There are SO many sandwich shops. This is my first trip to Jersey Mike's. Restaurant was very clean, and employees helped me pick a sandwich. Hot or cold? What kind of bread? What size, regular or huge? The warm Big Kahuna cheese steak is right up my alley, but I also love the taste that Italian meats can give a sandwich. So, the Original Italian it is! And it has to come Mikes way, all the veggies and a red wine vinegar and olive oil dressing. The regular size is 2 meals for me, so there's leftovers! The sandwich was great, but what would put it over the top would be the olive mix dressing from a muffuletta. That would be a winner! Of course there's no Jersey Mike's in Abilene, so next time I'm in DFW, sandwich time! read more

This is one of the closest locations to Aubrey. I came in last Saturday to pick up food for my family. When ordering Philly cheesesteaks we like to add lettuce. We have them put it on the side for the ride home in case we have to warm food. I asked the gentleman for more lettuce and for some odd reason he was annoyed. As he packed our lettuce into a bigger container some of it fell on to the counter top where sandwiches had been made and wasn't cleaned. That young man swiped all of what ever it was on the counter along with the lettuce into my bowl, disgusting! I told him I wouldn't take that bowl and please make another, he didn't understand what the issue was. Just makes you wonder what is done when you're not there to watch. read more

Stopped in with my pregnant wife for a bite. It took 25 mins for 2 regular sandwiches. They in that time, lost 2 peoples orders (gave to the wrong people) When we paid we weren't asked about drinks. For here or to go, nothing. Then when our food finally came. They unwrapped my sandwiches on the counter in front of all the other customers, realized one was missing ingredients, and literally threw a handful of lettuce on it.....literally threw it Idk who runs this spot, but you'd be better off firing your entire staff from today and starting over. I'm gluten free which can truly be a pain in the butt but not at Jersey Mikes. Not only do they always take extra safe measures to accommodate me, they heat my bread , so it's not mealy, and do it with a smile. They NEVER act inconvenienced no matter how busy they are. The staff is super friendly and when I ask them to pile on the pickles they ALWAYS give me so many and it makes my day. This is by far the best sub shop in Denton and the current staff is the best they have ever had!!! I could not be happier there! read more

I normally don't reach out to places I go unless there is a problem or abnormally good service. In this case, there was a HUGE problem! I placed an online order (my first online order ever for food) for a sub today and my first bite into it was full of Jalapeño juice. All I wanted was a steak and cheese with nothing on it. I HATE spicy foods! Do you people not wipe off your knives before you cut another person's sandwich? The only reason I ordered it online is I was too busy at work to leave and go there in person like I normally do. I will never order from you online again! Extremely pissed off about it. I'm a bigger fan of a plate of food with meat and 2 sides but when it comes to sandwich shops I prefer Jersey Mike's over their most common competitors. This shop was clean and every single employee was upbeat and friendly. I ordered the Famous Philly, regular size, on the fancy bread with cheese baked into the crust. The meat was so tender, the sandwich wasn't as seasoned as I would have liked but it was still really good. When I'm in the mood for just a sandwich Jersey Mike's is an excellent choice. And they do have sweet tea. And Udi gluten free bread if you require or prefer it. I think the sandwiches might be a little bit pricier than Subway but the sandwiches here taste much better. read more

Customer service was ok, but check out was very disappointing. Upon checkout, my orders came to $45.23. I paid with a $100 bill. Milam the store manager, check out the authenticity of the $100(normal). Then he asked if I had another bill to pay with. I asked him why, he said that it was an old bill. I jokingly asked if they only like the new bills. He said no, people use counterfeit bills. I then said "you just held it up to the light, you can see that it's good ". I said it just came straight from the bank. He then said, yeah but sometimes you can't tell( while still holding it up to the light). I then asked if they had the marker to test it...he replied once again "yes, but it doesn't always work ". So, he marked the bill and still was unsure about the bill. After seeing my expression change, now I'm no happy about this whole exchange. I said "Well it's good ". He hesitantly said "yeah it's probably is". I was totally offended and embarrassed that I had to endure this treatment in front of customers. I frequently this store often and I'm a part of your rewards program. I plan on definitely taking this further. I do want to add that I'm a 62 year old African American woman. See it for what it is. read more

