I've been here twice and neither time have I been disappointed in any. Rather, I've been very impressed! Stepping in here legit makes you feel like you are not in Texas any more. Idk if there is an actual portal to NYC installed in the door or what. There are elements of Denton scattered throughout, though, which are pleasant reminders of the unfortunate reality we face upon finishing our sandwiches. The first time I came here was 9pm on a Tuesday. I was craving some cheesecake and the staff was very pleasant in accommodating me. The cheesecake is very good especially for the price. That can be said for all of the food I've had thus far. Today I got the All stops sandwich (and a slice of cheesecake), which was impeccable. The sandwich was so filling I ended up saving half for later! I'm a pretty large guy so that's unusual but a great surprise for me! The service is fast, place is clean enough to eat off the floor. I was surprised it wasn't busier to be frank. The bathrooms were clean, and there was a newspaper above the toilet from a couple days ago. How cool! Really good sandwich. The 6 inch is plenty of food. Taste and ambiance and menu is very similar to NY Sub Way which is only a few miles away. It may be owned by the same person but maybe not. Everything is so much better in every way for what you get compared to Subway. Name a place where you can get this much food at this price point. read more

It's been too long! I stand by my statement of this is one of the best sub sandwiches in North Texas! It's old school established in 1979 mainly run by college kids, but they put out a great sandwich. The sandwiches are served on a crusty yet soft fresh sub roll and the meats are sliced as your sandwich is being assemble. The meets themselves seem to be above average and very flavorful. Here is the kicker for all this greatness, if you look at the menu boards, there are no foot-long sandwiches over $10! I had my usual the #20 ALL STOPS ON NYSH 12" and I sprung the $1.25 for extra meat I always have to get one when I'm in Denton. read more

And let it be known universe-wide that if I order potatoes of any kind it is not mandatory to write anything of humor on it because my belly will destroy it regardless. I visited here a few weeks ago while working in Denton. I immediately took notice of the nice, vintage, decorations and signs. I ordered a roasted tomato and turkey sub. It tasted fantastic. The only thing I didn't like was, the tomato's were not actually roasted. Even still, the sandwich was fantastic. The ladies behind the counter were fast and friendly. No, no.. this is turkey that has been loved and cared for like it was raised to be the star of the Thanksgiving table. Delicious. & we can't forget the friendly staff. These folks are the epitome of hospitality. You walk in, and they greet you like a long-lost friend. Need help deciding on your sandwich? They're on it. Not sure which toppings to choose? Wow, I wish this place was around when I went to UNT. The decor is cheesy but as someone who has lived in NYC, it could have been worse. I ordered a sun-dried tomato turkey cheese, but there wasn't any sun dried tomatoes on my sandwich. My friend who recommended this sandwich stated that they don't actually put sun dried tomatoes, it's a special type of meat used. However, the turkey did not have any taste resembling sun dried tomatoes. It was a basic turkey sandwich. So either a the wrong sandwich was made or the sun dried turkey doesn't taste like sun-dried tomato at all. Besides myself, there was only two people who were already sitting and eating. so not sure how the mistake came about if that is the case. Service was fast. Bread was good. My husband and I had one of our first dates here 35 years ago, this review pains me. We don't even live in Denton anymore and we travel an hour to get here. Just as good as I remember. Mere walking distance from my old dorm, I forgot how convenient this place is. I'm a die hard alum now, attending all the home football games and a lot of the basketball games. This will now be my special treat before the games. The restaurant is clean, the bread is fresh and the meat and cheese ratio is spot on. And who doesn't like oregano on their subs? When I read that UNT is trying to buy them out or just flat out take their land, I was shook! Expand some other direction UNT!! Great sandwiches. Something for everyone. We had a vegetarian in the group and they had lots of options. Quick even with a crowd.

We usually lunch here when moving our girls in for the school year at UNT. Service and food have been consistently good each time. It's a nice diversion from the chain sandwich shops and tastes similar to subs I've had in NJ. My favorite is the All Stops NY. Love it toasted with the works, along with chips and a drink for a meal. The Sub Hub is located close to campus, within walking distance from many of the dorms.
