I visited at 10:30am, 30 minutes after they're supposed to open but the doors are locked and theres nobody at the drive through window

Waited over 30 minutes for food at the KFC on 380 in Denton, and the experience was frustrating from start to finish. The restaurant appeared severely understaffed, and it felt like all priority was being given to the drive-through while customers inside were largely ignored. When we politely asked about our order status, one employee simply stared at us and said nothing back. To make matters worse, the same employee was later seen aggressively swinging a bag while taking an order out to a drive-through customer who had been waiting. I understand places get busy, but communication and professionalism still matter. Long waits happen, but being ignored and watching employees behave carelessly with customer food is unacceptable. read more

This place is absolute garbage. Just got home from this shit hole to find my 4 piece tenders are the size of nuggets , dry, and hard as a rock. Called several times and nobody answers... because nobody cares. A bunch of dipshit college kids who can't even do their job right at a fast food place, but probably are going to school to be a doctor or some shit... not good. i went inside this KFC RESTAURANT today, a Tuesday, for the 10 pieces, $10 meal. I have done this many many times before. But today it was so different. There were two men ahead of me and they had to have WAITED and were NOT GREETED AT ALL for maybe 25 plus minutes. I needed to finally sit down at a table because my back was hurting. No one even acknowledged my presence either. Finally, those two nice men left, rather irritated and upset. The employees seemed to ONLY care about the drive through and did not even come out from the back side to the front side to see what was happening. I finally stood up and waited another 10 minutes at the counter, and no one said a thing to me. Just waited on the cars. So, reluctantly, I got into my car and into the drive thru. I ordered TWO $10 orders, but then I was told I would ONLY BE GETTING 8 PIECES....not the 10 as was advertised. Gee, isn't that in violation of the company's promotional policies? UNREAL! The girl never apologized, but said they only had one person running the line, whatever that means. Truly, a customer does not need to be bogged down with situational company problems and somehow muster up compassion for poor leadership and training. This girl was horrible at caring or apologizing. At drive thru, she said I could always come inside! I wanted to scream at this point and tell her I had already been inside for quite awhile, but held it together. There is a really bad problem at this store and Corporate needs to address it. When she passed the two bags to me, I literally HAD TO ASK FOR MY CREDIT CARD BACK.....that is a first in my entire life of doing drive thrus!! My goodness. I have been loyal to KFC since the 1960's, but I am ready to switch to Popeye's with this pathetic treatment and lack of caring and the actual ditching of company advertising. I usually don't write reviews, but this place is just horrible. I placed the order online an hour before went to pick it up. When I got there, they were out of chicken nuggets, rolls, coleslaw, and extra crispy chicken which is 2/3 of my order. When I asked for a refund, I had to call the corporate office, I gave them all the information. They said they'll call me back which they never did and I never did get a refund. When I was at the restaurant, I tried to speak to a manager, but she acted like she's too busy and didn't have time for me. I will never go back to this place. read more

This restaurant is on the corner of a bustling thoroughfare. Across the street are some of KFC's main competitors: Jack in the Box and McDonald's. My family and I were in the process of a 13-hour road trip today when we came across this joint. My mother & I wanted the kid's meal (5 nuggets, a small side, and a drink of choice), and my sister wanted the Famous Bowl. When we ordered the kids' meals, we were abruptly and rudely told that they were out of nuggets. How on earth Kentucky Fried Chicken runs out of nuggets is beyond me, but that's whatever. My sister wanted clarification that her bowl could not be made, and we were met with the same hostility as when we ordered the kid's meals. We got to the window, paid, and then were told to pull to the front to get our food. Normally this is fine, but the person at the window was dismissive as all get out, and there was not a soul nearby. I guess KFC wasn't prepared to fry chicken today? I'm perplexed. Overall, the vibe was hostile and the place was your generic fast food experience. Don't come here for chicken, I guess. Spicy chicken sandwich was distinctly bland, and the sandwiches lacked any crunch. Mashed potatoes were fine but grainy; definitely from a packet. Gravy was lukewarm. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a KFC. I have been to this particular KFC 2 times. It is important to remember that any restaurant can have an off day so I try to give a "second chance " before totally putting a big never again sign up. This was their second and last ever chance for me to return. The young man at the window was courteous. That is actually the only positive thing I can say about the experience. The food was not edible. If you look at the photo you should be able to tell that the chicken was fried and my opinion, when it did not sell , the chicken was dropped in the oil again and refried. If the chicken had been edible the order still would have been wrong. The box was supposed to be their $5 value meal which consists of 1 biscuit, 1 side, 1 thigh and 1 leg. This is just a strange place..... Signage says open till 10pm.... But they lock the doors a 7pm and stop drive through at 8pm.... BUT DONT BOTHER TO TURN OFF ANY LIGHTS .... Including THE DRIVE THROUGH MENU LIGHTS or change the signs to indicate they are open only from 11am to 8 pm day..... and when they are open they re "out of most everything". ... just plain weird.... Would not trust my food preparation to a place this sketchy.... It seems like who ever is responsible for the management and revenues from this location are "MIA". I have gotten lunch here a number of times - the chicken sandwiches are pretty good. However I'm done, because I've noticed a trend with this location that they charge higher than menu prices by way of upcharges that are not disclosed until you get a receipt, inquired about beforehand or approved. I have noticed that on at least 3 instances, they are charging for a larger drink - itemized on the receipt - when they don't ask if you want it. The first time in enquired about it, they threw me a dollar. The second time the drive-through lady flat dismissed me. Both times, they said it is an automatic charge and they have no control - so it is either in their training or management is scamming customers. read more