The first time I experienced Jersey Mike's was in Charlotte, NC in probably 2004. At the time I was a loyal and regular visitor to a competitor with a similar color scheme (rhymes with "pennies"). Jersey Mike's did not impress me that day because the dude making my sandwich decided it was smart to argue with me about what to call the spicy red pepper relish...he had spunk. I hate spunk (when I am the spunkee). It took a long time for me to return. I am so glad I did. A few years ago, JM's started popping up in Texas. The "other guy" had tried Texas and apparently failed. Other than my very first visit way back when, the service & food has been beyond amazing. Hot subs or cold or even eating half today & half for breakfast tomorrow you can't go wrong. I typically get one of the club sandwiches, but today I tried the #56 - big kahuna cheesesteak. YUMMMMM! The Rosemary Parmesan bread is a gift from the gods. I have also tried the chicken cheesesteaks, and whereas most end up with dried out yard bird, JM's is quite moist. Finally, this location appears to have a very well-read staff as I overheard them discussing The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy. Well done, gentlemen! read more

We just tried the new Jersey Mike's in Denton right by Razor Ranch. First off, I have to say it is new so I expected the place to be clean and busy. I was not disappointed. There were about 6 or 7 customers in front of us, yet we were in and out in less than 5 minutes. One con, they don't have a lot of vegetables to chose from, but the quality is better than other sandwich shops. The staff was friendly and smiling. Shane was a great help and the young lady at the register sold us on the rewards program. I'm not generally big on sandwiches, but I'll be back for the tuna! read more

There is nothing like a good Jersey sub. Being from there, I know a good sub sandwich. There's a little place in Edison, NJ that is the high standard. Tastee Subs. So good that our president visited it when he was campaigning through New Jersey. So, I said, high standards. Jersey Mikes is a chain that seems to be expanding rapidly, and I have been to several. Denton, Plano, Fort Worth, Richardson and Frisco are just a few of the local shops. Freshly baked bread is a good start. White or wheat are listed but they have a rosemary cheese bread as well, if you ask about it. Good quality meats and cheeses make it better. They have hot and cold subs, wraps and salads. "Mike's Way" is with lettuce, tomato, onions, oil & vinegar and seasonings. But for an added bonus they added hot cherry pepper relish to the list of condiments a year ago and totally makes it a Jersey sub. Go there. Now. Shoot, I want one now............Oh, and the best first sub to have is their roast beef. They make it in-house and it is beautiful and pink. Enjoy. read more

