The lady that took out order also served us, she was very helpful with the menu. I heard this is family owned but I'm not really sure as I also heard they own Omar's. It's nice and clean, pretty spacious and chill. We went on a game night and they had the TVs on the game with good music playing in the background. We really enjoyed it here. We each ordered something different and unfortunately I didn't get a photo of my burger. I had the Chipotle Cheeseburger with the homemade fries, my husband got the Bacon Jam Smash Burger with onion rings. Our friends got the Patty Melt with onion rings and the Mushroom Lover with curly fries. We wiped our plates clean. One of our friends never finishes his plate, he did here. I hope the fries never change!! They're homemade cut and fried to perfection. They have a desert there on the counter which we've never had and the waitress gave us a sample and it was delicious!! I can keep on and on about this place. We will definitely be back.

They weren't busy and so I didn't feel like I had to rush. The only issue was the girl at the register. Idk what her issue was but I asked "do you guys just have turkey sandwich " which she just looked at me sideways and points at the menu. Then got annoyed because I "didn't see it ". It literally took me a minute to even see that it was under "classic subs". Like damn. My bad. Anywho. She the goes "is that what you want ?" With an attitude. Ma'am calm down. Then I told her my toppings and I asked if they could put pickles in it. When I got my sandwich it had no pickles. I had the pickle spear but I also wanted the diced pickles. I mean am I going to flip out about pickles? I mean I caaaaann since I freaking love pickles but I wasn't. The sandwich was good though. Can't complain much about that. It's the service that I had an issue with. They weren't very welcoming to begin with. The restaurant was clean though so I give them that.

I ordered the California Burrito, to go - for lunch the next day, and it was pretty good. I made the 30 minute trip from Dallas, because of my previous experience, to try the Super Nachos...and get another California Burrito. The nachos were made of the same tortillo chips that come with the complimentary chips and salsa, which are quite thin. The grilled chicken was good but accompanied by beans, cheese, and pico, made the tortilla chips soggy. My plate was a mess within seconds of eating. The staff seems friendly, but I noticed that the young lady who waited on me, took my order, brought my food to me, and then never stopped by to check on me, even though I was only one of two customers in the restaurant on Thursday night. She did the same thing on Saturday night, even with my being right next to another table she was working. I had to get her attention to order my burrito to go. I was only in town for a trucking orientation and saw the great reviews on Yelp, so I took a chance on this place. If I'm in town, I'd try them again, but I won't get nachos unless they use thicker tortilla chips.

The whole place felt bright, fun, and very old-school. The lady at the front was super nice and sweet too. I ordered the Pops Double Combo with American cheese, ketchup, pickles, and onions. The burger was really good. The patties were tender and full of that familiar grilled beef flavor, with a nice little char around the edges. The American cheese melted right into the meat and gave it that creamy, salty flavor that just belongs on a classic burger. The pickles added a sharp little crunch, while the onions brought a bit of sweetness. Just tasted like a really good old-fashioned burger. The kind of flavor I recognized right away, but somehow better than I remember. The bun, beef, cheese, ketchup, pickles, and onions all worked together perfectly.

The restaurant is well-known for its root beer floats, but since we were already stuffed from our meal, we'll have to save that for our next visit. I ordered my go-to, the mushroom burger, with fries and a drink. My husband went with the "Low and Slow" burger and a side of onion rings. The onion rings were absolutely delicious--thin and crispy, exactly the way I like them! The setup is simple: you order at the register and then find a seat. The atmosphere is fantastic, like stepping back in time with all the antique objects decorating the space. I especially loved the "Elvis wall" near the women's restroom. Elvis holds a special place in my family's heart, so that was a really lovely touch. Great food and a wonderful vintage vibe. We'll definitely be back to try those floats!

First time I went there were problems with the food quality but the young lady at the cashier was kind and had a great personality and smile,so I reached out to Management via feedback and they got the problem resolved. The second time I came it was wonderful. I had allowed about a month to pass so that there could be retraining and management refresh. It was so good that I went back in and bought more so that I could take it home to PLANO, Texas to my wife who enjoyed it thoroughly. Again we had the same cashier whose catchphrase was I got you! She made it a nice experience. Tonight was just a reflection of poor Management top to bottom. The cashier looked irritated to be there and did not crack even a grin. She wore a scowl. No graciousness, no kindness. I did not feel welcome to be there. I placed my to go order on the app I went in at the appropriate time and they did not have my order. They had to search for it and then finally after we went through and I showed the order she took it over to the service line where they promptly informed me it would be 20 minutes to make the chicken. I wasn't in a big hurry and the woman who was in the line doing the serving was also very kind and had a nice smile and she make me feel like it was going to be taken care of properly so I waited. You can also tell the person working The Grill on the line was experienced. After about 25 minutes, my food did come out, but my order was wrong. I paid for a substitute to get the salad. I had to go back in and let them know. I was missing the salad. The same girl at the register then handed me a salad with the blue cheese dressing and walked in the opposite direction. I don't recall hearing an apology or anything kind or come back welcoming. Just the opposite. The salad that she handed me was disgusting! It was about halfway full, and most of the lettuce was brown and wilted. there were no carrots. There were no tomatoes. It was just sad. It looked like it had been served and then put back. So I'm sitting in my car and looked at this and decided I spent extra money for this and I wasn't going to accept it. I went back in and let her know that the salad was not appropriate and showed her what it looked like. She immediately threw it into the trashcan, but did not offer to look for one that was fresher when I asked if there was one that looked better. So I stated that I would just take the grilled vegetables. At that point, she said that's going to be another 5 to 7 minutes. At this point, I've been There nearly half an hour between waiting for my order and waiting in line to get my order and then waiting to return things that we're not right in line. So I. told her no, I wasn't gonna wait another 5 to 7 minutes for vegetables when I've been there that long. I started to walk away and then she said well what if I have another salad? She reached in and brought out a perfectly good, nice looking salad the difference was night and day! I have no idea why they served that junk that they handed me the first time. Again, no apology no graciousness. Just handing me the salad. I'm sorry but this place needs management training. Serious management training. The chicken itself was tasty. In fact, it was good, but I have a feeling that the macaroni was too warm as I've had it before. Based on my experience, I don't feel safe coming here in the future. Too many problems and too many opportunities to get sick or be given something which isn't right. Sadly, I when it's right I love the chicken, but it just isn't worth the drama. I can spend my money elsewhere and get consistent product and generally someone with a smile or at least that doesn't resent me being there as customer. Sadly **** NOT RECOMMENDED ****
