For sweet, I love the cream cheese, apple, and cherry. For savory, you can't go wrong with the sausage kolaches. Pro tip: if you ask, they'll warm them up for you, which makes them even better. Even when the line wraps around this legendary little store, the service is impressively fast. The line moves quickly, so you're never waiting as long as it looks. These are easily the best kolaches I've had in Texas so far, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Expect many more future stops from me.

Now...the food: I got the chicken fried steak and hubby got fried catfish. Both were so clean and fresh I thought they'd been air fried! By the time the food arrived, dinner time must've hit, because as I write this from my table, the place is absolutely packed full of patrons. I didn't take a photo of my dinner, because I was busy enjoying it. However, I was able to get a quick snapshot of the husband's fish before he downed the last few bites.