Look, this KFC isn't any better than another, in fact it's likely worse than most of them, but on this night when we ventured in search of fried chicken, we were met with an entirely empty establishment and a sign that our food would be made by "victor". There was a moment there when I thought there truly might not be another soul in this building, but then our hero, Victor, emerged. He was quick to inform us that they were out of most everything, but Victor had tenders, and he could give us plenty of those. This location is very convenient to get to, but we rarely come here because we have had a lot of poor visits. In fact, when I came here last week, it was out of desperation because I was starving and it was the closest drive thru at the time. When I say desperation, I mean it, I had gone over 13 hours without eating, was light headed and basically only willing to eat here for survival. In the past there have been frequent visits where the wait was extremely long, they were out of the ordered items, but didn't inform us until after we paid, and one time when my husband received raw chicken. I didn't know this was possible, I had assumed that all the chicken was pre-cooked and then frozen and then went in the fryer. This is the case with things like the tenders, but on that visit, they told him they were out of what he ordered and asked if they could sub out different chicken on the sandwich, therefore, I can't recall what piece specifically wasn't cooked correctly. For this reason, even when I came here out of desperation, I will only order the tenders. I got a $5 box and the wait was very reasonable last week, perhaps they have fixed their staffing issues. Service was adequate, not great, but not bad either. For this reason, I am glad I came to see improvement on their part. The food is a good, cheap price, but the quality doesn't inspire many return visits. The tenders were pounded flat this time and were very stringy. I have had better tenders from this location, so this is a consistency issue. The mashed potatoes were drowned in gravy, but still managed to be tasteless. They do a damn good biscuit though! The fries are thick wedges and are usually seasoned nicely, while being soft in the middle. Those two items are usually spot on and are safe bets to order. There was a cookie, but I didn't get to try it, my husband took it. :( I'm going to guess that the cookie is probably a safe item also, as he didn't complain. Since this location is showing improvement on service and wait times, I'm going to say there is probably hope for them yet. However, my rating is an average of multiple visits (a very kind average in my opinion) and they will need to perform better on a regular basis to get to a 3 star rating and earn visits from me that aren't out of desperation. read more

Stopped by here to get some chicken for the family and this location has regular chicken but no grilled chicken at all. The drive thru guy did apologize and recommend the others location in Denton. I find it strange why they wouldn't carry the grilled as this is the only location I have ever heard of this. read more

My husband went to KFC on the way home from work because all I was craving was mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese (I'm 7 months pregnant). When he got home and opened the bag, he realized that instead of giving him Mac and cheese, they gave him coleslaw not only that, but when he went to go grab the container of gravy, whoever packaged it, broke the container and there was gravy all over the bottom of the plastic bag and my husband didn't realize it was broken until it spilled out onto our kitchen floor. I tried calling twice to see if we could bring the catastrophe of a meal back up and get it fixed, but no one answered. Shouldn't have got my hopes up -- I've never once had them not screw up an order. Once, we ordered two identical combos and they left out the side dish from one of them. Then she asked a coworker how to put in the order, and had to be in his early teens. Definitely not old enough to drive.