My wife and I love this place, every time she doesn't want to cook we either not eat or go to jersey mikes for there subs. I get the club minus the bacon so the crew is nice and give me extra meat for the bacon, my wife gets the roast beef she loves that. I love a place where you ask for something and they are so nice to accomplish it. I have never had a problem with them, I wish they could deliver it would save me a trip. Its a small shopping center store thats easy to get to and normally has adequate parking. The classic Italian on white, "mikes way!", reminded me of the sandwiches I'd get as a kid growing up in New Jersey and NYC. The staff are professional, friendly, clean, and fast, which is good as they cut meat and cheese for each sandwich as they are made. I've yet to have a bad sandwich there and would recommend to anyone wanting a sub. There are a few tables for folks wanting to eat-in but its more of a carryout type place. I would have given them four stars if not for their fountain drink selections or lack thereof. I usually get a coke or dr pepper next door at the McDonald's if the lines are short enough. Three sandwiches, one bag of chips and a couple drinks will cost you as much as a nice meal in a sit down restaurant. I am originally from NJ. Never had been to a Jersey Mike's when I lived there. Funny. Now I've been to one in Texas. That is a bit strange. I wanted to take a sandwich with me on the airplane for my trip home. This is the closest I have gotten to a Tastee Sub (Edison, NJ) since the last time I had a Tastee Sub. This is a good simple sandwich. I like my sandwiches simple. Your best bet might be to get the Roast Beef. They make it on the premises. That is what I got. If you get it Mike's way it comes with onions, lettuce, tomatoes, vinegar, oil and spices. This is how they would make it for you in a sub shop in NJ. None of that mayo crap here (although they probably have mayo). They will also add hot peppers and bacon if you would like. I opted to not get either of those. I actually didn't even eat this sandwich until the next day. It survived a flight from Dallas/Ft Worth to Phoenix and from there onto Portland, OR. When I took it out for lunch the next day the bread was soggy from the oil and vinegar and that was a very good thing. Taking my first bite took me right back to my favorite NJ sub shop which I talked about earlier. This sandwich is not as large as the one you will get there, but equally as good. Expect to pay about $7 or so for, roughly, 10 inches of soft bread filled with tasty meats (sliced after you order) and cheeses. About time that the Loop 288 area gets a "good" sub shop! These guys make a great tasting sandwich and option wise they have everything that I need:) The thing that sold me on this place was their Meatball...mmm.mmm, it was the best meatball sub I have had in a long time. My first time here was yesterday and I honestly don't know if i'd ever go back to this location. I went in to order & after taking my order the workers proceeded to yell at me from where i was sitting to ask whether I wanted it "mikes way" or not... shouldn't that have been something they asked me before? (& why are you yelling at me from across the store?) After I paid for my sandwiches there was no "thank you" and I had to stand there for a while before the cashier asked me if I wanted my receipt. After my sandwiches were done being made the guy just put my bag on the counter and looked at me. (They never asked for my name to put on my order, but they did for every one else in there before me ??) Luckily I looked up from my phone in time to see him looking at me in a assuming manner & I grabbed my bag and said thank you and to have a nice day but the worker didn't say anything back. I know none of this seems like a big deal but the customer service was just awful. I'm not sure why I got different treatment from everyone or why no one had manners for me, but it made me uncomfortable enough to not want to go back. I was also the only customer wearing a mask, i'm not sure if that's what made them treat me different, but from my experience if you HAVE to go here, order online. read more

This place has just recently opened up here and to be honest i could care less! That's only because i'm not a sub kind of guy. I was giving a card to get a free sub, so i decided to try it out and was amazed at what i tasted! Please note that of the three times i have been there i've only had the Philly cheese steak regular. Amazing, simply amazing! You would think a philly cheese steak would be easy to make, but i can't find anywhere in texas where it's actually good until now. This place really has nothing special going on. It's just another sub shop that uses fresh meats and cheeses, but you can find other places that do that as well. I'll have to try a regular sub one day so i can actually compare to other places, but it's so hard to do that when the philly is soooo good. Imma give this place 4 out of 5, because the philly is really that good, but this shop really has nothing great to offer out of the normal. The prices do sit a little bit higher, but i don't think they are all that bad. read more

Second time going to this location. Absolutely delicious!!! I wasn't expecting much the first time I went because I thought it would basically be like a subway sandwich place but holy hell I was pleasantly surprised of how damn delicious these subs are! I got the Big Kahuna because I love jalapeños, one that loves philly cheese steak subs with a little spice... this sub is for you. I can't describe more about how delicious these subs are. Very rude employees that acted put out when we ordered a sandwich on gluten free bread. I understand it's a hassle to switch gloves and all that but if you offer an allergen alternative for one of your ingredients, then don't get mad when people order it. My girlfriend has Celiac and gets ill when she consumes gluten so Jersey Mike's was a good option for her when the sandwich craving struck but it looks like we won't be back here anytime soon. Not to mention that when we got home and realized they had given us the wrong sandwich. I suggest making a sub at home, as it's cheaper and you can avoid the attitude. read more
