Another TikTok trend sent me here lol. Being from California I'm very familiar with In n out , however I have never been pressed or a fan until recently. So trending on TikTok has been this amazing creation called the Flying Dutchman, whole onion wrapped (it's basically a double patty cheese burger with sliced grilled onions in place of the hamburger bun. A keto friendly burger. Via the videos I watched on TikTok , it pairs well with the in n out spread sauce and a bite and drippings from the green chili peppers . So I had mines identical to what I watched . OMG, what a combination/creation. The best and only way that I prefer to have my burgers now . I've never been a fan of their fries, and it seems that they are the type of fries that you have to eat fresh, and should be discarded if any left over because they don't reheat well at all. I tried my fries this last time around the monster style way , and I wasn't disappointed. They are Not something that I could eat often but they are definitely a great addition to the menu. The milk shakes (strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate) are nothing extravagant but they are good and great chaser to a good burger. Since experiencing this amazing creation , I've had the opportunity to remake the Flying Dutchman, and it was beyond amazing . And I want to say being able to flavor/season my patties to my liking only extended the appreciation and love that I have for this type of burger. I cooked my beef patties and the grilled onions in bacon grease and sprinkled garlic power and onion powder until my ancestors jumped out the skillet and told me to stop . Lol ... The Flying Dutchman it's such a messy burger. From The slippery onions to the melted cheese, you definitely can't eat this type of burger while driving . You'll need all hands on deck, available and ready to grab the onions and they begin to separate from the patties. I want to give a lot of attention to the staff and this overall location( Lancaster, Tx). They were all working so well together getting the food out fresh , hot and quickly. They are the Chick-fil-A of hamburger joints If you ask me. Everyone smiling ,in good spirits, helpful and simply just happy to serve their community. I have such an a phobia for the color white , it's always been a color that I feel I'll never be mature or careful enough to wear , but the way their all white uniforms with red aprons were so clean and freshly crisped, it played with my anxiety lol . Overall was okay. Really liked the packaging (fries in open boats, burgers partly wrapped) and the menu was straightforward with reasonable prices. The fries had a flavor reminiscent of those potato sticks in a can. They correctly executed our burger customizations in a timely manner. E like his plain and dry cheeseburger and I enjoyed a hamburger with grilled onions, extra tomatoes, pickles and sauce. The onions needed salt, but the overall taste was fine. I liked that they didn't put too much sauce. Mustard would have been a good addition. E says "no", but I would eat here again. Look, I'm from New Jersey, right outside of Philly, and we don't have In-N-Out Burger. The last time I was in Texas, I gave it a try, I didn't think it was bad. Wasn't going to try it again, but because of all the fanfare they receive, I wanted to give it one more try. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger, Cheese Fries, and a Coke. The burger was good, but it didn't leave me wishing we had In-N-Out in New Jersey/Philly area. The fries, just like my first visit, and for the same reason, were the most disappointing. They are the driest French Fries I've ever had, I ain't a skinny dude, I've had a lot of French Fries. For me, I've had better French Fries at local Mom and Pop joints than what I've had at In-N-Out. My son got 2 grilled cheese sandwiches which are hamburger rolls with melted cheese. He's 12 and he loved it. In-N-Out has a nice atmosphere, cool look inside and out, employees are friendly, and very clean. The food is well prepared, and the burgers are decent. I know they have a loyal following from the area where they were established, but for me, I wouldn't be excited if they opened in my hometown. This is the closest location to my house, honestly it's worth driving to the downtown Dallas locations for a meal. The workers at this location are all pretty nice but never give me salt or ketchup when I ask multiple times!! I will spend 30 minutes waiting in line and wishing I had just gone inside. The bun is nearly alwaysss hard as a rock, way too toasted in my opinion. Definitely worth the wait. It's In and Out, the drive thru is gonna be long depending on what time you come so expect it or just go somewhere else. If you have never been here, then you should not expect a lengthy menu . This location has a enormous parking lot and can confuse you as your trying to get through the drive through. Customer service has always been great at any in and out burger , so I have nothing but good things to say about that. Haven't had a double double in quite some time and man the flavor was just so edible. I picked up two to save the other for later . I hardly ever get the fires because they always overcook them for some reason and they have a charred flavor;Not my cup of tea. The shakes are thick and satisfying. Good food! read more

In-n-Out is so amazing because they stick to a simple menu of burgers, fries and shakes. That's it! They are an awesome Christian based company. (You will find John 3:16 on the bottom of every cup) lastly, they pay their employees well! Starting pay is $12.00 an hour with full benefits. This is almost unheard of for fast food. Let's talk about the ordering process for a minute. There are always at least 20 cars in the drive thru no matter which location you go to. Don't let this deter you as the line moves very quickly! I decided to order a double-double with animal style fries and a lemonade. It never disappoints and this time was no exception. In-N-Out is usually screamin' busy, and always fast, fresh, and fabulous! But not here, and not on the evening I visited through absolute necessity. I was traveling south, and needed sustenance after dinner plans fell through. It looks nice enough on the outside, but they weren't busy and, alas, fell victim to the doldrums of slow food production. Restaurants are engineered to run fast, and that's when they're at their best; run it slow, and something strange and horrible happens. This facility wasn't clean, nor on point with their timing or flavors. It was the slowest In-N-Out I've ever had - but it was also the second In-N-Out I've had outside of California; seems these burger ships run a lot tighter the closer you get to headquarters, which explains why there's not one in Kansas City. Their iteration of the burger was lackluster, and a little chilled. The fries were very potato flavored - nearly of the raw variety, if you know what I mean. I think that's baked into the recipe of their fries, but on this night that profile just didn't work at all. Soft, flimsy, and regrettable. The shake was excellent though, but it's hard to mess up ice cream in a cup. I got a blend of Strawberry and Chocolate - highly recommend that. It was bummer, but I'm sure they do better when it's poppin' in there. I'd never be able to find out, though, because Texas is a big nothing burger not worth a second visit. Adios, hombre! read more

This vegetarian thinks heaven is: In-N-Out grilled cheese, animal style. Saucy and flavorful, big thick American cheese, fresh veggies and a perfect bun. God, so so good, and the price is right, too. Animal style = caramelized onions, pickle, extra spread, and mustard. And yes, you can get grilled cheese animal style. We were asked "Will you be eating in the car?" Result: a paper placemat to keep our laps clean. Awesome. The placemat plus the cardboard box is 100% necessary since all that flavor can get drippy. The staff here always seem polite, and restaurant is clean, however, they do close the dining room at 10pm for safety reasons since this is not such a good part of town. read more

MCDONALDs fries seem to taste better. I have eaten In and Out before and if you don't eat the fries quickly they seem to not taste good cold. My husband said it was good as could be expected. Love In-N-Out even as a Texan, but this location is just sad. We went in around 9:15 at night reveling 6 hours to Oklahoma, and their bathroom was cut off by "floor wet" signs. I had to use the bathroom so bad I went past them and the bathroom was a mess! No wonder they don't want anyone going in! The food took about 10-15 minutes and we only ordered one burger and a self served drink. I would NOT go to this location especially if you have been on the road for a while. read more
