A family member recommended Griff's Hamburger due to me craving an Old School burger spot! My order was: The two meat burger with cheese and lettuce. A side of fries and a drink, did not expect it to be so large! But you must not forget.... Everything is BIGGER in Texas. We went through the drive through because we had to eat on the move. Customer service was decent, The burger transported me back to the 70's. Tasted like a traditional old fashioned hamburger with salt and pepper with a squirt of mustard in the middle as the burger cooks. The burger meat itself was flavorful and the accompaniment of bun, lettuce and cheese did not overpower anything! The fries were shoestring style, hot and fresh! No complaints! Slide to Griffs! read more

I've been to this location once, but the one on Scyene in Mesquite is my go to for a good ole Griff's hamburger! They're absolutely delicious. I've dined in, picked up, and ordered thru the drive through and service was always great. My order is always correct and when there is a long line, they move it pretty quickly and I still get my food hot and ready to eat. The inside is clean, plenty of tables to service two or 10 people. For the ones saying they had an unfortunate experience, give them another try. They're worth the second trip! read more

Delicious & simple burgers at fast food prices. Their fries are not my favorite (usually soggy and not hot) so I recommend their tater tots instead. Their milkshakes are delicious & made with real blue bell ice cream. Service is always great and they have always had a lot of people working every time I've gone. But heads up: their drive-thru is going to be a VERY long wait at peak mealtimes! The location in Mesquite is not as busy. read more

If the burgers were fresh they would have been better , maybe I'll give it another try and ask for fresh meat

Worst burger I ever had. I didn't even get the bacon I ordered a big wast of money. The burger was nasty I had to throw it away. read more

Griff's Hamburgers - burgers are disgusting! - Burgers Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Very Good Burgers, the service at the drive-thru window was also very good and impressive.

Food was horrible don't waste your money, had them remake it three times and the fries were stale and old. The burgers had hard chunks and flies in the food DISGUSTING. 100% no. The workers are eating the food and not wearing gloves while handling. read more

Last time was about 15 years ago. Doesn't look like it's changed but food is still good, service is good as well (way better than a lot of the other fast food lots). Default is always the #1 and is more than enough to fill you up. Everything was served hot and fresh. Is it the most hi-tech or a trendy spot... No. cleanest... Could do better. The burgers and service make for it. My burger spot if I'm in that side of town. read more

never gotten bad food or service, expect it to be packed though

Been going to Griffs since i was a kid. Spent many quarters on video games here when they brought in Pacman, Zaxxon, Wizard of War, Moon Patrol etc. Good times. Food is still the same great food as it has always been. My favorite is the #1 ordered HOT is the best way to go. But sometimes I still go old school and place my order 'wimpy style' which is ordering a whole bag of the small hamburgers. Just something about the flavor that no other burger chain has ever come close to matching. Dont forget the absolte best french fries offered by any fast food chain. Griffs is also the the safest place to eat in the 'hood as there are ALWAYS police officers, sherriffs, constables etc enjoying a great burger at any given time of the day. Not to mention it has always seemed to be off limits for any gang violence or presence as it is a staple to the area and sacred to most everyone in the area. These are the things that keep me not only coming to Griffs, but coming to the buckner location specifically for all these years. Even though I have moved away from the area. read more

A blast from the past! Griffs used to be a popular hangout spot in my youth approximately two decades ago. Not much has changed including the same decor, chairs, tables and booths. This is a no frills restaurant, but the food is still good. It leans to the greasy burger side but the taste is much better than most fast food places. The meat quality is what brings most people back, it looks and tastes like beef and the questionable patties you have at other places. I recommend checking out the weekly special item to see if there is a new flavor combination that's not on the regular menu. Also keep in mind that you can order the way you want so don't be afraid to let them know how you like your bread and sauces. 3 stars for the nostalgia and the food. And their fried pies are amazing! read more

Great ice!!! I had a really good steak sandwich with my bread toasted on both sides and cheddar cheese.

Food is good. Fast service. Very nostalgic. Great music. The servers could be friendlier though. They seem like they don't want be there. They do listen so why you what and don't disappoint. The monster is such a deal, it's so big you can have it for lunch the next day. read more

I like going here because it's really cheap and old school, the area is very ghetto and unclean but what can you demand for a cheap price.

If I were you, I would not go here at all. My family and I got food poisoning the day after eating the burgers. I received it the worst, with me still showing symptoms today and barely being able to walk . We, three of us, ate this food for dinner on the 17th of February. It was the last thing I ate that day, and then I woke up showing symptoms. And before you say, "oh something else might have given you that," I drank a smoothie for breakfast and lunch, because I had a dentist appointment, that happened to be across the street from this Griff's. I hadn't been to Griff's since I was a kid, and I wanted to try it out again. Coupled with the food poisoning, the burgers were bland and greasy. I didn't notice a funny taste or anything, but I'm guessing they don't have a meat thermometer in the kitchen. Cheap yes, but not worth it in the long run. I really wish I didn't listen to my nostalgia. read more
