs and Yankees memorabilia. It's a hidden gem that deserves all the love they can get. Just be warned: once you try it, sandwiches will never be the same again. Try it now & thank me later! Happy eating yelpers

The perfect college town sub shop. Absolute perfection! Bread was soft, meats were sliced perfect.

Wow, I wish this place was around when I went to UNT. The decor is cheesy but as someone who has lived in NYC, it could have been worse. The menu is huuuuge and I will say it all looked great in the photos. I got the number 17 and it was delicious. Even with chips and a drink it was super affordable! My friends greatly enjoyed their sandwiches as well. I will stop by here again -- the staff were incredibly nice.

Lies a sacred temple spoken of only in late-night smoke circles and whispered among the enlightened: Cheba Hut. A place said to be crafted by the Ancient Toastmasters--mystical beings who forged balance, flavor, and perfect toasted bread at the dawn of the munchie universe. Its walls are etched with hemp-runes. The air vibrates with the scent of destiny, jalapeños, and lightly toasted magic. Inside this hallowed sanctuary, two legendary food-warriors rise whenever a hungry traveler approaches the counter: THE DEATH STAR -- DARK LORD OF FLAVOR Formed in the cosmic smoke between light and shadow, the Death Star is stacked with smoked turkey, salami, bacon, pepper jack, and cream cheese--the five elemental forces of the Stoner Pantheon. Jalapeños explode like tiny meteors. Pickles and onions whisper ancient secrets handed down through generations of late-night snack shamans. The Death Star doesn't simply satisfy your hunger; it bends your entire existence into its orbit. It hits with the gravitational pull of a black hole fueled by toasted bread, forbidden knowledge, and perfect munchie science. THE KALI MIST -- SHAMAN OF SPICE Emerging from the sacred fog that drifts across the Hippie Highlands, the Kali Mist is a creature of balance and enlightenment: roasted turkey, bacon, chipotle mayo, avocado, jalapeños, pepper jack, and crisp veggies standing in alignment like the chakras of a toasted sage. One bite opens your mind. Two bites expand your consciousness. Three bites make you swear you understand the language of houseplants and incense smoke. The Kali Mist is not a sandwich; it is a ceremony. A vision quest wrapped in perfect bread. And so I stand there, a lone wanderer in the Munchie Realms, bearing witness to the eternal struggle of these two herb-blessed titans. The Death Star calls me to the dark side of indulgence. The Kali Mist guides me toward enlightenment and spicy transcendence. I am torn. I am lifted. I am absolutely elevated. Nothing at Cheba Hut is ordinary. Nothing is mid. Every ingredient tastes like it was crafted by stoner monks who toasted bread using the heat of the sun and ground pepper by chanting ancient munchie hymns. I could eat here every single day for the remainder of my earthly journey and consider it a life fulfilled. Cheba Hut isn't a restaurant. It is a ritual. A quest. A toasted religion. All hail the Hut. The legend lives on.

My hubby and I walked right in,m got seated and ordered our Vietnamese iced coffee, grilled pork spring rolls, shrimp pho and #22 Beef rice plate. Service was pretty fast. The spring rolls were delicious but did not come with peanut sauce so you'll want to ask for that if you're hankering. We just used Sriracha and the chili oil. I devoured my roll. The pho looked good. I wasn't sure what to expect with #22 but I sure was pleasantly surprised. I got too full after the roll so I ended up taking it to go. But the flavors were on point. The beef was thinly cut, lots of yummy lemongrass, over a bed of rice. It did come with fish sauce (but I didn't care for that), a lettuce cup with pickled carrot shavings and some tomato slices. I ended up taking the leftover bean sprouts and fresh jalapenos home. It was enough for 3 more meals! I loved it so much that I had it for breakfast and lunch today. Saving one more serving for tomorrow. If you like this kind of cuisine (pho is a perfect hangover cure) then you should try it. The coffee was pretty strong so I won't order that but everything I had was delicious. Go there, get some. It's not fancy and it seems family owned so that is very cute indeed. Work lunches just hit different when it's from here…read more There were six of us, and somehow we all collectively agreed that one full order of feta fries would be enough... which is adorable in hindsight. Because those fries? Not "shareable." Not "optional." These are crack fries (respectfully). Crispy, hot, loaded with feta and that house sauce doing its thing. Gone in record time. No regrets. Everyone else branched out with different bowls and salads--chicken bowls over basmati, fresh Mediterranean salads stacked with feta, olives, all the good stuff--but me? I stay loyal. The Spicy 360 wrap is my go-to--and let's be very clear--gyro meat only (as it should be ). And somehow... today it leveled up. Like, I took a bite and had a full "hold on" moment. The gyro meat was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and paired with those fresh jalapeños, sautéed onions and mushrooms? Unreal. Then the house sauce comes in and just ties the whole thing together like it knows it's the main character. I genuinely didn't think it could get better, and yet--here we are. Now--important note from your resident "dressing on the side" girl: if you forget to ask for light sauce or on the side, they do not play about it it can feel like a lot. BUT for the rest of my group? That sauce is basically a personality trait. The kind of "I'd throw my whole diet away for this" situation. So just know yourself and plan accordingly--but absolutely try the house sauce on something. It's too good not to. And the staff? Always kind, always helpful, never making you feel rushed even when it's busy. It's one of those places where you can sit, eat, talk a little shop, laugh a lot, and forget you're technically on a lunch break.
